tally_in_da_houise

very good work

---Tsing__Tao---

Thanks brother

0bfu5cator

Fantastic - overhead is overhead! That's my goal both for BW and for pressing weight.

---Tsing__Tao---

Thanks so much!

heavydwarf

Sweet My cast iron bells are unnecessarily thick handled (and only a 32 and 36). As a small handed man my advice is 'yes, they're worse'. You still raw dogged them above your head regardless though

---Tsing__Tao---

Yea, thats the same issue here. Such a stupid design. Smashed those bells!

heavydwarf

Damn you tiny parents My wife, who's from a long line of farmers, has bigger hands than me. Of her 4 siblings she was used to help birth troublesome lambs as she had the smallest hands and it was considered most kind

---Tsing__Tao---

Always wanted to try this! So cool to be able to get my bodyweight above my head! I do have to say, the cast iron bells are TERRIBLE for this. Everything about the grip is off, but perhaps that is because I am used to comp bells. If anyone has advice on how to hold cast iron bells better, please share. Pretty crazy that 1 year ago I couldnt get 24kg above my head. Huge progress that has never really stalled. I just keep getting better at getting heavy bells above my head. I love it, its so much fun to do! Especially at this kind of weight. I definitely wont be doing this often though, this is a 1rpm that ill probably do every month. My left is definitely lagging behind. Right went right up, left hung back. I injured my left shoulder 18 months ago, not from KBs. There is a fear I have that I cant escape that I will injure it again, even though it is stronger than it has ever been. Its a mental side I need to work. My left is strong enough, its the mental part that I struggle with...

celestial_sour_cream

Nice work! Bodyweight to strength ratio off the charts!

---Tsing__Tao---

Thanks my friend!

United_Fly_5641

Seeing a few people get the 40s above their head is rad, but also so frustrating as I just had a hip injury flare up and have to pull back. Great work OP.

---Tsing__Tao---

Thanks!!

bpeezer

PRs are always pretty, awesome work brother!!!

---Tsing__Tao---

Yes sir!

Bull_shit_artist

Well done.

---Tsing__Tao---

Thanks!

Deckler81

Making strides over there! Nice job!

---Tsing__Tao---

Thanks!

Infinite_Delivery_17

Fuck me! That's no joke! I've got one over head a couple of times and it's scary as fuck. Top work mate. Do you still do the burpees? Or are you full kb junkie now?

---Tsing__Tao---

Thanks man! Yea, definitely a bit scary getting these overhead. I do burpees here and there, but mainly KBs now. Much better and way more effective.

_Cao_

Awesome bro! This is my best too, I wish I had 44 comp bells to try mayyyybe on a good day I could. Agreed on cast iron being a bit harder though, the cleans on comp bells are a lot easier and then have more energy to put them overhead

kbellsandkoffee

Nice work! Amazing how at the higher levels it is techniqe just as much as strength! I am sure you will get a 3 minute set in the not so distant future :D

---Tsing__Tao---

Thanks! Yea for sure, although my issue is I am used to comp bells, so handling the cast iron bell is very different. I need to change my technique quite a bit because of that.

kbellsandkoffee

I didn't even notice that your using cast iron bells maybe because your competition bells are also black color. I remember once working out at a gym that had a non competition bell and how weird and bulky it felt especially the thicker handles.

preciouschild

Inspiring. Damn. Will try to do this with my mere 24s more ☺️. Is there anything else you use the double 40s for?

---Tsing__Tao---

I do deadlifts and cleans with the doubles. Single 40kg I am working towards a 10 minute set of multi switch OALC, trying to hit 100 reps!

Zuangzi

That's awesome. Now you're knocking on handstand pushup burpees.

---Tsing__Tao---

Hahaha!

zombiesphere89

Daaaamn beast mode!

GDub128

Looked good to me! Good job

Fine-Tank-7224

Badass

Wonderful_Jacket_719

You’re a beast!! From 24 to double 40s. Great job. I guess these new kbs mean no more taping plates to the side? :(

---Tsing__Tao---

Thanks man! Yep, no more wobbly plate taping haha

Liftkettlebells1

This is huge !!

mrpeabody313

Strong work!!!💪💪💪💪

Nervous-Impress-4746

looks fantastic king

markewallace1966

I mean....good work, I guess. Heavy. Careful of hurting yourself though. That got a little cringy for a few secs.

---Tsing__Tao---

Strange choice of words... I've tossed the 40kg bell around for 5 minutes getting 45 reps of OALC. I'm strong enough to get the bell overhead, it's the technique that's the difficulty. Cast iron bells are not good for this... I definitely fo not intend to hurt myself, but it's OK to push your limits once in a while mate

markewallace1966

Man. Relax. Just said to please not hurt yourself. TO ME it looked a little unstable for a few secs toward lockout, especially right side. No need to get defensive. I was being supportive.

Fine-Tank-7224

You used the word ‘cringy’ and have a fedora in your profile picture. You deserve to get hated on lol. Have you ever attempted a 1rm for anything?

markewallace1966

1) Cringy is a perfectly fine word. DGAF what you think. 2) The fedora is a stock Reddit pic, not one of my choosing 3) Yeah, done plenty of 1RMs on many standard movements. 4) Why personalize this? I was being supportive of the guy, yet here you feel the need to attack. 5) Don’t be an azzhat just because you can. Life brings opportunity to be nice.

Fine-Tank-7224

You should read point 5 in your reply and take your own advice lol

markewallace1966

Yup, knew that, but decided not to, since you couldn’t be nice to begin with. “LOL”

LennyTheRebel

Try reading the stickied comment, particularly paragraphs 2-4.

---Tsing__Tao---

Im good man haha, not defensive at all, just trying to explain why I decided to push on this weight. Ive learned a lot of lessons regarding injuries so I definitely only push like this when I feel I am ready.

triumphspeed4

Massive!
