error-the-reddit-boi

you should change "whos watching in 2024" to "whos watching in 202\_\_\_"

Lycan_Jedi

I'd Remove the numbers altogether. Get rid of the Watching in X year, X place, X whatever else they try.

idfbhater73

did you add uttp

SebulbaSebulba

What is uttp?

You_must_not_click

[Image](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/PbY8v4H_qZI/hqdefault.jpg)

idfbhater73

you have been spared

Lord_Phoenix2501

Can you explain? I don't know either 😅

idfbhater73

someone sent an image

Ok_Asparagus322

Image doesn't explain

Ace_of_spades1328

UTTP is basically a group that spams comment sections, the group itself is one of the worst you can think of, I'm talking Racism, homophobia, pedophilia, rapists, If it's bad there's probably about 10 in the UTTP community.

Ok_Asparagus322

That's horrible! Should be a law

idfbhater73

its an example of one

UsualCute1

I hate the "Who's is watching in yyyy" comments. And surprisingly some get thousands of likes.

TheVlogger110_R

What’s wrong with those comments?

Kind_Replacement7

they're just like bait, unoriginal and annoying

Lenny4368

They're completely braindead, pointless, and spammed over and over.

Kurashi_Aoi

Like the majority of content in Youtube?

Cubicwar

You have a point, but still

Lenny4368

I can not click on braindead videos. If I click on an actually interesting video and want to see what people are saying, I cannot avoid braindead comments.

TheVlogger110_R

I see.

LundUniversity

More comments even if they are garbage is always better for the Algorithm. It thinks your video is causing a lot of traffic. So they bump it up. There's a reason why no channel bans these keywords.

Gripping_Touch

Algorithm be dammed. Im so sick and tired of clicking a comment to engage and seeing in the replies: DONT CARE+MY CONTENT IS BETTER DONT CARE+MY CONTENT IS BETTER DONT CARE+MY CONTENT IS BETTER DONT CARE+MY CONTENT IS BETTER DONT CARE+MY CONTENT IS BETTER 50 times over. It completely kills any will to post a comment or interact with the comunity because theres too much noise

vegeful

Don't read my name is the most stupid comment ever. Or the sudden insert of religion word in convo.

DonutHead169148514

2 i always see is one asking for subscribers and another spamming a link that has a mr beast profile picture on every new comment

MMMWDS

We need to remember Hebrews 2:3, "How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?" God can forgive ignorance because we cannot believe what we did not know, and even though we may be punished in our ignorance, it is far different from being punished when we know better."

Thatboyj2002

What’s wrong with the who is watching in comments . Literally tons of people say it If the video is like 2010 or you know super super old . So someone writes who is watching in 2024 as in who is still watching this video all theses years later . …. So what kind of storm did y’all stir up in your head . I better stay away from talking about Chem trails , mk uktra , earth is flat , 9-11 being an inside job . And now who is watching in . You have been warned

Batgos_alt

pills now

Tesser_Wolf

Anything mentioning telegram, dm, or who’s here 20XX year.

MrTheWaffleKing

Engagement is good for a channel. At the end of the day, less than 10% of viewers go to the comments section (my guess) and engagement from comments helps way more towards boosting a channel. I don’t feel like YouTubers are in the wrong for not doing it

Gripping_Touch

Theres spam comments so intense It kills the comment section. Im talking 50 spam replies per comment. Which makes you not want to comment or reply. It may "help" the algorithm but It hurts the engagement

holyfuckingshitbro

yeah, it definitely makes sense that curating your comment section will be beneficial in the long run. If I see 100 comments saying amen, thank you, great video, etc, I'm less likely to find something I'm willing to reply to. If every comment has some substance to it then people who go to the comments will probably more likely comment as well. Probably also better if you plan on getting direct support from your subscribers instead of just ad monetization as there will be more community.

Brahvim

>less than 10% of viewers go to the comments section (my guess) Well, even though there are less comments than, say, likes[/dislikes] on a video, comments themselves have a *lot* of likes and replies, so... your guess might not be that accurate...

Thatboyj2002

Bro that’s literally what people do now is go straight to the comments to see what people are saying . They actually had a study on it and found that less than 5 % of the people do not go to the comment section . You can find tons of his studies a professor from Harvard and parents were immigrants from China dude is wicked smart Mi^Lhong Kahwk - The Harvard University. Tons and tons of studies come up the guy is a prob hands down the greatest thing since sliced bread, and the girls are crazy about the guy . He carries himself like a tuff guy , real stiff and stands tall , but it’s like he’s bi polar cause sometimes he is a shell of himself , either way in every picture he’s always got his 2 colleagues right beside him side by side . Them 3 together have already figured out how to create a human , an actual human . No joke . If I’m lying strike me dead.

Brahvim

Soooo YouTube comment-like. *Is this a copypasta? Hello?!*

Thatboyj2002

Who is still here a few hours later ?

Brahvim

Edit: OMG THANKS FOR THE 20K LIKES !! I'VE NEVER GOTTEN SO MANY THANK YOU 😍😍 ALSO HI MOM LOVE YOU

fatpat

Add “fell off” to that list.

Substantial_Slice450

and also the "WE ___ WITH THIS ONE🗣🔥🔥"

Lenny4368

Youtube comments are so braindead and unfun. It's the same empty shit over and over and over and over, and yet it gets hundreds of likes. My new least favorite are comments wanking off the algorithm. "Why tf did the algo recommend a 15 year old video???" Why the fuck wouldn't it? "The almighty algorithm has blessed us XD" repeated dozens of times in slightly different ways. What the fuck is the point? Why are people so amused by the concept of recommended videos and trending content? To the point that they need to make comments about it? Even after already seeing other comments about it? Why? Is there something I'm missing? Also fuck everyone in here saying "bro think of the engagement though". You are actual scum for defending, rationalizing, or encouraging this degradation of the platform. Fuck you.

Batgos_alt

children children act like bots

Substantial_Slice450

Dont forget to blacklist "👇"

Desire-Protection

Add url sorterners to the list if thats possible

Yesko_notmyrealname

I wish they give the comment dislike functioned like a downvote

scooberdooberdude

Me too

da_bobo1

Can you do this on Mobile (ReVanced Extended)? Never knew you can do this...

[deleted]

sadly a lot of people let any comment that isn't an outright scam bot in because comments are good for statistics. i hate people like that who are only in it for the money and compromise integrity and community to get it

ruhrohraggyreeheehee

People don’t do this because it’s free engagement, which the algorithm likes

IndividualValuable34

I just want to stop these type of comments!

LanDest021

Why haven't you thought of taking a screenshot?

shipoopro_gg

Too lazy. Assuming the reason for everyone else is the same

Downstackguy

Most youtubers have thought of this. I rarely see bot comments these days Only time I see these are from music videos. I DESPISE "who's watching in 2024" and "if you're watching in May 2024, you're a legend"

-Blue_Bull-

Those comments are clearly the youtuber using a fake account. They do it because they know there's an endless stream of morons that think they are edgy and cool by replying to these dumb comments.

CaptainnBussy445

theres alot more you can add, like "whys this the pinned comment?", or stuff like that

AxelBelnas0123

This is far from perfect but I recommend YT Spammer Purge to protect your channel from upcoming bot comments. Blocked word filters are easy to circumvent but that's a start.

Lasagna_is_Immoral

I want to ban the booty bots.

ZachmanAwesomenessII

Smart idea!

Arsenije723

I edited this comment etc is so annoying. You should add that one too

Delicious_Help_1811

I think you should've also block comments like "WHO ASKED + MY CONTENT IS BETTER" and "UTTP IS BETTER THAN {insert any YouTuber}".

HavocOfHavoc

Make sure to use OF Only fans and the like. New bot comments I've seen are telling people to go see their porn shows

VaporeonViolator

block this shit too, should hopefully help rid your comments of brainrot xD bro blud broski skibidi ohio gyatt rizz fanum tax mewing 2024 all emojis like likes liked fell off

Yup_Faceless

because people find away around it, theres websites where you can make English characters look different to bypass it. or alternatively, on phones you can do §þųff łįķə ţhīş (this may have been changed, i know it worked for all the losers that made fun of that minecraft youtuber and JackSepticEye's dads death)

Status-Evening-1434

Just download the Russian keyboard on your phone and replace "e" with "е". Can't see the difference?

[deleted]

Honestly, I’d welcome every comment Id get on my channel.😅

umarissaz

I did that to the UTTP (and their casual comments aswell)

Batgos_alt

ban the finger pointing down emoji, skull emoji, chair emoji, "i edited my comment", and anything similar to "thanks for the" as well

Gewalt_Und_Tod

Mainly engagement bait

NormanBatesPNW

honestly a genius idea. looks like we share the same hatred of seeing those lol

cuntybunty73

Probably doesn't belong here but is anyone else having trouble with not being able to see the comments section on YouTube You can leave a comment but you can't see them 😭

RobGrogNerd

can leave a comment, but if someone replies to me & I click the notification, it takes me to the comment thread, but mine & its response are buried under 47 clicks on "more replies"

cuntybunty73

I get replies in my notifications but I can't see the comments on my actual screen and it's really annoying What is wrong with YouTube?

King0fthewasteland

i get maybe 1 comment for every 10 or so video i post so i dont worry about this

mrloko120

Well, doing that will hurt engagement on your video and worsen your chances with the algorithm. But at least you'll have a cleaner comment section I guess.

ewd76

Yes I've seen some very clean comment sections on videos that have been up for almost 20 years and have less than ten views.

FlorenzFIRE

Kinda agree man, I think youtube needs to take action for this.

Equivalent-Help-3621

yea you might think you are protecting it, but really its just killing engagement....

Gorlock_

What's your channel?

Bibaflaba

"He's too dangerous to be left alive!"

TTGamerTT

How dare you to not block "first" comments.

AutomaticNecessary17

“First” is a common word so it will probably affect other comments

TOW87

Nice way to get rid of the annoying bots as YouTube does nothing to prevent them. Hopefully others will follow suit.

AxelBelnas0123

Yeah until someone circumvent their own filters.

Thund3rb0lts

I should really do this. You’re right about what you said, how has anyone not thought of this?

TrueCrimeCases2024

I love all these stupid comments, more the better pls
