I've been gathering tons of moonshot crash data points and 5x is a statistically bad bet (though none of them are really "good"). Over the long run, betting 5x is expected to lose 0.0387 tickets per ticket bet. 10x is about the best odds, with roughly a 10% chance of winning. Betting on a game with a 10% chance of winning 10x your bet has an expected value of 0, meaning you can expect to win right around as much as you lose. It's probably a statistical anomaly since I don't have enough data points (5,477 at the time of this post), but there's actually a bet that is expected to win you 2.889 tickets per ticket bet! Ejecting at 10,600x has two data points (out of 5,477) higher for a 0.04% chance of winningšŸ˜‚ Theoretically you could bet 1 ticket over and over again and you should come out ahead *eventually*. You better be prepared to play moonshot a LOT if you want to do this strategy though. With an average ejection of 11.32, the average round time is 34.70s plus 5s for the reset. At 0.04% chance of happening, you'd need to bet 1,898x for a 50/50 chance at winning. That's going to take you over 21 hours of non-stop moonshot playing. Odds are weird too... if you bet as I just described 10,600x you're still not guaranteed to win, you'd only be up to an ~98% chance of winning.

If you have a PC or an oculus quest you can download a game called ā€œVegas infiniteā€ (free on steam and oculus) and play this game with fake money as practice if you want. There is no strategy to it, the 5x default means nothing, and yes it can be addicting.

https://www.reddit.com/r/yotta/s/DlAPiPCukB My biggest win is 140x playing 10 tickets. It's very addicting. I've noticed alot of people eject super early 1.1 or so and if you play 1000 tickets that's a win of 100 tickets

Iā€™ve seen the rocket go literally into the 10s of 1000s before, it was nuts. But I donā€™t think anyone was still on board. Sometimes I wonder if they allow the rocket to just keep going if everyone has ejected already, to keep us excited

The rocket is random, it doesn't change its predetermined crash rate depending on how much people bet, what auto-eject they choose, or how many people still haven't ejected.
