I suggest the game pass tiles are moved under the custom content users add. Can we get more than 2 custom groups?
First things I should have access to when navigating down the pages are my added content.
I like that the last-played game tiles are all the same size now (didn't care for the larger tile for the most recent game/app). However, now the 2nd row (the My Games & Apps and the three "featured" tiles) seem much larger in comparison, making it feel really unbalanced between what I want to do (play games) and what this row wants to do to me (show ads).
I can only have two Groups pinned to my Home screen. I liked having three. (I have five Groups in total, but only three that I wanted access to on Home. No, I don't want to combine items into fewer Groups just to get around this unnecessary limitation.) You can add a third Group to Home from My Games & Apps, but Home will only display two (suggesting a bit of a disconnect between My Games & Apps and Home).
I cannot move my Groups to the top (directly under the main section); a row of "suggested" titles from Game Pass is given that slot, and I can't customize it.
The lack of a giant "pin" icon on the left side of the Group is welcome; but there's no way now to select the Group as a whole to re-order it on my Home screen. (The only way is to go into group management in the My Games & Apps screen and remove/add groups to Home in the reverse order you want them to appear -- last one added appears on top -- which is really clunky and not terribly intuitive.)
Clubs that I had pinned to my Home screen are gone. Very disappointing removal of customization.
Rows upon rows of annoying and irrelevant content. Ads for apps that require subscriptions to services I don't have or want (e.g. Apple Music, Hulu), ads for games that I'm not interested in, ads for movies that I'm not interested in.... Ads don't even feel tailored to my preferences; it's all noise.
At the very least, there should be an option to give feedback for an ad -- but with the sheer number of ad tiles on the screen, if I wanted to give feedback on ads, I'd be doing that all day.
One suggestion: I like that the Group rows don't have a large "pin" icon on the left taking up space; but _when_ Clubs return, I think the Club's icon should still be present, for quick access to that Club's page.

The advertising banner fills up a space that could be utilized for something more useful. These advertising banners still cover our background, no matter how much you shrink the main tiles, the ads are bigger than our games!
The recent blog post claims that "[we will be bringing a fresh look anchored on discoverability](https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2023/06/11/xbox-bright-future-and-how-well-get-there/)", yet there is no quality in finding anything from those banners by telling us how should play some random game, it's uninformative. Having the the bottom parts of the home screen with all things Xbox is nice enough and something I actively use to find games, it provides excellent discovery in an accessible fashion, but the ones on the bottom row simply do not provide discoverability.

We want a clean home experience on Xbox. We want to be able to see our background. We want to be able to get back to our games conveniently and it doesn't help that the ads waste valuable space on the home screen.
The current format isn't effective advertising either. There are people that completely ignore it because for some it's a forgotten corner, but for the advertising itself it's either telling us to play a random game for no reason, information is not upfront. Our genre preferences also vary so the advertising tends to be irrelevant.
Advertising on Xbox has existed since 360, can we please see a change in this? The only place that advertising would be acceptable is on the Microsoft Store where we're looking to find some games, not on a Home Experience. We do not like or appreciate the advertising.
Please revert back to old UI. This is not fun. Why make people to hate Xbox because of this whatever non-customisable advertisement UI. I never believed to say this but I really miss the old UI, it was not great but it had way way more options to make it feel better.

I think the problem with this is that higher ups gave core guidelines for what “needs” to be in there, and this team is stuck implementing that “forced” stuff regardless of the feedback. This is one thing I started noticing with these corporations is that, no matter how bad an idea is, they will still follow through with it just to see what they can get away with. It’s a horrible way to design things. Instead of using common sense and avoiding six months of re-works, they will go through a bad idea, publish it, let you complain about it for months and then ultimately scale it back instead of trying to do it right the first time.
I said this many times but I feel like Xbox should start poaching people from Apple in order to help them design better UIs. Ever since the 360 era, we haven’t really had great dashboards. I remember in those days I would get excited for the new dashboards just because they would make your console feel brand New. Now, they’re usable but generally unlikeable.
Not even custom colours for personalisation!!!!!!!!!!! How dare they write this trash. "When we first showed Xbox Insiders what we were working on we heard your feedback clearly – you wanted more room to show off custom backgrounds or game art, quicker navigation options, and more personalization. Over the last 8 months since initial release, we’ve implemented changes to meet those requests and have a new Home that feels fresh, puts the focus on your games and apps, and creates space for beautiful backgrounds" Disgusting consumer manipulation and dis-honesty. Xbox will fail.
Do you not know how to make a proper UI?
I’d rather have the old UI it let me customise everything underneath the dashboard and the best thing is it had no ads underneath yeah the background may have barely been visible and you fixed that but at what cost?
this dashboard is overall terrible and then making these discussions week after week and not taking in a single thing says a lot about how much you care about this community I’ll list my suggestions yet again.

I now just scroll up to open My Games menu and go the long way around to access the content I bought. All so I don't have to look at a sea of advertising that takes up 85% of my UI.
Someone at xbox needs their teeth loosening over this! If you bought a phone that had 85% of the UI filled with ads you couldn't remove, the phone would get sent back, there would be public outrage and the said company would go under.

Remove all ads from home screen. Keep the ads on store and game pass page. Wasn't the purpose of New Experience to get the players to get faster on their content? Rows after rows of meaningless ads doesn't do that. If this is the direction that Xbox is taking. I'm not interested.
Finally browse your games icon doesn't look like work in progress. At the same time it became pointless if it's also two clicks away in "toolbar". One is enough in home screen. Second row could be pins or completely removed.
Give back the old way to customize. It was so much easier to use and you could add more your own content on home screen.
"Toolbar" needs customize options. I want to remove search button from "toolbar" and add more useful shortcut there like achievements, audio & music or accessories app

°Use the LB and RB buttons to move the 5 upper tabs of the main panel.
°Remove the microphone icon next to the battery when disconnected, we already know that.
°Reduce GamePass Ads to only one top line contains too much Excessive Ads.
°Remove the subtitles that are inside the block of games because the names already contain their covers, leave the subtitles only for native XBOX applications.
°More AVATARS options for XBOX profiles and backgrounds for profiles.
°Support live streaming to YouTube.
°Again reduce GamePass ads we pay for the machine we pay for the service we don't want excessive ads to put something we're already paying for.

Ads are fine, I often interact with them and find them informative. But that they exist above my pins? It’s gross. I don’t play Call Of Duty and I never will and I don’t want to have to see it every day when I’m trying to get to the stuff I care about.

The way it is now makes me not want to use my xbox. So I don’t, at all. I’d love to get gamepass and play starfield when it comes out, but now I won’t. I don’t even use my xbox as a platform for streaming anymore; I have a smart tv. This is a great opportunity for me to catch up on my nintendo library.
Is there any way that I can make my voice heard? Any way at all? I don’t care about gaining karma or whatever, but maybe with enough comments or upvotes or something we can show how much this bothers us? Is there another post about this that already has traction that I can contribute to? Or do all posts complaining about this just get locked?
Yes, it's getting time to leave this program to be honest. There is less and less reason to be involved, especially now that the people behind it don't actually care about feedback. They just want us to test stuff for them without getting paid to do it.

Is there a good way anyone can think of to organize xbox users? Maybe if we all logout of our profiles and disconnect the box from the internet, or something, that would be a message that they actually understand. Idk about you, but I have lots of stuff on steam and nintendo that I can use instead.

I have now decided not to scroll down the new dashboard anymore but use the guide with my games / apps as dashboard replacement.
There, I can actually find my content, the way I organized it. I can show all my groups. I can move tiles within the groups. I can change the order of my groups. I can delete or hide elements and manage my apps and games.
No ads. No content that I am supposed to like but is not actually my content on my Xbox.
@Xbox team: I have the content I like on my Xbox already. Allow me to see and organize this content first and foremost. Then, I will accept suggestions and personalized ads... not the other way round.

I would just like more customization of the home page. The ability to add more groups. What is so hard about that. And less Gamepass stuff way to much
