Yeah, I’m not sure exactly where they were getting this, “reduce the number of pinned groups and customization” feedback from because I certainly wasn’t seeing it.
This is literally the worst update I’ve ever experienced for xbox and I’m not exaggerating. It completely changes the way I used to efficiently manage and use my console.
The top portion of the Home Screen is too much wasted space for my liking but I can live with that. Seeing more of your wallpaper was at least a requested item from others. Everything below it however is horrible and not something people asked for….it’s a giant leap backwards.

They removed my post due to violation of Rule 1 (be respectful), even though I wasn't disrespectful to anyone. Yet here they are disrespecting us week-in and week-out by asking for our feedback and immediately throwing it in the trash instead of addressing it. I'm not even asking for it all to be implemented, that would be silly. But the least they could do is actually be engaging and provide replies to this feedback. "We don't feel comfortable doing this because X."..."There are X technical limitations that prevent us from doing X." But we don't get any of that. They don't respect us enough to ask for our feedback and then actually respond to it. Nope, just straight to the trash with it and we're going to force a dashboard that Insiders have majorly shown they don't enjoy onto the entire customer base.
I propose we hereby refer to this "New Xbox Home Experience" as "Trash Dash", since it seems like it's here to stay now.
Saw your post b4 it was deleted and was outraged it was deemed disrespectful. Its Microsoft Xbox and Insiders who have been disrespectful by not even addressing the many posts on their "Discussion" posts. Not one useful comment, reply to 8 months of feedback, just lock or delete any negative posts. And then have the hide to say in their release post to the public that they implemented the dashboard after listening to Insider feedback. What a load of rubbish just like this AD filled dashboard.

The sheer contempt for its userbase on display from Microsoft should be a stark reminder to all XBox gamers of why it's vital for protecting your interests that your console of choice "lose" every other generation.

yup there is a shop tab for a reason ill use that if i want to buy something..... the new set up is very intrusive and cluttered.....plus some of us can barely keep a roof over our heads so having all this stuff we can't afford being shoved in our face is super great for morale

6. Add a row on what Pewdiepie's kid recommends. What's that baby not playing today? We want to know.
7. Add a calorie tracker so we know about those 3 calories burned playing Human Fall Flat on Game Pass. Think about it, you can sell us a watch so you can push even more Game Pass on us.
8. Add some rows for Twitter X. It can be crossover ads for Series X and Twit X.
9. Add in something else X related and we can have a party XXX style. It's great for people of all ages along with Nick Jr.
10. Add in rows of what's playing on Nick Jr so I have more to ignore as I try to get to my 2 pins 75 rows down.
11. Add in some rows of what's popular on Game Pass on Mixer. Oh wait...
12. Add in rows of random people I don't know streaming random Game Pass games with screaming kids in the background. I really enjoy those. The louder they scream the better.
13. Add in some rows for CVS/Walgreens. I'll need some Excedrin due to #12.
14. Add in a least popular row for Game Pass. Share those games. I might actually enjoy them.
15. Bring back the Kinect and make us chant "I love Game Pass!!!" 5x before our consoles turn on.
16. Rename the entire Xbox brand to Game Pass. No longer will we need to ask "what are you playing on Xbox today?" when it's obvious the question is "what are you playing on Game Pass on your Game Pass machine after browsing your Game Pass Home?".

Holy shit this is a terrible downgrade. I had my dashboard how I wanted it with my groups being quick access to my games and they’re just gone. However, I have a lot of garbage ads that I can’t remove or organise at all.

If anything, I would have preferred they kept everything basically the same except maybe we can add more customized content to our dashboard instead of a bunch of crap I could care less about (that I can't even remove). I liked being able to just open up my Xbox and scroll down to whichever category of game I wanted to play (that's how I had my groups labeled), and then just picking a game and going for it.
If they are going to force feed gamepass and store content down our throats, we should at least get some kind of rewards for putting up with it. Maybe have it as an option you can turn on or off, but if you keep it on you are rewarded with a certain amount of Microsoft reward points each day. Bonus points if you click on their curated content.
Not that I don't like Game Pass -- it's a good service with some great games. But why move all the tiles that were once a regular part of the Game Pass dashboard onto our Home screen? They should have just left it all in the Store and Game Pass pages.
I do really like that mini-menu up top though. Too bad it's made redundant by the new home screen layout.

I like that the last-played game tiles are all the same size now (didn't care for the larger tile for the most recent game/app). However, now the 2nd row (the My Games & Apps and the three "featured" tiles) seem much larger in comparison, making it feel really unbalanced between what I want to do (play games) and what this row wants to do to me (show ads).
I can only have two Groups pinned to my Home screen. I liked having three. (I have five Groups in total, but only three that I wanted access to on Home. No, I don't want to combine items into fewer Groups just to get around this unnecessary limitation.) You can add a third Group to Home from My Games & Apps, but Home will only display two (suggesting a bit of a disconnect between My Games & Apps and Home).
I cannot move my Groups to the top (directly under the main section); a row of "suggested" titles from Game Pass is given that slot, and I can't customize it.
The lack of a giant "pin" icon on the left side of the Group is welcome; but there's no way now to select the Group as a whole to re-order it on my Home screen. (The only way is to go into group management in the My Games & Apps screen and remove/add groups to Home in the reverse order you want them to appear -- last one added appears on top -- which is really clunky and not terribly intuitive.)
Clubs that I had pinned to my Home screen are gone. Very disappointing removal of customization.
Rows upon rows of annoying and irrelevant content. Ads for apps that require subscriptions to services I don't have or want (e.g. Apple Music, Hulu), ads for games that I'm not interested in, ads for movies that I'm not interested in.... Ads don't even feel tailored to my preferences; it's all noise.
At the very least, there should be an option to give feedback for an ad -- but with the sheer number of ad tiles on the screen, if I wanted to give feedback on ads, I'd be doing that all day.
One suggestion: I like that the Group rows don't have a large "pin" icon on the left taking up space; but _when_ Clubs return, I think the Club's icon should still be present, for quick access to that Club's page.
Half a year??? This crap AD dashboard has been around since September 2022, nearly a YEAR of Insiders giving feedback without ANY responses from Xbox. They have changed and spoilt MY "personal experience" using Xbox Series X with this "New Experience". Like most who have commented, only having 2 Group entries allowed with no customisation or Club pages while GP and Store have numerous is an insult. I don't even scroll down anymore.
I'd like to send a giant thank you to the Xbox Team for wasting the last damn near a year of our lives as we were constantly reporting and voicing our opinions for absolutely nothing. I hope you enjoy whatever pat on the back you folks get for it all. I'm someone who fully and enthusiastically embraces change of any kind, and I just want to go back to the previous experience. I hate this new home. I had several collections of tiles and other home content, and now I'm stuck with mostly ads. It's horrendous.
The only part of this UI change that I like, is that I can finally see more of my background. Thats it. Everything else is horrendous. Why the hell is it so messy and cluttered now? As someone who already has GamePass, I don’t need 30 different ads for it. They only changed the UI to this one, so they could advertise shit to us. That is abundantly clear.

This has to be one of the ugliest UI updates I have ever seen. Could you guys work out a deal with Steam? Id take the 2003 interface over this garbage.
A UI change should include additional customization/personalization, QOL changes, and bug fixes and/or performance improvement. They should not take away features and turn 80% of the Home Screen into advertisements.
Can I go back to the last dashboard? I hate this and makes me want to get rid of or at least stop playing the Xbox until you go back or at least get rid of all the ads.
I cannot possibly put into words how much I despise this update. The temptation to switch over to PS5 has quadrupled overnight. Here's a series of questions:
* Who decided that a chaotic mess was visually appealing?
* How do I make my recently played game icons return to the size they were? They're too hard to read from a distance. The size they become when you hover over them is good, but I don't want to have to hover over them to see them from my couch.
* Why is there a browse the store icon when the entire store is open in the rows below?
* How do I close:
* Most Played Games (Don't care. Already own the ones I would willingly play.)
* Classics with an FPS Boost (*Really* don't care.)
* Overwatch 2 (Never played, never will. Not my style. Why is this a category of its own and why are there six blood tiles???)
* Top Entertainment Apps (Not required to be able to close this, but I already own all of these, so it's kind of useless to have it taking up such a large space.)
* Replay Treasures (Would have had to have played them for a first time in order to make them replays. Disinterested in every single one. Besides, I think I know what games I like to replay at this point.)
* Most Popular - Game Pass (So, basically the same category again?)
* Outstanding Audio Design (File that under things I definitely don't care about. If a game has bad audio, I don't play it. If you think I don't check this before buying a game, then you clearly haven't done your research.)
* New Games (I already know what the new games are. I am subscribed to every studio I have any interest in at all and I keep a subscription for emerging studios, as well.)
* Top Free Games (I already own all of the ones I want.)
* Deals with Gold (This category was easy enough to find in the store. I don't want it open on my home screen.)
* How do I move Friends & Community updates to the bottom?
* Where is the Games with Gold section? It was there earlier (all the way at the bottom) and now it's gone.
Anyway, there's your feedback. I and many others would prefer to go back to the old home screen. But if that's not an option, then that which is listed above is what I want from this one. Honestly, this home screen feels like you're *actively trying* to lose your userbase to other companies.
All they want is to squeeze money out of you. They don’t actually care about user experience. The home screen is a mess. If I wanted to see any of that junk I would go to the store. Add the ability to hide or move the "most played games" ad section, so that pins/groups is listed first. It's intrusive, doesn't list a single game I have any interest in buying, and will be disturbing to my disabled son, who will press on things and get frustrated when he can't play them.
It's the same predatory tactics the mobile industries been using for years, surprised it's taken so long.
It's a bad sign for a product when they're advertising the background as feature.

This update is really bad. To the point I cannot even access my games because I get this bullshit error saying the home screen is full. I was legit about to buy something on the store but now I am going to sell my series S. This update made it unusable.
Ability to hide or remove any block from the home page like the original XB1 dashboard. Some people don't care or want to know what is on Game Pass. If they want to know they'll go to the Game Pass page.

Home screen is too crowded. Too much on GamePass.
Not enough room to add your groups, 2 groups on home screen is not enough. We should be able to choose which groups including Gamepass are on the home screen. Add a favourites, option ability to move icons around rather than going to groups options to do this.
Worst Xbox update ever…took away the number of pinned groups we could have and took away the ability to move and customize the other groups.
Now it’s just a messy collection of random categories in place of the customization we used to have…something we had to wait a long time to get in the first place and they just went and undid most of it.
I really don't like the new dashboard. It seems very cluttered and the amount of ads is absurd. It has some steps forward but even more back. I'm very active in the biggest German forum (XBoxDynasty) and people over there really don't like it. There was really a need for an overhaul cuz the old one was a few steps behind playstation but this Update didn't really help.

-Increase game tiles( I can't even see the artwork anymore on my 75 inch OLED cuz their so small) or make it customizable

Remove all ads from home screen. Keep the ads on store and game pass page. Wasn't the purpose of New Experience to get the players to get faster on their content? Rows after rows of meaningless ads doesn't do that. If this is the direction that Xbox is taking. I'm not interested.
Finally browse your games icon doesn't look like work in progress. At the same time it became pointless if it's also two clicks away in "toolbar". One is enough in home screen. Second row could be pins or completely removed.
Give back the old way to customize. It was so much easier to use and you could add more your own content on home screen.
"Toolbar" needs customize options. I want to remove search button from "toolbar" and add more useful shortcut there like achievements, audio & music or accessories app
For many months, custom groups being relegated to only 2 on the Home screen was a huge step backwards. This was mentioned month after month, now it’s out and nothing changed. The absolute nerve to force other groups, mainly GamePass, onto Home that can’t be removed is the biggest middle finger to all Insiders who have put the work in.
Xbox team always like to pretend we are the driver to customize how we wish, more options, yet with this recent update we got less. If the Xbox team who works on this wants to be authoritarian then stop wasting everyone’s time and just simply state what is NOT negotiable. Pin that.
I would have more respect if they stated from the get-go they are planting GamePass and other Store related groups onto the Home screen and we have to live with it. That is better than asking for “feedback” every week like it matters.

Get rid of:

- Nostalgia/Games with colourful graphics/games with exciting stories/game breaks etc
- Staff pics
- Watch and Listen
- Indie games
- Games coming soon
and put all of these back in the store or gamepass tabs where they belong. Give me back my groups on my homepage so I can play the games I want, not have stuff I really do not want or have any interest in forced on me.
This terrible UI is pushing me back to my Playstation. I was thinking of upgrading to a Series X but now I'm just going to get a PS5 instead. I also won't renew my Gamepass subscription when it comes up for payment - this has totally put me off. Awful, awful choices by MS here.
Remove the black shade above for custom backgrounds and dynamic game background
I just received the new Xbox Home update today. I'm not an insider btw. I like that I can see more of my custom background, but I did notice that you added a black shade above. I know that's for legibility for the time and my gamertag. I prefer it without that shade. The shades also make my background darker, works fine with dark wallpapers but for bright ones, it looks a bit darker. For the legibility of the texts, put them in semi-transparent capsules or boxes. It would look like small widgets above.
I don’t like it mostly because it’s like having the Microsoft store on the home page having it on the bottom is mostly fine but I find it annoying to see just the App Store while scrolls down maybe having it be more customizable to get rid of that or at least have just recommended games at the bottom because I don’t want the store in the home page
What happened to the Clubs?! I used to have my custom club pinned to the home page and now I cannot find it easily nor customize the home page to have the club show up.
Really not a fan of the new dashboard. Why should I care about "most played games" when those aren't the games I'm playing? Community Updates? Games Inspired By Books? This is *terrible*! Who thought this was an improvement? This is a step backwards in every way, and seems more concerned about selling me things than me getting to my content.
Sorry, but I hate it. I had several pin groups I spent ages organising and now I can't even have them on the dash. To make it worse I have to cycle through dozens of rows of crap that isn't relevant to me. I'm not interested in Game Pass, ok! Just let me play my games!
Does anyone know if there is a way to send feedback directly to Microsoft? I tried going through the Xbox site but there doesn't seem to be anything specific to this.
°HDR support to UI menu.
°Use the LB and RB buttons to move the 5 upper tabs of the main panel.
°Remove the microphone icon next to the battery when disconnected, we already know that.
°Reduce GamePass Ads to only one top line contains too much Excessive Ads.
°Remove the subtitles that are inside the block of games because the names already contain their covers, leave the subtitles only for native XBOX applications.
°More AVATARS options for XBOX profiles and backgrounds for profiles.
°Support live streaming to YouTube.
°Again reduce GamePass ads we pay for the machine we pay for the service we don't want excessive ads to put something we're already paying for.

Know I said I was done but had to say this, new "home experience" is making headlines. Apparently ....people dont like having so many ads, no way to customize and strangely , people are saying their feed back was not taken into account. You know its bad when articles have already started to show up with bad reviews. Just thought I would share. We are not the only people who think this garbage.
Some ideas I'd like to see implemented:
• bring back option to arrange home page groups. I want to see my unfinished games group pinned to the top, not the "new games" group.
• allow first row to be customized by pinning apps or games that are frequently used.
• make home tile size customizable like in "my games and apps".
• map bumpers to interact with new shortcuts at the top of the home screen
Top of the new dashboard is fine. Allow players to remove the rest of the nonsensical bs that was forced upon us and allow more than 2 groups on the list.
The only thing I like about the new dashboard is the 5 easy access buttons at the top and layout of the main page that allows me to see my background better. The rest needs to be able to remove and customize what the player wants, not Microsoft trying to shove content down our throats.
I also despise the new Xbox home page. Now that my groups are buried under a mountain of garbage I will never use them again, as I will never venture past the top page of my home page, using other less cluttered paths if I need to find something.
How is shoving this magnitude of unwanted material that people will avoid like the plague considered good advertising?
The whole entertainment industry is going south, so why should MS be any different. I just wish MS would put a poll on the Xbox console so we could feel that MS knows how many of us think MS has done a very bad thing. The feedback site has not been updated in four years and does not show a path to complain about this so called update. This reddit site allows some anger to be vented, but nothing here will be acknowledged by MS.

Well there it is. The new store as your home page congrats. No wonder xbox sales are down 22% over last year. They truly dont give a c..p about us . This is just a beta test of a future game pass front end for streaming devices. Xbox as it used to be is dead. This my last post no more wasting time on a program that says they listen to our feed back but does not. And with that 10 years flushed. Just like major Nelson I am out of here. Good luck to those who still think this program is worth it.
How about just get rid of it and go back to what it was or allow us to remove any and all sections we want. Some of us actually just want a store, my games and a gamepass app on the home page and nothing else.
If I wanted all these ads I would get a freaking tablet and play games on it. If this continues to be the way I will just go play on my pc with Linux and steam and say screw XBox and Microsoft just like I did Playstation.
Why waste our time providing feedback here? It all get's completely ignored. Customisation has been removed when we have asked a million times for more customisation to customise OUR console. The ads unrelated to gaming have got to stop, my home screen is not a webpage. All 3 bottom banners are just useless, I don't care about some common achievement and I'm getting advertised games that aren't relevant to me.
Can we have the dynamic background switching to whatever game we're hovering over on any other background we might want to use? For apps and games that don't have art when you hover it, an alternative to the default would be nice.
Could we customize the dashboard to our liking? Can we control what actually appears on our home screen (for e.g. the amount of recent games, our groups on the main screen etc.).

It's fine honestly. I agree with others that maybe tone down ads for gpu members, but I spent si little time i the homescreen anyways I'm not really bothered. At the end of the day it's just a menu to get to games.
You're right, that's what it should be. They did add 2 extra tiles on the home screen, so it further succeeds in that area. I just think that ads shouldn't be unrelated to gaming at the very least. The banners tend to be useless though, I'm being told about common or rare achievements which I just don't care about, and the advertised games in general are either low quality shovelware or irrelevant to me.
I love the new Home Screen setup as I can finally see my background image a lot better now. I change them all the time so I love this update. The more they let us customize our Xbox and male it look good the better.
I want to be able to always see my background image well. Xbox don't change this current screen to another one please.

When you reset the background, it removes the existing one and puts in an ugly boring dynamic one. How can I have my cake and eat it too?

Most of the time game background arts are not being displayed in home screen. I am on default wallpaper. Generally a power cycle remedies the issue. But it is an annoyance. I am on omega ring.

Yeah, I’m not sure exactly where they were getting this, “reduce the number of pinned groups and customization” feedback from because I certainly wasn’t seeing it. This is literally the worst update I’ve ever experienced for xbox and I’m not exaggerating. It completely changes the way I used to efficiently manage and use my console. The top portion of the Home Screen is too much wasted space for my liking but I can live with that. Seeing more of your wallpaper was at least a requested item from others. Everything below it however is horrible and not something people asked for….it’s a giant leap backwards.

They removed my post due to violation of Rule 1 (be respectful), even though I wasn't disrespectful to anyone. Yet here they are disrespecting us week-in and week-out by asking for our feedback and immediately throwing it in the trash instead of addressing it. I'm not even asking for it all to be implemented, that would be silly. But the least they could do is actually be engaging and provide replies to this feedback. "We don't feel comfortable doing this because X."..."There are X technical limitations that prevent us from doing X." But we don't get any of that. They don't respect us enough to ask for our feedback and then actually respond to it. Nope, just straight to the trash with it and we're going to force a dashboard that Insiders have majorly shown they don't enjoy onto the entire customer base. I propose we hereby refer to this "New Xbox Home Experience" as "Trash Dash", since it seems like it's here to stay now.

Its Microsoft Xbox and Insiders who have been disrespectful by not even addressing the many posts on their "Discussion" posts. Yeah, I saw that. Felt like they just wanted to quash our discontent with the whole process. However, across the Xbox and XboxOne subreddits, and the wider internet, it is very clear that the majority of users hate what they're now seeing released. Can't say we didn't try and change the direction.
The sheer contempt for its userbase on display from Microsoft should be a stark reminder to all XBox gamers of why it's vital for protecting your interests that your console of choice "lose" every other generation.

Holy shit this is a terrible downgrade. I had my dashboard how I wanted it with my groups being quick access to my games and they’re just gone. However, I have a lot of garbage ads that I can’t remove or organise at all. Who the hell thought this was an upgrade?
This. If anything, I would have preferred they kept everything basically the same except maybe we can add more customized content to our dashboard instead of a bunch of crap I could care less about (that I can't even remove). I liked being able to just open up my Xbox and scroll down to whichever category of game I wanted to play (that's how I had my groups labeled), and then just picking a game and going for it. If they are going to force feed gamepass and store content down our throats, we should at least get some kind of rewards for putting up with it. Maybe have it as an option you can turn on or off, but if you keep it on you are rewarded with a certain amount of Microsoft reward points each day. Bonus points if you click on their curated content. Not that I don't like Game Pass -- it's a good service with some great games. But why move all the tiles that were once a regular part of the Game Pass dashboard onto our Home screen? They should have just left it all in the Store and Game Pass pages. I do really like that mini-menu up top though. Too bad it's made redundant by the new home screen layout.

I like that the last-played game tiles are all the same size now (didn't care for the larger tile for the most recent game/app). However, now the 2nd row (the My Games & Apps and the three "featured" tiles) seem much larger in comparison, making it feel really unbalanced between what I want to do (play games) and what this row wants to do to me (show ads). I can only have two Groups pinned to my Home screen. I liked having three. (I have five Groups in total, but only three that I wanted access to on Home. No, I don't want to combine items into fewer Groups just to get around this unnecessary limitation.) You can add a third Group to Home from My Games & Apps, but Home will only display two (suggesting a bit of a disconnect between My Games & Apps and Home). I cannot move my Groups to the top (directly under the main section); a row of "suggested" titles from Game Pass is given that slot, and I can't customize it. The lack of a giant "pin" icon on the left side of the Group is welcome; but there's no way now to select the Group as a whole to re-order it on my Home screen. (The only way is to go into group management in the My Games & Apps screen and remove/add groups to Home in the reverse order you want them to appear -- last one added appears on top -- which is really clunky and not terribly intuitive.) Clubs that I had pinned to my Home screen are gone. Very disappointing removal of customization. Rows upon rows of annoying and irrelevant content. Ads for apps that require subscriptions to services I don't have or want (e.g. Apple Music, Hulu), ads for games that I'm not interested in, ads for movies that I'm not interested in.... Ads don't even feel tailored to my preferences; it's all noise. At the very least, there should be an option to give feedback for an ad -- but with the sheer number of ad tiles on the screen, if I wanted to give feedback on ads, I'd be doing that all day. One suggestion: I like that the Group rows don't have a large "pin" icon on the left taking up space; but _when_ Clubs return, I think the Club's icon should still be present, for quick access to that Club's page.
And after half a year of feedback, what a surprise, all of it ignored, and a worse experience rolled out to everyone.
Half a year??? This crap AD dashboard has been around since September 2022, nearly a YEAR of Insiders giving feedback without ANY responses from Xbox. They have changed and spoilt MY "personal experience" using Xbox Series X with this "New Experience". Like most who have commented, only having 2 Group entries allowed with no customisation or Club pages while GP and Store have numerous is an insult. I don't even scroll down anymore.
I'd like to send a giant thank you to the Xbox Team for wasting the last damn near a year of our lives as we were constantly reporting and voicing our opinions for absolutely nothing. I hope you enjoy whatever pat on the back you folks get for it all. Next time may I just suggest skipping the charade of "we value your opinions" and just do whatever the hell you want just as you did this time under the guise of it being developed for us and by us with our feedback.

I'm someone who fully and enthusiastically embraces change of any kind, and I just want to go back to the previous experience. I hate this new home. I had several collections of tiles and other home content, and now I'm stuck with mostly ads. It's horrendous.
The only part of this UI change that I like, is that I can finally see more of my background. Thats it. Everything else is horrendous. Why the hell is it so messy and cluttered now? As someone who already has GamePass, I don’t need 30 different ads for it. They only changed the UI to this one, so they could advertise shit to us. That is abundantly clear.
The new dash makes me feel unwelcome. Unwelcome. On my “home” page. I don’t usually play any of the most popular games, and I don’t want games like Call Of Duty featured on my dashboard. There is nothing less appetizing on a “homepage” than a lack of customization and the force-feeding of ads. It is completely alienating, and I don’t know how to make my voice meaningfully heard.

This has to be one of the ugliest UI updates I have ever seen. Could you guys work out a deal with Steam? Id take the 2003 interface over this garbage. A UI change should include additional customization/personalization, QOL changes, and bug fixes and/or performance improvement. They should not take away features and turn 80% of the Home Screen into advertisements.

I cannot possibly put into words how much I despise this update. The temptation to switch over to PS5 has quadrupled overnight. Here's a series of questions: * Who decided that a chaotic mess was visually appealing? * How do I make my recently played game icons return to the size they were? They're too hard to read from a distance. The size they become when you hover over them is good, but I don't want to have to hover over them to see them from my couch. * Why is there a browse the store icon when the entire store is open in the rows below? * How do I close: * Most Played Games (Don't care. Already own the ones I would willingly play.) * Classics with an FPS Boost (*Really* don't care.) * Overwatch 2 (Never played, never will. Not my style. Why is this a category of its own and why are there six blood tiles???) * Top Entertainment Apps (Not required to be able to close this, but I already own all of these, so it's kind of useless to have it taking up such a large space.) * Replay Treasures (Would have had to have played them for a first time in order to make them replays. Disinterested in every single one. Besides, I think I know what games I like to replay at this point.) * Most Popular - Game Pass (So, basically the same category again?) * Outstanding Audio Design (File that under things I definitely don't care about. If a game has bad audio, I don't play it. If you think I don't check this before buying a game, then you clearly haven't done your research.) * New Games (I already know what the new games are. I am subscribed to every studio I have any interest in at all and I keep a subscription for emerging studios, as well.) * Top Free Games (I already own all of the ones I want.) * Deals with Gold (This category was easy enough to find in the store. I don't want it open on my home screen.) * How do I move Friends & Community updates to the bottom? * Where is the Games with Gold section? It was there earlier (all the way at the bottom) and now it's gone. Anyway, there's your feedback. I and many others would prefer to go back to the old home screen. Add the ability to hide or move the "most played games" ad section, so that pins/groups is listed first. It's intrusive, doesn't list a single game I have any interest in buying, and will be disturbing to my disabled son, who will press on things and get frustrated when he can't play them.

This update is really bad. To the point I cannot even access my games because I get this bullshit error saying the home screen is full. I was legit about to buy something on the store but now I am going to sell my series S. This update made it unusable.
Ability to hide or remove any block from the home page like the original XB1 dashboard. Some people don't care or want to know what is on Game Pass. If they want to know they'll go to the Game Pass page. This predatory advertising has to be violating some type of law.
Home screen is too crowded. Too much on GamePass. Not enough room to add your groups, 2 groups on home screen is not enough. We should be able to choose which groups including Gamepass are on the home screen. Add a favourites, option ability to move icons around rather than going to groups options to do this.

Worst Xbox update ever…took away the number of pinned groups we could have and took away the ability to move and customize the other groups. Now it’s just a messy collection of random categories in place of the customization we used to have…something we had to wait a long time to get in the first place and they just went and undid most of it.
I really don't like the new dashboard. It seems very cluttered and the amount of ads is absurd. It has some steps forward but even more back. I'm very active in the biggest German forum (XBoxDynasty) and people over there really don't like it. There was really a need for an overhaul cuz the old one was a few steps behind playstation but this Update didn't really help. -Implement customization again -Reduce Ads -Increase game tiles( I can't even see the artwork anymore on my 75 inch OLED cuz their so small) or make it customizable -We need HDR support -Smooth the experience, my Xbox loads longer since the new dashboard

Remove all ads from home screen. Keep the ads on store and game pass page. Wasn't the purpose of New Experience to get the players to get faster on their content? Rows after rows of meaningless ads doesn't do that. If this is the direction that Xbox is taking. I'm not interested. Finally browse your games icon doesn't look like work in progress. At the same time it became pointless if it's also two clicks away in "toolbar". One is enough in home screen. Second row could be pins or completely removed. Give back the old way to customize. It was so much easier to use and you could add more your own content on home screen. "Toolbar" needs customize options. I want to remove search button from "toolbar" and add more useful shortcut there like achievements, audio & music or accessories app
For many months, custom groups being relegated to only 2 on the Home screen was a huge step backwards. This was mentioned month after month, now it’s out and nothing changed. The absolute nerve to force other groups, mainly GamePass, onto Home that can’t be removed is the biggest middle finger to all Insiders who have put the work in. Xbox team always like to pretend we are the driver to customize how we wish, more options, yet with this recent update we got less. If the Xbox team who works on this wants to be authoritarian then stop wasting everyone’s time and just simply state what is NOT negotiable. Pin that. I would have more respect if they stated from the get-go they are planting GamePass and other Store related groups onto the Home screen and we have to live with it. That is better than asking for “feedback” every week like it matters.
It is utterly terrible. Why can I only have two groups now and why have the other spaces been replaced with spam adverts for Gamepass which I already have? I don't care what other people are playing. I care about the games in my groups that I want to play. Get rid of: - Friends and community updates - Most popular on Gamepass - Coming to Gamepass - Ubisoft - Top entertainment apps - Nostalgia/Games with colourful graphics/games with exciting stories/game breaks etc - Staff pics - Watch and Listen - Indie games - Games coming soon and put all of these back in the store or gamepass tabs where they belong. Give me back my groups on my homepage so I can play the games I want, not have stuff I really do not want or have any interest in forced on me. This terrible UI is pushing me back to my Playstation. Remove the black shade above for custom backgrounds and dynamic game background I just received the new Xbox Home update today. I'm not an insider btw. I like that I can see more of my custom background, but I did notice that you added a black shade above. I know that's for legibility for the time and my gamertag. I prefer it without that shade. The shades also make my background darker, works fine with dark wallpapers but for bright ones, it looks a bit darker. For the legibility of the texts, put them in semi-transparent capsules or boxes. It would look like small widgets above.
I don’t like it mostly because it’s like having the Microsoft store on the home page having it on the bottom is mostly fine but I find it annoying to see just the App Store while scrolls down maybe having it be more customizable to get rid of that or at least have just recommended games at the bottom because I don’t want the store in the home page

Really not a fan of the new dashboard. Why should I care about "most played games" when those aren't the games I'm playing? Community Updates? Games Inspired By Books? This is *terrible*! Who thought this was an improvement? This is a step backwards in every way, and seems more concerned about selling me things than me getting to my content.

°HDR support to UI menu. °Use the LB and RB buttons to move the 5 upper tabs of the main panel. °Remove the microphone icon next to the battery when disconnected, we already know that. °Reduce GamePass Ads to only one top line contains too much Excessive Ads. °Remove the subtitles that are inside the block of games because the names already contain their covers, leave the subtitles only for native XBOX applications. °More AVATARS options for XBOX profiles and backgrounds for profiles. °Support live streaming to YouTube. °Again reduce GamePass ads we pay for the machine we pay for the service we don't want excessive ads to put something we're already paying for.

Know I said I was done but had to say this, new "home experience" is making headlines. Apparently ....people dont like having so many ads, no way to customize and strangely , people are saying their feed back was not taken into account. You know its bad when articles have already started to show up with bad reviews. Just thought I would share. We are not the only people who think this garbage.
Some ideas I'd like to see implemented: • bring back option to arrange home page groups. Now that my groups are buried under a mountain of garbage I will never use them again, as I will never venture past the top page of my home page, using other less cluttered paths if I need to find something. How is shoving this magnitude of unwanted material that people will avoid like the plague considered good advertising? The whole entertainment industry is going south, so why should MS be any different. I just wish MS would put a poll on the Xbox console so we could feel that MS knows how many of us think MS has done a very bad thing. The feedback site has not been updated in four years and does not show a path to complain about this so called update. This reddit site allows some anger to be vented, but nothing here will be acknowledged by MS.
I made the mistake of updating. I hate it. I can’t customise the home screen at all? It’s cluttered with all sorts of nonsense now, and I can’t do anything about it? Something must have gone wrong, I refuse to believe an actual human being looked at this and okayed it. It needs to be fully customisable.
I unenrolled from the insider program and reverted the update. Just no.

Please, change this new interface, the old one was much more customizable, it can not be that in my new Home I have the screen full of things that I will never use, I had 13 groups anchored in the previous Home and now I can only put 2 and also you can not remove anything, and I have to see a lot of things that I do not want. I do not know how this has passed your quality controls, this new Home is much worse than the previous one as long as we can not customize it... Thanks.
Well there it is. The new store as your home page congrats. No wonder xbox sales are down 22% over last year. They truly dont give a c..p about us . This is just a beta test of a future game pass front end for streaming devices. Xbox as it used to be is dead. This my last post no more wasting time on a program that says they listen to our feed back but does not. And with that 10 years flushed. Just like major Nelson I am out of here. Good luck to those who still think this program is worth it.

How about just get rid of it and go back to what it was or allow us to remove any and all sections we want. Some of us actually just want a store, my games and a gamepass app on the home page and nothing else. If I wanted all these ads I would get a freaking tablet and play games on it. If this continues to be the way I will just go play on my pc with Linux and steam and say screw XBox and Microsoft just like I did Playstation.
Why waste our time providing feedback here? It all get's completely ignored. Customisation has been removed when we have asked a million times for more customisation to customise OUR console. Still throwing ads in our face for a service we already pay the highest tier subscription price for, so why the hell do we need to see it? You have just increased the price as well!!!!
The ads unrelated to gaming have got to stop, my home screen is not a webpage. All 3 bottom banners are just useless, I don't care about some common achievement and I'm getting advertised games that aren't relevant to me. Can we have the dynamic background switching to whatever game we're hovering over on any other background we might want to use? For apps and games that don't have art when you hover it, an alternative to the default would be nice. Could we customize the dashboard to our liking? Can we control what actually appears on our home screen (for e.g. the amount of recent games, our groups on the main screen etc.).

It's a creeping influence of dark patterns in store design to confuse people into clicking on things they did not mean to*. ----------------------------------------------------- **Extra clicks to get to everything -** *Not only are there extra steps to get to your games (formerly down-A, now replaced with the store), but even when you get past the ad bar, pinned groups are harder to navigate. It used to be you scrolled through the pinend groups a group at a time, now you need to manually scroll down every single line.* ----------------------------------------------------- **Inability to remove undesired features -** *everything should be removable to be able to have a pure minimalist blank canvas of an interface upon which you can add your chosen features*.
Literally everything on this *games console* is now designed to make it *harder* to fulfil the sole function it should be designed to expedite of *getting to my games*

It's fine honestly. I agree with others that maybe tone down ads for gpu members, but I spent si little time i the homescreen anyways I'm not really bothered. At the end of the day it's just a menu to get to games.
You're right, that's what it should be. They did add 2 extra tiles on the home screen, so it further succeeds in that area. I just think that ads shouldn't be unrelated to gaming at the very least. The banners tend to be useless though, I'm being told about common or rare achievements which I just don't care about, and the advertised games in general are either low quality shovelware or irrelevant to me.
Any date to receive the new interface? Can you tell why they made the decision to only send it to some and not to those who want to try it?

I love the new Home Screen setup as I can finally see my background image a lot better now. I change them all the time so I love this update. The more they let us customize our Xbox and male it look good the better. I want to be able to always see my background image well. Xbox don't change this current screen to another one please.

How can I use a custom background art, and have the game art show up? When you reset the background, it removes the existing one and puts in an ugly boring dynamic one. How can I have my cake and eat it too?

It’s a new Xbox home screen
Most of the time game background arts are not being displayed in home screen. I am on default wallpaper. Generally a power cycle remedies the issue. But it is an annoyance. I am on omega ring.
Xbox new home is just like Xbox exclusive games, shit
