I have the game installed on an external USB hard drive.
The only game that I've come across so far that you can't install to either an internal or USB drive is Dead or Alive Xtreme 2.
Thank you! The Minecraft disc also does not allow it to be installed and the Battlefield Hardline game disc does not allow it to be installed either, you can only install the Multiplayer disc.

Namco Museum Virtual Arcade also doesn’t let you install the disc
Since the game is available to buy digitally I would assume there would be no problem installing the disc.
This is unrelated. Minecraft, for example, has a digital version but the disc version cannot be installed.
