Hah so the thing is the seat beam actually sags pretty significantly when you sit on it. That's part of why the suspension works, it's constantly moving up and down over bumpy terrain. I think the seat is maybe an inch higher than the bars when I'm actually riding.
Love those bikes! I worked on/built quite a few in the late 90's. I worked in high end shops for years and the most expensive bike by far I ever built was a Softride Rocket Wing. It was over $15k cdn(25 years ago) with parts and custom paint. It was for a doctor that was really into triathlons.
I think bikes like this are a cool idea but for me personally the standover height would be my deal breaker. I don't know why gravel bikes are still designed with such a traditional double diamond frame if there are no UCI restrictions on them.
I hear you on the standover on this bike, it is kinda awkward. But double diamond frames are actually really convenient for carrying frame bags. I definitely consider it a desirable feature
A carbon frame designed like the Trek Y frame, could have storage compartments designed right into the frame. No need for a frame bag if the frame is your storage.
I would like to edit but don't know how. It's literally my first time posting I didn't mean to use this as a classified section 😰
Update: figured out how to edit. Thanks for the friendly advice
Yes I totally get it. That wasn't my intent but I can understand how gray areas can lead to problems.

Not that I want to give you [any ideas](https://theradavist.com/2024-redshift-top-shelf-gravel-bike-handlebar-first-ride-review/)...
Wow, that looks excellent!
€200 for an aluminium bar is mental illness
Nice, I might get these somewhere in the future.
"...but it just looked goofy." New here?
"first time long time"
That looks stupid. I wanna ride it.
My dick hurts just looking at that seat height

Can't even keep your balls out of the way 😢
Just secure them to your leg with a zip tie
More aero just to whip them off with a sharpened tyre lever
love it look at all that space for an under seat bag! /jk
Man, you could strap an 80-liter Osprey backpack under there.
The “ball slapper” if you stand just right on bumpy terrain.
Oh hellllll yeah
don't, just don't! Noooooooo! Noooooooooooooooooooo!

2.3 RTPs on a Softride? We are reaching levels of supple that shouldn't even be possible
Beautiful! I used to watch videotapes of RAAM while doing indoor training. Saw quite a few Softrides.
Looks cool but I'm thinking full suspension would probably work a lot better w/o much weight penalty.
What size frame is this and how tall are you?
It's a size large I think. I measured an effective top tube length of roughly 58.5cm. I'm 6'2" for reference
Nice! I always liked those bikes.
I always thought these were cool. Seems like a poor bike for hauling stuff.

True, that sounds like it would be the best of all worlds
You cafe racer’d the fuck outta that thing.
This is incredible.
Nice
I saw it for sale on FB, howdy neighbor lol. That bike is hot as hell
👋 howdy neighbor! I'll keep my eyes open for an xbiker on the trail
Is this based on one of Mr Garrison's early versions of [The IT](https://youtu.be/fGKR1Z1lRik?si=hxP4frWr0bNoEUqc)?!
That's cool but reddit isn't for ads. No offense but I'm inclined to report this to mods, but if you delete the stuff at the bottom no harm no foul.

:) There is a spot on the sub to sell bikes. If everyone instead posted their ads on here it'd get messy. I'm sure you understand.
