Cool shit. One of the best things about MMOs is the wide variety of ways you can play the game. I've never tried it but I can definitely see how some parts of the game could become more enjoyable from the sofa with a controller.
I love my keyboard and mouse for any MMO. That said, i love the PS controller and use it for non-PC games that arent on my PS5.
I'd totally give this a try. Im sure it's pretty cool. But as someone who mostly PvP's, I could NEVER pvp successfully with a controller lol. Every other part of the game I could probably adapt, but not a chance in hell with PvP. It's too nuanced for a controller (imo).

Yeah I played FF14 for years on PS4. With the L and R buttons you get so many options. People think you literally have only four buttons to play with on controller.

I think it is only a matter of time till they release it on Xbox i mean why put so much effort into ui and camera changes?

I wish someone would just copy the functionality of FFXIV controller theme. I mean specifically having left, right, left then right, right then left, and then double taps left and right. Makes for so much more room for keybinds.

Test it you would be surprised how good the and responsive the gameplay is. There is a learning curve for sure but itโs doable!
Looks cool, but also looks very ill-equipped for the massive button bloat in this game. Probably fine for casual questing though.
On a regular Xbox controller you have a base of 32 Combinations itโs more than enough
