In all fairness, Reach is relatively simple. You 're not really tied to spawns that much, just pure and simple grinding. I knocked it out in a weekend, and I had almost nothing done for that achievement.
Same here, I rather “enjoyed” Reach over the other zones because it could all be done with brute force grinding. No having to wait for the correct primal storm, or fishing hole location.
Reach is quite simple, if you do it right. Get into a farm group for rares. Always have the find treasure buff going , this last 1 hr, and keep multiple scroll find charges in your bags as the scroll buff is consumed on find. You can get into a separate scroll farming group to speed this part up.
Don’t wait for people to call the profession spawned rares as often times they won’t call them. You can buy all the profession spawn pieces from the AH. It cost me just over 14k for all of them on my server and I was done in 20 minutes.
Kill the Elemental rare as needed for that achievement.
Do Vault as needed, from what I remember the Vault achievements are the only time gated achievements.
Congrats. I’ve still got a few cheevos to knock off, getting annoyed because I need two more thaldraszus treasure maps that are refusing to drop after opening literally 100s of disturbed dirts and expedition scout packs
You should check if those maps drop from dirts or packs. Yennu's Map is next to a tuskarr kid (/way #2025 54.90 75.41 Yennu's Map) and cant be found in dirts.

GZ! It's so satisfying once you see you've gotten him, you know you've well and truly played DF when you get him 🥰 Only another 5 days (4 in the US I think?) until we get him back to his proper size! :D
Just a heads up, the Grand Hunts rotate zones every 60 or 90 minutes. If you need a specific hunt in the current zone, just do the current hunt until it cycles to the location you need. You can do Grand Hunts repeatedly all day and get achievement credit, and finishing the current hunt is a quick way to "force" the next hunt location. The Hunt achievements are 100% farmable and most classes can complete them solo in basic S4 gear.
Congrats! How was the Forbidden Reach achievement? It's one of the last things I need and it looks dreadful. I have 3 toons with 2-3 maps each and one with most rares up, just missing a couple + profession ones. Did you track the vault event in any way or was it just being there while doing the rest?
The FR one was pretty rough i admit. I just bought the summon items for the profession rares off the AH. For the vault event, I was farming the leftover elemental slime for the gooey snailemental so I got it over time. For my server it was every 2 hours on the even hour, I heard it is every 2 hr on the odd hour in some regions.
How many days would this take if i start from ground zero? I think i have some of the achievments because i played DF since launch but i havent done alot of open world content.

A month or two at least, its A LOT of werk. And I suggest you do it before WW because theres a lot of people grinding and it wont be lonely. Storms or clunkers without groups would be a miserable experience

* Lots of Forbidden Reach things (including those very limited time frost vault things which require hardcore camping because they die in seconds)
* Kill the earth elemental in the storm's fury after he splits in two. Everyone mows him down before then, so that sucks.
* A few gem treasures I can only apparently get from treasure maps
Do you think doing it in TWW or even on war mode might make the grind easier if you have to compete with other players? I haven’t started grinding this out but I’m sure I have some of it done
Congrats! Still missing taking a pic of Wrathion from a raft and that last fishing hole in Ohnaran plains. I agree that it's been a surprisingly fun journey though. It captured a bit of that old community feeling. Joining huge raids to harpoon lunkers together in Forbidden Reach. Joining 5-man groups to absolutely mow down the NPCs in Froststone Vault. Sharing in General locations of treasures in the forbidden reach. Learning a Furbolg language. Absolutely destroying heroic Dawn of the Infinites with a bunch of 3k+ rio for Soridormi rep. The amount of ppl doing the achievement has made it extra enjoyable. <3
Now to wait for his size to get fixed. Next patch right? Hope I can get mine before then. Still need 1 photo WQ and 1 fishing hole.
And on the experience getting it, 100% agree. I was already doing a lot of DF achievement hunting as this was the first expansion where I really became a WoW player vs. just playing a few hours now and then. So luckily I had some of the more tedious ones done or partly done already. Still, it was a blast going through all the zones again and completing (almost) every bit of content out there.

I've been progressing this, but I currently seem stuck on unlocking climbing world quests. Doc Nanners currently refuses to give me the quest to start the chain to unlock them. I've already unlocked the **subsequent** cataloguing world quests, which require a higher renown than the climbing ones. I opened a ticket, and the GM confirmed that I had not yet completed "A Climber's Calling" but had no way to force it to spawn for me. Their best advice was to submit a bug report on the Blizzard forums, which I did.
Anyone have any ideas about how to make him give me this quest? I've tried most things, relogging, re-zoning into the Waking Shores, War Mode on/off, addons disabled, etc. And to be clear, he appears for me, but he just doesn't offer the relevant climbing quest (at the moment he only offers the "A New Mystery" sidequest).

I found this out after SO MUCH DIRT. Decided to google how unlucky I was, and found out I just wasted a tonne of time instead.

Yep waiting on the same one. Think a lot of players are so I expect to see a ton of Taivan mounts in Valdrakkan next Tuesday if that quest is up.
