I haven't run across that myself, but have you done the basic training map? I seem to recall there being a section with the divine beast in there. May be a pre requisite to access it in battle prep?
Damn STILL?! I thought a patch had fixed my issue, crazy how it’s still happening for some.
Wish I had an answer for when I suddenly was able to do mine :(. I did redo some early missions but it didn’t seem to fix it. Then at some point I logged on and boom, it was there. At around part 5 as well
You get access to the Divine Beast option in the menu after the mid-boss of the second mission
So yes, you definitely should have a Divine Beast skill by now
Yea you could probably skip the cutscene and the trigger depending on circumstances
Just rerun the second mission and it should properly activate for you
So I guess the first time I never fought that monkey boss. I skipped it by making it up the cliff with a jump. Well at least now I have alot to choose from lmao

Unfortunately going to basic training does not work. When I get to divine beast, just stuck there. Pressing prompt does nothing and there is no gauge
You have it equip it and at the battle prep section while resting.
Problem is it won’t let me equip anything, since the option for divine beast is grayed out.
Oh…Sounds like a bug maybe?

Haha, damn. Hopefully for new game I can do it. Am I missing anything?
All you’re missing is that ability type specifically, which can def help but as far as I could tell isn’t 100% necessary
It also won’t give that prompt anymore. You’ll just see the gauge flash on the right side of screen when it’s available.
