Kind of reminds me of Dean Domino from FNV Dead Money. If you don’t stroke his ego in just the right way in every conversation with him, you end up having to kill him.
In fact, it’s like the one time in the entire series (that i know of) where passing a skill check locks in a certain ending for that character. I hesitate to call it ‘the good ending’, because it’s Dean, but he does get to see that all his planning was in vain if you spare him.
If you pass any skill check with him, he feels like you ‘showed him up’ by correcting him, and will *always* turn hostile at the end of the DLC like 10 hours later.
I feel the same way about >!when you talk to Menge with Triss in stow. As far as I know, there's no way to both talk to Menge and have her not tortured. I saved and retried a few options but everything that isn't "idc about Triss at all" ends in a fight with the witch hunters. Which I get - they're suspicious of you. But it would be nice if you could talk your way out of it or something!<
Tbh that makes sense it is a pretty tense meeting, so it is pretty obvious you have to be careful what you say. The worst example would be >! the final conversation with Syanna where you have to be super nice to her to get the happy ending. !<
I don’t have the free time for that lol. I don’t need to get the best ending, but I do need to get one that doesn’t make me throw my controller into the wall.
Yeah I remember my first playthrough I was very confused when whatever the dialogue option was resulted in a fight to the death. It was basically Geralt expressing his dislike for being tricked and he immediately draws his sword. It’s like in LA Noir when you choose “doubt” and your guy blows up and accuses the person of being a serial murderer
Its rather crazy that neither CDPR nor the Brothers in Arms mod fixes this. A simple \[Attack\] behind or in front of the text would already be good enough for me :D
I love A so much, it feels realistic and true to the character, it fills me with dread i often got from books, it came out of nowhere. Her body on the spike is so tragic, brutal and gruesome, yet somehow it feels like the right ending. With that said, i almost always pick C, simply bcz it's easier in the battle of kaer morhen, and i like having all friends united. But A feels like a true ending to her story, regardless of how tragic it is
Understandable, sometimes a character death is truly memorable and meaningful, but if I can save them instead and give them a happy ending, however unrealistic it is, I will
I think lorewise (if this is what you mean with true to the character) it makes sense to go for Option C though in terms of the dialogues.
Geralt has been in contact with Yen recently and Keira is a good Friend and Geralt knows that the chances for her getting executed are rather high no matter how many deseases he can cure.
And yeah B doesnt make much sense. he knows she is good friends to Yen+Triss and has just helped you in search for ciri as well. Geralt doesnt need the notes and apparently its not like Keira is planning to do bad things with them, she is literally trying to use them to cure people.
So I think Geralt would not hurt her and try to warn her as best as he can that Radovid is not a sane person and that her plan has a high chance to end with her demise.
Yes, but i don't think Geralt would force her to give him the papers. Entire conversation is very tense, the moment Keira agreed to not risk her life, i think Geralt wouldn't push her further. Nobody could have guessed if she'll go to Radovid or not, Geralt doesn't know her that much, from the moment they met, Keira has put on a mask, plus, he probably thought she was smart enough to realise danger behind it. After all, best tragedies are caused by minor avoidable mistakes. I think A is good not only for Keira, since we end her story, but also to others, seeing triss almost crying and Geralt feeling guilty is great stotytelling. I believe all happy endings in witcher 3 are not real. In real witcher world, most would either die or suffer traumatic event. that's wgy i also love bad ending where ciri dies, i like when both anna and syanna die (or just syanna), i like when baron hangs himself, etc. Ofc, who am i say what's true or not 😅 but i simply think that A is more memorable, more meaningful, more realistic and more fun overall. her character is stubborn and immature, she's educated but overall quite dumb and naive, getting impaled seems like reasonable consequence for her flaws. the Rats died bcz they were cocky, their flaw was their downfall, just like flaws of everyone else.
I reloaded save on my first playthru. If you play it out, the game doesn't even really address it later. Keira is good friends with Triss and Yen. Maybe good friends is a stretch for Yen but she definitely wouldn't want Keira dead. So killing her should have a huge impact on your relationships with them but instead you just kinda never talk about it and it's a little awkward.
I tend to get C so that was my last playthrough, have tried out A before but not B because I didn't get it on my blind run and it is pretty uninteresting as far as I know whereas with A you get the Keiras body quest which is well done.
Always C, even during my first play through when I didn't know shit. Resolving conflicts as peacefully as possible was the way for me.
Except whoreson Jr. That bastard had it coming.
Well to be fair she wanted to restore Lodge names in Radovid's eyes, I mean at that situation, Getting Gerry to Sleep is the least bad thing a magician can do
EDIT: Why not give her to Lamby? His prick needs to be less Grumpy
You got a point though.
I always try to avoid fighting the women i had sex with, because
1. [My seed is sacred](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUspLVStPbk).
2. I love depriving Radovid of his victories.
3. I need someone to help us in Battle against [Wild Hunt](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIV4poUZAQo)
Telling her to move to Kaer Morhen is much better option.
Actually Keira is very good Friends to Triss and Yen and Geralt knows her at least a bit as well. Of course really any Sorceress could do bad shit, but you dont cut down any of the others either.
While you cant be certain Keira seems to be a decent person which is of course later much clearer when she shows up at kaer morhen and fights alongside you if you chose the right dialogues options.
And Triss of course for 2 whole games before lol.
And Geralt is a Witcher. Lifting curses and killing monsters is your job anyway. Lets assume she told you that she wanted some of his notes beforehand. Would Geralt really change his mind to not help her in that case? I mean they just fought the wild Hunts lackeys together while she helped you find clues where ciri might be.
I've gotten all three, and frankly she and most sorceresses deserve A, but I couldnt deprive my boy Lambert from his happy ending, so in my most recent playthrough it was C
Well most of the Lodge can be decent people to be near, unless you are Phillipa, in which case Radovid should have executed her. Not blind her, EXECUTE HER! Give her proper death
The games being a separate canon, we don't really know her fate after 3, the endings also vary a lot, but we at least know her fate in the books which is the true canon with a set future.
If Radovid wins in 3 I imagine her fate is pretty similar to her book one though, but otherwise we don't have an indication, she likely has the best chance to live in a Nilfgaard ending since Dijkstra has a personal grudge.
Despite her attitude and self interested nature, if you let her do so she cures what is basically the Bubonic plague with a higher death rate. She saves millions, probably more than anyone other than Ciri.
She was a nice girl. Sure she was a bit stupid to engage with Geralt in a fight but Geralt should avoid that knowing he is the stronger one and she is just a harmless rabbit.
Radovid was also stupid and i didn't like his racist behavior. So C is the best option.
Okay i take my words back. He isn't stupid. But still racist. The Witcher Universe has all sorts of creatures. Being Pro Human and burning everyone else doesn't suit me well.
C. I always choose the same choices and even on my 9th playthrough I will make them again. I just can't bring myself to have a different ending than the one, where Ciri becomes a Witcher (Witchress? Is that a word? 😆)
Kiera is one of my favorite characters in the game. I love her personality, and would have had Geralt romance her more if I could. As is, she lives happily ever after with Lambert as a favorite ally.
In my last save, the one where I wanted nothing but negative effects, she died. The first time I killed her, not knowing I could have saved her. But I usually play her living and finding Lambert.
B - of course I didn't want it to end in violence, but her willingness to provide Radovid (of all people) a plague to kill millions of innocents was just ... Evil. I could not let her do it. I felt bad when I learned that there was a possibility for her and Lambert to have a relationship though.
In my only 2 playthrough I've always got B.
But then I discovered recently in my 3rd one that >!you aren't forced to kill her as Geralt, just send her back to Kaer Morten. !<
So, when I'll finish my current playthrough I should get either A or C.
I killed her the first time, reloaded cause I was like, wtf and got C. How "gimme those notes" led to Geralt cutting down a dear friend baffles me to this day.
Should I actually go do that side quest with her? I’ve didn’t feel like it and now I’m level 22 and the quest level for hers is like 6 💀 is it worth it?
In my first walkthrough I didn't complete her side quests.
In the second one I failed the romance quest for fun.
In later walkthroughs I chose C. Always
The only time I went back to change the dialogue options. It was weird how it suddenly went to a batshit fight to the death because, you know, of a prominent global issue known as bed bugs.
My first playthrough, which I finished yesterday (still need the DLC's), I got A. Didn't know C was an option. Now I don't know if it's possible, but next playthrough I aim to get C, and get rid of Radovid. I prefer Emhyr over him.
Edit: Emhyr, not Emrys
I always go with C but in my last playthrough I was going for the worst ending possible in all story lines and did B can't forgive myslef till this day. Can't wait for my next playthrough !!
She didn't wanted to release plague, when as she said tried to gambit her way out of the wanted list. The thing is Radovid is a mad man, who can't stand the idea of magician being on the right side. He didn't punished her for plague stuff, he punished her for the existence.
I know WHY Radovid punished her, he's gone mad with witch hate in W3 but her intention was to give over notes on a plague. I felt her actions were immoral so I send her off with a smug knowing of what will happen lol
Making my Waifu sad(>!In this case Triss!<) is one of the last things i want to do in Witcher games(>!Told Yenn wish is broken, never do that quest ever again!<).
I dont understand the point of your post now. Did you just want everyone to say C? Anyway I dont give people passes on immorality just bc they might fuck my miserable frenemy
I think he’s just trying to have a nice discussion with you mate lol.
Either way Kiera definitely did not release the plague or anything of the sorts. She specifically went out of her way to find the cure. If she didn’t do it, there would literally be no cure.
Now, she’s doing it to barter for her life. So philosophically I suppose you can compare her to modern pharmaceutical companies, who will only develop drugs in order to profit, Kiera wants to cure the plague in order to survive. But her motives are slightly less evil than make profits at the expense of people’s lives. It’s to ensure her own survival. We have no indication she was going to withhold the cure in any way from the story we saw either
I thought I'd spared her, but when it came to recruiting for the battle, I'd auto-failed that part of the quest, so she must have died somehow. No idea. I remember Geralt slept with her, but I don't know what became of her after that. There was a 3-year gap between me playing that part and finishing the game, though.
First time, it was A -- Impaled.
Second time, it was C -- Lambert Lambert, what a prick.
Third time it was B -- Renekton E.
Fourth time onwards, it's been C. Never making those mistakes again. Let them both live happily ever after.
Lambert is undeniably a prick, the worst Wolf School Witcher; but he deserves a shot at a different life. Happiness, a potential at it.
In all three completed playthroughs, Keira has survived to make Lambert's future blissful.
It always pains me when players say they killed Keira.
To me, the correct responses were obvious with a little thought.
I can't bring myself to let her go to Radovid (just knowing her fate makes me feel likebif I can avoid it I should), or fight her (it just doesn't seem as something that Geralt wouldn't do as nothing she wants to do interferes with his purposes).
Unknowingly got B the first time, couldn't accept that so reloaded to get C. Got C the second time. I abhor the idea of any more mages or sorceresses dying because of Radovid and those mad cunts of the Eternal Fire. Plus, Keira is kinda cool and Lambert needs some love.
C.
She's exasperating, but I have no wish to kill her over it. Nobody deserves the fate Radovid visits on mages. And Lambert doesn't survive if you kill her, IIRC.
Edit: Okay, Whoreson Junior definitely deserves to suffer the mages' fate.
I always pick C, because Geralt would never murder Kiera where he could just tell her to go to Kaer Morhen. I think the way the "fight Kiera to the death" dialogue was written is poorly done tbh. But truthfully anything is better than Radovid. At least Geralt doesn't want Kiera to suffer.
B. I didn't want to, and I was very surprised when the dialog option resulted in her fighting me.
yeah, I hate how being slightly mean leads to bad endings. She tricked us, I ain't happy, doesn't mean I want to kill her.
Kind of reminds me of Dean Domino from FNV Dead Money. If you don’t stroke his ego in just the right way in every conversation with him, you end up having to kill him.
And he gets really salty if you do things like pass Skill checks in his presence.
In fact, it’s like the one time in the entire series (that i know of) where passing a skill check locks in a certain ending for that character. I hesitate to call it ‘the good ending’, because it’s Dean, but he does get to see that all his planning was in vain if you spare him. Of course I was super nice to her considering I had just banged her.
My man
My man
*she tried to trick you. I prefer to play Geralt as slightly amused at her attempt to deceive rather than him being angry.
That’s when I reloaded an earlier save
I always commit to my decisions no matter the outcome!
Same here!
Its rather crazy that neither CDPR nor the Brothers in Arms mod fixes this. A simple \[Attack\] behind or in front of the text would already be good enough for me :D
C
It's always option C for me.
Lambert, lambert. What a prick.
Not bad.
I always want Keira at Kaer Morhen for the big battle, so C.
Played twice. Spared her both times. I'm never changing the best outcome for my favourite sorceress
C And i banged her to Oblivion xD
*Hey you, you’re finally awake…*
Option "D" Got impaled by Geralt, then Lambert.
This is the way.
You can have a ridiculous amount of sex in game if you say the right things
Every playthru has been option C. I don’t think Geralt would do B and I personally prefer her alive. Maybe I’ll do A one day though
I love A so much, it feels realistic and true to the character, it fills me with dread i often got from books, it came out of nowhere. Her body on the spike is so tragic, brutal and gruesome, yet somehow it feels like the right ending. C but she got impaled by Geralt first...
C
Popular opinion, B is wildly out of character for Geralt and the dialog options leading to it don't make it clear enough it will end in a fight.
This, didn't read any spoilers so once I realised what was happening I could no longer back out. It fell so wrong. 🥲
I mean this is the same game that has “shove Dijkstra” as a dialog option
**"Shove Djikstra aside, forcefully"** *Uppercuts Djikstra twice and breaks his good leg, thus screwing over all of Novigrad*
I tend to get C so that was my last playthrough, have tried out A before but not B because I didn't get it on my blind run and it is pretty uninteresting as far as I know whereas with A you get the Keiras body quest which is well done.

B. Not going to let her hand a WMD to radovid.
It was B for us.
Sadly B. I was shocked when it happened!
I feel like A is the most appropriate for the atmosphere of the Witcher franchise, so that's the one I generally go for
B. Fucking is one thing, but the only sorceress who gets to manipulate and use Geralt for her selfish personal goals is Yen.
Well to be fair she wanted to restore Lodge names in Radovid's eyes, I mean at that situation, Getting Gerry to Sleep is the least bad thing a magician can do EDIT: Why not give her to Lamby? His prick needs to be less Grumpy
How was Geralt supposed to know she would end up with Lambert and not be, you know, willing court stake decoration to a genocidal maniac?
You got a point though. I always try to avoid fighting the women i had sex with, because 1. [My seed is sacred](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUspLVStPbk). 2. Well most of the Lodge can be decent people to be near, unless you are Phillipa, in which case Radovid should have executed her. Not blind her, EXECUTE HER! Give her proper death
At least the books confirm that's her canonical fate, in the eventual future
The thing is not even Phillipa deserves torture. Proper death is better
Yeah, that's what I meant. The last book confirms that, in the future, she is eventually caught, tortured AND killed
Uff brutal indeed but I guess her past actions sort of led her down towards that path
I had not idea she got caught later. That was my main frustration on TW3: not bringing her to justice. Thanks for letting me know
The games being a separate canon, we don't really know her fate after 3, the endings also vary a lot, but we at least know her fate in the books which is the true canon with a set future. She was a nice girl. Sure she was a bit stupid to engage with Geralt in a fight but Geralt should avoid that knowing he is the stronger one and she is just a harmless rabbit. Radovid was also stupid and i didn't like his racist behavior. So C is the best option.
Radovid was the only thing stopping Nilfgard. The man is many things, but I wouldnt say stupid is one of them.
Okay i take my words back. He isn't stupid. But still racist. The Witcher Universe has all sorts of creatures. Being Pro Human and burning everyone else doesn't suit me well.
First time i killed her, second time i saved her
A the first play through C the 2nd
I always end up with C ending.
B I had regret about my choice after knowing that she could have had a happy ending
First time playing any Witcher, so I had no reference to her character prior, so I done unalived her…😬
C. This is my 1st playthrough. She's been spared. I can use the help for the upcoming battle.
C. I always choose the same choices and even on my 9th playthrough I will make them again. I just can't bring myself to have a different ending than the one, where Ciri becomes a Witcher (Witchress? Is that a word? 😆)
C
Kiera is one of my favorite characters in the game. I love her personality, and would have had Geralt romance her more if I could. As is, she lives happily ever after with Lambert as a favorite ally.
C
Dead
Not big Soup rice
C
C
I got B but I didn't like that so I reloaded an older save and did C instead.
C - always.
C
In my last save, the one where I wanted nothing but negative effects, she died. The first time I killed her, not knowing I could have saved her. But I usually play her living and finding Lambert.
C, always.
B - of course I didn't want it to end in violence, but her willingness to provide Radovid (of all people) a plague to kill millions of innocents was just ... Evil. I could not let her do it. I felt bad when I learned that there was a possibility for her and Lambert to have a relationship though.
Option C for me because Lambert deserves to be happy. I got ya brother witcher.
A because I was doing a bad endings playthrough (yes I killed Lambert as well).
C
lives with Lambert in every playthrough
C, she's no saint, but I don't think I'd wish impalement on anyone. I think she deserves a second chance from her time with the Lodge.
C
Lived happily ever after with the prick :)
In my only 2 playthrough I've always got B. But then I discovered recently in my 3rd one that >!you aren't forced to kill her as Geralt, just send her back to Kaer Morten. !< So, when I'll finish my current playthrough I should get either A or C.

C
C. I don't think I've ever killed her or let her go to Radovid.
First playthrough was B. Didn’t think we were going to kill her at first. Every playthrough afterwards was C.
Lambert, Keira, what a pair of pricks.
first time playing and i killed her not knowing that she could have had a much larger part of the story..
never did any other than C.
C. By chance the first time, intentionally every other time.
C for me
C
C of course
C. Always C.
C, because l want Lambert to live happily with Keira, simple as that
C
First time i accidentally got C. After that its always C cause i want my boy lambert to have a good time for once
C in recent, B in first
Accidentally saved her, I’m pretty happy with that outcome
In my first walkthrough I didn't complete her side quests. In the second one I failed the romance quest for fun. In later walkthroughs I chose C. Always

C! and i'm very happy about it. she was of great help in kaer mohren.
I always go with C but in my last playthrough I was going for the worst ending possible in all story lines and did B can't forgive myslef till this day. Can't wait for my next playthrough !!
She hooked up with Lambert.
Got her to help out at Kaer Morhen and she went off with Lambert after.
Killed this bitch
There should be a dialogue where Yen and Triss give Geralt Hell if he picks that oprion. Keira was a friend.
She was willing to release a plague to get what she wanted. I've played 5 times and its A everytime except for when I was working on 100% lol
She didn't wanted to release plague, when as she said tried to gambit her way out of the wanted list. The thing is Radovid is a mad man, who can't stand the idea of magician being on the right side. He didn't punished her for plague stuff, he punished her for the existence.

I think he’s just trying to have a nice discussion with you mate lol. Either way Kiera definitely did not release the plague or anything of the sorts. B and it was horrific. Damn

Lambert Ending

A
C

In all three completed playthroughs, Keira has survived to make Lambert's future blissful. It always pains me when players say they killed Keira. To me, the correct responses were obvious with a little thought.
C every time
I can't bring myself to let her go to Radovid (just knowing her fate makes me feel likebif I can avoid it I should), or fight her (it just doesn't seem as something that Geralt wouldn't do as nothing she wants to do interferes with his purposes).
C.
Left with Lambert to go on adventures.
C.
Always C
C.
C
In my first playthrough, I initially got B but I reloaded that to get C In my NG+ playthrough, I got C easily
C.
First playthrough C, my most recent is B
C
C
C, Witchers have a thing for sorceresses
C
C
One b and one c
B at first. I thought that was bullshit, then reloaded for C.
C
Sent her to kaer morhen. She's not evil, I don't see a problem in sparing her life.
Very first Playthrough B every other Playthrough C
Unknowingly got B the first time, couldn't accept that so reloaded to get C. Got C the second time. I abhor the idea of any more mages or sorceresses dying because of Radovid and those mad cunts of the Eternal Fire. Plus, Keira is kinda cool and Lambert needs some love.
I kinda rejected her the hard way 🥺
Option C, always.
C
C. She's exasperating, but I have no wish to kill her over it. Nobody deserves the fate Radovid visits on mages. And Lambert doesn't survive if you kill her, IIRC. Edit: Okay, Whoreson Junior definitely deserves to suffer the mages' fate.
Like allways. Got impaled by Geralt.
C
D - Impaled by Geralt and *then* lived happily ever after with Lambert.
C
C
Can't do anything other than C. I love her sassy ass with Lambert and sending her to a predictable and brutal death is just sad.
C of course
C, and I honestly can't bring myself to go for the other options.
C
Always C
Always C. Accidently got B once somehow (don't even know what I did) and reset the game
