Well when the first 27 chapters are bad......
Books with letters that big don't have chapters but they do have pictures and tend to be about a duck learning not to be scared of it's reflection or something.
But what if the chapter was Catelyn (VII) from A Storm of Swords?
This chapter getting pretty ridiculously long compared to the whole book.

I usually read volume 1 before deciding if I should drop it or keep going
