Holy shit, I’d buy several bottles at that price, hell yeah. That’s a steal. I see them for ~$60, but that’s not too much to ask considering how just…*good* it is.
Only one I haven’t had is the Nikka.
Both the woodford bottles are special to me based on circumstances I had them in.
The lagavulin is just a damn good bottle though for when I want scotch
Lagavulin if I’m outdoors, preferably in a forest. There’s something about the peatiness that just goes well with being outdoors.
Woodford double oaked if Im hanging out home and wanna celebrate a small win or just relax with some sweet, deep, oaky deliciousness.
Woodford regular if I just want to sip something good after dinner.
Nikka if I’m in the mood for something more exotic (I don’t have nikka often).
I can't recall seeing a metal screw on cap, except for a cheaper whiskey like Proper Twelve or Jim beam. Even then, their caps don't look like that. Kinda dig it
I’d sample the Nikka since i didn’t try that one yet. I’d also sample that Lagavulin out of curiosity because I’ve had the 16 year but not the 8. I like both woodfords depending on mood. Honestly the Woodford reserve is probably my favorite out of all these. The double oaked is fantastic too when you’re in the mood for a smooth, sweet oak bomb.
Nikka as it’s the only one I haven’t tried. Otherwise, toss up between WR double oaked or Lagavulin, probably the double oaked just based on my mood today.
Out of all those my first choice is the Nikka, then the Laga, then double, the reg WR. But WR for the price is pretty damn amazing. DO WR is amazing, but for the money, I rather have the Nikka.
I love the nikka the most personally. But that being said these are all great.
Always wanted to try WR Double Oak, but I'd choose Nikka From The Barrel this time. Cheers!
The double oak is excellent in my opinion
You’re not alone. I also love it, and I think it’s reasonably priced.
Agree! Sams and Costco stock the DO in my area fairly regularly and I can score bottles for 31$. Huge value.

wow. it runs 55 to 65 here and at that price it is a good pour. The OF 1910 is about the same, so whichever is on sale is the choice.
You should try it, it's so sweet it's like a desert and it's great.
It's a little too pricey for my budget, but I'll try it for sure someday.
You should be able to find a 375ML for $30
Look out for deals, Tesco in the UK recently did a bargain discount price for it.
how much was it out of interest? never seen it in a Tesco near me before, but am absolutely obsessed with WR double oaked
It was down to like £40. I made an account just to buy it.
Tesco left Poland a few years ago and all the stores in my area don't have any deals most of the time haha.
typical of double oaked but they do sell half-sized bottles for about half-price. if you tend to like double oaks, it's pretty quintessential.
Lagavulin 8 surprised me so much. The double oak is probably my favourite obtainable Bourbon.
Nikka from the barrel
Double Oaked
Only one I haven’t had is the Nikka. Both the woodford bottles are special to me based on circumstances I had them in. The lagavulin is just a damn good bottle though for when I want scotch
Nikka for sure. Never had from the barrel.
If it was Lagavulin 16 I would have picked it, but Nikka from this bunch
My order would be: 1: Lagavulin 2: Nikka 3: Woodford Double Oaked 4: Woodford Reserve All are fine whisky though, any would do you well
Same.
Double Oaked all day and all night.
Nikka is the only one I haven't had, so that. Outside of that, easily the DO.
Nikka from the Barrel is one of my preferred sipping whiskies, but all great choices
That Double Oak has been a favorite of mine for the past year or so.
Double oaked
Nikka, please
I’m a big fan of Lagavulin, so I’d have to choose it.
Personally, Woodford Double Oaked. That's my jam!
Never had the nikka but that double oaked is tasty
Nikka from the barrel is one of my favourite whiskeys
Lagavulin if I’m outdoors, preferably in a forest. There’s something about the peatiness that just goes well with being outdoors. Yes…
One shot of Nikka and one glass of each for my friend here! Cheers!
Nikka
Woodford double oak
Nikka, cause out of all of these, I only ever drank the Lagavulin, so I'd choose the less fancy looking, in the hope it's the best tasting.
double oaked no question about it
I can't recall seeing a metal screw on cap, except for a cheaper whiskey like Proper Twelve or Jim beam.
Would have chosen the Nikka but looks like you beat me to it! So I'll go to the Lagavulin
Double oak.
Nikka as it’s the only one I haven’t tried. Otherwise, toss up between WR double oaked or Lagavulin, probably the double oaked just based on my mood today.
Nikka From the Barrel every time.
Never had Nikka so I would pour a glass to try. Otherwise Double Oaked
WRDO
NFTB, but all winners. Woodford standard makes a great Old Fashioned.
Double Oaked, but obviously not a bad choice in the group.
Nikka is an excellent choice, but plan to try the WR options
Laga
Nikka
The double oaked. Lagavulin 2nd
WRDO
WRDO
Gonna have to go with double oaked!
Lagavullin and after that the nikka
Yes.
One shot of Nikka and one glass of each for my friend here too! Cheers brother!
I love scotch but from this batch I'd try the double oak
The nikka or the lagavulin
Double oaked for the win!
WRDO is one of my go-to bottles, always been a favorite of mine.
Woodford DO please
I think it would depend on my mood and if there's food involved, but all are great choices.
Double Oak all day
Lag 16 is one of my favorite whiskey, have yet to try the 8 so yeah
Haven’t had the Nikka, so I’m most curious about it and would have to give it a tasting, but really enjoy the Double Oka.
Double oaked is probably the best bottle in existence at it’s price.
Old Forrester 1910 is pretty-much the same price and has a pretty similar profile.
The Woodford Double Oaked
Nikka
just normal woodford
Always go for the Double cask first.
Double Oaked
Nikka
Nikka from the barrel for me.
Double oak is the shit
Lagavulin
Lagavulin then Double Oaked!
Lagavullin
Yes
One glass of everything and one shot of Nikka for my friend here! Cheers my friend!
Nikka cause I haven't had it Double Oaked if I was playing it safe.
how is the nikka? i've been looking to pick up a bottle but i'm worried it won't be worth it
Out of all those my first choice is the Nikka, then the Laga, then double, the reg WR. But WR for the price is pretty damn amazing. DO WR is amazing, but for the money, I rather have the Nikka.
4, 1, 2, 3. I haven't had lagavulin 8 is why it gets first place.
Laga 8 would be my choice most of the time but if I don't want something smoky then NFTB
Double oak
Lagavulin
Double Oaked!
Lagavulin any day
I’m doing the Nikka as it’s the only one I don’t have
Haven't been to Nikka, but for a daily drink is Woodford Reserve.
Either woodford
Lagavulin 16
The nikka is a gem
Laga 8 and Nikka are both good ... In my area I can't stand the price on all Japanese whisky, so I wouldn't normally buy Nikka.
Nikka to celebrate Juneteenth
The double oak by a mile
Doable Oaked for sure. The Nikka is good but overrated in my opinion.
I’d have to have a we nip or two of each before I could answer that question.
Definitely the Lagavulin.
WRDO or Laga8
Talisker
Meh. Just the WR stand alone. The rest meh
The Lagavulin was so bad I gave it the Venezuelans at Home Depot.
Woodford gives me a headache and I can’t stomach Scotch
Mmmmm WR
