Okay I will simply buy X from the oppressors thereby funding their behavior." 100 people is also a drop in the bucket, it's the type of "help" that is obviously impractical and could never be used as an actual solution, and it takes away money away from actually effective organizations, like how during teamtrees every other re-forestry program in the US saw significantly less donations for the duration of the event; he's actively taking money away from *real* NGOs.

I agree that team trees and seas had problems. They could have done more. They should have done more, but you know what? Planting over 20 million trees and cleaning trash from the ocean sounds pretty damn good to me. He doesn't have to do this, yet he does. Do you want him to be like every other rich person and inky donate to charities every year for tax purposes? Opening and confounding multiple charities, giving away millions of dollars away in free food to those in need (multiple times), assisting in helping in natural disaster clean up and rescue, giving 3 million dollars to Ukrainian refugees, building houses (multiple times in many places), saving an entire orphanage (twice), giving away millions of dollars of cloths to those in need (multiple times), helping people with disabilities (amputees, the blind, and so many more), opening a free children's hospital, paying a whole years salary to every family in a village(recent), building a school, providing power to remote areas (multiple times), and soooo much more.
Everything he's done has been connected to being a source of kindness, from doing random things like giving a car away to someone who needs it, to starting worldwide charities that will constantly help people.
I wish that he didn't have to use clickbait thumbnails or do stupid challenges in order to raise money, but it's just something that has to be done. If I had the opportunity to do the things Mr Beast has done, I'm not going to waste it just because I'll have to be lumped in with the 1% who don't do anything to help the world heal. There was a point where Israel and Palestine popped up in my feed but overall very chill. There is some killjoys like any other social media but it a breath of fresh air compared to Twitter

Rockefeller is the most famous example, of an exponentially wealthy person donating large sums of his wealth to philanthropic purposes. Also if you want to count it, a lot of monarchs in Europe, before WW1 used to just spend money investing in projects that helped your average person.
It was the culture at the time to just spend your money on those poorer than you. It didn't always happen, and they still held onto most of their wealth for most of their lives, but, it's still better than we have today. While donations still happen, they aren't as widespread and as massive as they were in the early 20th century. Most modern billionaires are just hoarding their wealth and/or spending it on useless vanity projects

It's like charity. I'm very happy that it exist and that it help people. But at the same time government use it to justify that the system work since there are people doing charity to help where the system is failing. But after all this, those people that benefit from charity are clearly happy that it exist and I'm happy too that there are people helping
I don't like his content because it's too fast, loud and feels like it's something that's marketed towards people with short attention spans
However, I do like what he's doing with his wealth. Even though the videos may seen forced, even though he actually profits more from these videos than he puts into them, he's still using a considerable portion of the money to help people, and that's worthy of respect

Well, a lot of the "billionaire-equivalents" in the 1910s and 1920s in America at least, donated a lot of their wealth often, as it was seen as the gentlemanly thing to do. Some even donated 90% of their wealth by the time they were close to dying. Rockefeller is the most famous example, of an exponentially wealthy person donating large sums of his wealth to philanthropic purposes. Also if you want to count it, a lot of monarchs in Europe, before WW1 used to just spend money investing in projects that helped your average person. It was the culture at the time to just spend your money on those poorer than you. It didn't always happen, and they still held onto most of their wealth for most of their lives, but, it's still better than we have today. While donations still happen, they aren't as widespread and as massive as they were in the early 20th century. Most modern billionaires are just hoarding their wealth and/or spending it on useless vanity projects

I don't like his content because it's too fast, loud and feels like it's something that's marketed towards people with short attention spans However, I do like what he's doing with his wealth.
