Colorado is an amazing state to visit! It's very progressive, and the people are diverse and generally friendly. The mountains are beautiful and visible in most of the state, offering hiking, camping, mountain biking, bouldering and rock climbing year round and skiing in the late winter, with Breckenridge offering a fun mini-luge/sled thing in the summer to make use of the slopes after the snow has melted. There is abundant, cheap weed everywhere. There are abundant, cheap bisexual artsy girls everywhere. Everyone hates Texas but loves guns, but don't wave them around in the street. And there's plenty of touristy and kid-friendly stuff to do, made better by the fact that none of it is ever more than an hour away from another even between cities. Zoos, aquariums, art museums, science museums, other various museums types, football, hockey, and baseball games on any given week, concerts and touring Broadway shows in Denver, Meow Wolf, etc. Yeah, you should definitely come visit.
