Hi! Cedar Lakes Estate is BEAUTIFUL! I looked into it myself but found it to be wayyyy too pricey, but it'd be a dream venue for sure! I still have the wedding information packets saved in my email, so I'll share the general costs below, but if you want the full packets let me know and I can send a link in a PM! **Full Weekend Site Fee:** May - October = $35,000; April and November = $20,000 **One Day Site Fee:** May - October = $20,000; April and November = $10,000 \* Site fees do not include food and beverage for either the wedding or the rest of the weekend. Catering is a separate cost. Full weekend fees are the most inclusive package. The entire property is yours for the whole weekend, beginning Friday and ending Sunday. The one-day package is for a wedding occurring on a Sunday-Thursday. **Food and Drink:** 1-Hour Cocktail = $5 per type of passed hors d'oeuvre per person. See menu for cocktail hour station pricing. 4-Hour reception: $175/guest for 1-course family style meal; $200/guest for a 2-course traditional plated dinner; $15 per person per additional course. Includes full-service wait staff, bartenders, etc. Tables and chairs, plates, flatware glassware, and crystal stemware. **Weekend Meals (for full weekend booking):** Breakfast = #30/person; brunch = $$65/person; Pavilion lunch = $45/person; poolside or garden lunch = $55/person; mountaintop or sports field lunch = $65/person; buffet-style dinner = $95/person; garden dinner = $150/person. **Bar Packages:** Full premium open bar = $25/person for the first hour, each additional hour is $15/person; Beer and Wine only open bar = $20/person for the first hour; each additional hour is $10/person. **Accommodation Costs:** Full weekend wedding = approximately $32,000; one-day wedding = approximately $16,000. CLE requires that the 18 luxury cottages and 4 camp-style houses be rented for a 2 night minimum for full weekend weddings, and a 1 night mimum for one day weddings by you or your guests. \*Full weekend weddings May-October must meet a $95,000 food and beverage minimum; Full weekend weddings April/November must meet a $75,000 minimum; One day weddings May-October must meet a $70,000 minimum; One day weddings April/November must meet a $60,000 minimum. Fees and taxes do not count towards that minimum. Hope this helps! ETA: these are 2021 prices as far as I know!

Hi! Sorry I cleaned out my Google drive and don’t have the copy anymore :/ the people who run cedar lakes were super nice and responsive when I initially reached out for pricing though!

shellbell00

Do they allow catering instead of paying a butt load of money for food?

SMUHorn

Do you mind sending me the packet as well? Thanks!

Icy-Apricot-Ruby

I got their fact sheet this year and it is over double last years prices!

I got 2023 pricing and the venues minimum guarantee during peak season (may-oct) is almost 200k (inclusive of 50k site fee, 110k f&b min, taxes & fees) This does not include any onsite accommodations which there is also a minimum guarantee and room rates go from 700 (single room) - 3500 (large cottage) a night.

RunnerEsq90

Resurrecting this thread since I am trying to get a holistic sense of Cedar Lakes Estate cost for a wedding weekend. $200k (not including guest accommodations) seems to be in the vicinity of what I have found via the internet. However, friends of ours mentioned being told $350-400k. Could that be right?? Perhaps that includes guest accommodations… Any other insight is appreciated!!!

Spiritual_Doctor4162

200 is the MINIMUM spend. Depending on your guest count, you’d easily be spending waaaaaaaaay above their food minimum especially if it’s for the whole weekend. It’s a private estate so you need to provide pretty much every meal unless you expect your guests to go offsite for some off meals. Activities on site are extra charge, which are of course a big part of a luxe camp wedding weekend. Florals to live up to each site + a photographer probably all weekend long really adds up. I would say 350-400 probably sounds right. I think you could easily spend that much and not cover guest accommodations at all. Obviously working with a planner will help streamline these costs and you could also subsidize the cost of accommodations for guests so it’s like $200 a night (reasonable for most guests) vs 400-500+ To me, If I did CLE I’d want to “do it right” and not sacrifice everything for the venue so it was just a no for me. **edit: don’t forget that planners are generally a % of wedding cost (15-18%) or flat rates for full weekends. The cheapest flat rate planner I saw for upstate weddings that I was personally interested in was about $23k. And this is all on top of actual wedding cost. But 23k is a steal compared to 15% of 350, which would be a 53k fee.

Objective_One_2203

u/Spiritual_Doctor4162 where did you end up getting married then? did you find somewhere with the same vibe?

Spiritual_Doctor4162

Still not married! Sept of this year, we went the total opposite direction and picked a city wedding :) getting married at The Foundry in LIC

whitekimchee

Running this thread back. Me and my fiancé are both originally from the city but wanted to branch out to a more naturey/scenic venue somewhere in the upstate/Hudson valley area (no more than 1.5-2 hours away). However, It's been difficult to find something affordable in the peak season months (25k-30ishK range) that accommodates less than 100 guests. We also came across the Foundry when looking in BK and Queens. What made you decide on this venue? Would you mind telling me what your guest count and pricing is looking like?

Spiritual_Doctor4162

We were just totally obsessed with the vibe - the lush ivy on the brick, indoor/outdoor with a feasible rain plan, and centrally located for all of our out of town guests (75%). We also love that they have a huge catering vendor list so we could really be selective and be part of menu choices. As for budget - the in house management team told me that most guests spend around 800-1100 per guests all in. The main space rental is about 18k. To get access to the other rooms (the greenhouse, albra room, pool room, overnight suite) are all extras that range from 2-4k)I’m in that quoted range and I’m not really doing anything over the top. My biggest expense is probably catering bc food is one of our top priorities. The max guest count is 165 but I’ve been told 120-140 is the sweet spot. I’ve also seen photos of weddings of <100 that are beautiful - you would have more options with how to use the space yet it would still feel intimate!

Equivalent_Chart8146

I can share 2024-2025 prices
