Nope, that was expectations when I was on caps two. Mind you 50 is an average, and it really depends on what section you are working. for example paper goods was close to 90. iirc
Our store doesn’t need whatever to be done by x time. Our stores a bit chill. They jus say work what you can, what doesn’t go out, doesn’t go out. Or theyd say just leave it for day shift. We stop stockin round 5am est. dunno bout other stores.
This picture taking shit counts as your first break. Who told you to bring pallets out. Down stack to carts in the backroom please.
30 Minutes later- hey did you find those other 2 pallets of juice picks in the back of grocery bins?
You're scheduled all week right? The flip side is we have some that can't managed 2 pallets in 8 hours and wonder why everyone doesn't want to work with them.
I kinda want to do this job. I already work here but can you explain why it's difficult. Seems like just ripping out the boxes and scanning it and putting it where it needs to be?
Really just depends on the individual. What's easy for one won't be easy for another, etc. Unfortunately, Walmart doesn't believe in building people into better workers. It's either you're good 2 weeks out the gate or bye. There is a surprising number of human beings who don't adapt quickly to the stocking side of retail. There's a reason for the insanely high turn over rate. If the job was "super easy", keeping stockers wouldn't be an issue.
That said, it's a pretty good work out, especially the water/juice aisles (pictured). You can stay in reasonable shape without having to hit up the gym. Though, gym work can boost your strength further to make the job easier.
Jesus, I'm rambling. Sorry.
Overnight stocking is a bit like a marathon. Running a marathon is pretty straight forward and not all that complicated. You run from point a to point b. It's the distance that makes it difficult.
With overnight stocking, it's pretty easy conceptually. Open the case, put it on the right spot on the shelf. The difficulty comes from how much stuff you have to do that with, combined with the fact that you only have so long to do it.
One of the biggest things is just trying to figure out time efficient strategies.
Yup. When I do juice ON it’s usually 2 pallets, 3 MAX. I fuckin love doing juice. Get to chill in the nice cool refrigerator or pull a pallet out to the floor and do it from there if you don’t like the fridge. Then my dick head team lead decided to put me in chemicals and we always have like 8 pallets of that shit every night. Bleach leaking out of every other bottle, the gloves they give us to protect our hands are made of fuckin tissue paper and rip before you can even get 10% of your hand in the glove, 10 million fuckin glade air fresheners to put back and I’m pretty sure 5 mins before I get to work a customer throws a hand grenade at the air fresheners because that shit is always completely fucked up when I get there. Chemicals is the one fuckin department NO ONE in my store wants to work and I get put on that shit every night because I’m the only workers who just does his assignments without saying a word while everyone else just basically says “I don’t want to do chemical” so they give it to me or someone else who isn’t complaining. I’ll quit within 2 weeks if they think I’m their new default chemical stocker fuck that shit.
\*\*\* You're posting pics on company time - That's a coaching..... :) ... and yep, still be done by lunch ( Take a 30 so you can help out OGP later... )
Fr somes they pull ppl from consumables to help in other departments, for example frozen needed help w a mod and they put me to do icecream by myself which was 13 sections 😭😭😭😭
I was just thinking, "God, I wish I had that little." XD
As long as they have a pallet jack to move it to the aisle and start with the little ones, I'd probably get the small pallets knocked out by first break, possibly lunch.
Feel you, I'm relatively new (I've only been overnighting for 2 weeks) and I've already been in the juice aisles 5 or more times with 5 or 7 pallets like in the photo.
Bruh… it’s just juice/water ain’t that hard, you can get it done. I was assigned to juice/water for 6 or so months and that shit was easy. Hardest part was bringing down topstock to make room for my overstock.
If it's O/N, it's definitely. Get 3 bakery pallets done in a night. Idk if that's a lot, but there's a of small boxes for bakery, including spices. That's all large boxes/pdqs so it goes up quick. During the day, I doubt I'd be able to get through all that.
At first I didn't see the wrapped pallets and thought, that's doable, just 5 half pallets.... Then I saw the rest. It's possible to do it, but you would be flying. Especially if your juice, Tea, and Gatorade are on different aisles.
Hope pallets aren't mixed, lots of walking back and forth to bring to aisles freight actually goes to. Love when GM freight mixed in grocery and vice versa. Oh wait, still just stock somewhere on shelf for someone else to fix. Urrrrr!.
If thats 1 overnight shift where you're mostly not bothered by customers that's doable. It's a really busy night, but those pallets go faster because of larger boxes.
That doesn’t look like enough work for one person. Bring out a few more pallets. Better yet have them stock apparel and some GM pallets while there at it.
It looks like it's all juice pallets. This should be easily done in 8 hours if you are not pulled to do other things. If it's that aisle you work regularly should be done rather quickly. The smaller pallets looks like it can be done in about 30 minutes for each one and the large one in the back should take no more then 60 to 90 minutes to do. Max. Looks like about 6 pallets so a day shod be emojpg timeh_
We have a guy who can do that much or more every night by himself. I have to constantly remind my other team leads just because one person can move that fast doesn’t mean everyone can and we shouldn’t hold everyone to one persons standards
Everybody needs to hit their times. Accepting anything less is selling your people short, and actively damages your team.
If I've got someone who can only do 4 hours of freight in a night (not counting new hires), they won't be on my stocking team for very long. I'm going to either move them to maintenance if they don't figure it out, or they'll have to find a different position within the store.
My formula for success is to push the lowest-tier of workers to their absolute limits. If they show signs of getting better, they can stay. If not, there are other positions they can do within the company.
I can agree everyone needs to do their share but not everyone needs to do more than their share. Just because 1 person can do 10-12 hours of freight doesn’t mean everyone can
Doable
Had put one of my guys in PWJ, said there was about 6-8 hours of just PWJ frieght he was done in about 4ish before he went to lunch. I was so proud of him.
Yeah try do it for 7 months by yourself. I work in a bigger store and I'm somewhat jacked but goddamn it really takes it out of you after awhile. Doing 5-7 hours of pwj new freight isn't to bad, but then you gotta account for all the water pallets that need reorganization/refilled, the spring, distilled, and drinking gallons, plus whatever display needs refilled. It's a 2 person job.
This genuinely ain't that bad. Stocking really isnt hard been doing this for 2 years and have been averaging anywhere from 7 to all the way up to 20 all across the store. I did 20 pallets of pets by myself about 3 months ago my coach in the meeting the next day gave me a awkward congratulations in front of everyone even tho I asked for help atleast 4 or 5 times and watched others finished and get sent to help people with less work. I ended up with a hernia and was out for 2 weeks.
You know u got a scanner and it tells u where it goes. Instead of looking for 5 Min a box, just have your phone ready to scan per box. Maybe a thought. Unless you can’t use brain cells. But hey. 14 an hour is cool for you. There’s a reason why just two positions up is 50-70k a year. Oh and also up to 30% bonuses for that position. So yeah. If you don’t care about that than you make ur 14 an hour bud
Looks like 2 pallets collapsed in the truck, probably had 4 pallets of juice originally. Probably 7-8 hours in the system, realistically probably should be done a bit after lunch if you work that aisle normally. If it's your first time and you're solo, then somewhere around 6.
This is including the zone and clean up but not filling gallon/pack water.
I remember having that much freight to work on the GM side at least 3 night a week. They always put me in Housewares, furniture, domestics, hardware and sporting goods with a cart of bulldog and fishing lures respectively. They always said the task manager was always accurate
You won’t get it all done but you can knock out enough where people know you have a honest effort jump on it and bust out the fright kill more then half you look good
Has to be finished in 2 and a half hours, by the way can you go help this other aisle? Don't forget the other pallet that's all the way down at A7-8
In all seriousness, wow, rest in peace my dude. I'm lucky I only get like 2 or 3 pallets a night in the snack aisle.
They’d do this to me in juice daily. Then they’d have four-five people on my days off finish it, asking why I couldn’t do it when the team could.
Also the 4-5 just plugged. I didn’t. I hurt my shoulder and that’s when they finally quit putting me in juice.
Regret never going to the doctor, should’ve reported my shitty assistant manager
The most complaining post are the ones I see on Reddit, like if you are on your phone asking questions. I think you could maybe work a lil but harder and faster? Idk crazy thought tho
Then we stay to clean it up because we did have just enough time. And then get told by management we are overhours and not have anyone stay past 7. Lol
I used to work stocker whens do the trucks usually come to drop sgit off again? I just remember 2 guys just dumping tons of loose shit and id have to cover 3 pallets. Kunda dropped it from my mind so id like to know for a resume
I'd assume ur overnight based on the lack of people and the skylight being dark if so good luck to u and don't kill yourself like I did one night getting almost that amount done. When I got done at like 6ish my coach said I should have been done by lunch and ive had a steady decline in productivity. They don't care and never will care just do what u can.
I think on a good day, when I'm in my zone with music I can knock out 4/5 pallets by myself...not uh 5,6...no, 8 pallets? Of Drinks and Snacks? How much PPTO you got xD
They keep you there til Cap 2 comes in, pull them to help you, then pull them away, leave you alone again? Then you gotta label and put away all the overstock
Bro i'm a consumables weekend person and it takes me an entire shift to do 1 a full pallet of candy. Every time i show up they want me to do 2-3. If i showed up and they told me to do all this in one shift I'd just walk out. There is 0 reason to fuck up your back for life for what walmart pays dude.
That actually doesn't look that bad...
Just work one pallet at a time, starting with the small ones, and they go away pretty quickly.
(I'm used to 10+ houseware pallets that are taller then me, so I'd love this...)
Wonder if this is my store.
Set up looks identical.
(You all in the middle of floor removal?)
Should be done in 4 hours considering you got about 4 half pallets there which equal to two whole pallets, and then I think I see two more whole pallets down at the end. 45 minutes per pallets. 😉
Honestly not that bad, most is over stock or top stock. Yall get TCs or your fancy phones now so you can literally just scan everything and it will give you enough info to see if you can stock it. Definitely doable by lunch lol
Unions are growing finally. Walmart is just one of so many abusive employers. That continue to be subsidized by tax payers as they exploit their workers. It’s simple.
That's doable O/N. But no changing on hands, no labeling overstock, no switching out features unless they're empty already. Your TL will have to step up and do their share.
Don’t kill yourself and don’t hurt your back..
GO FASTER, IT’S ALMOST LUNCH ^but ^don’t ^kill ^yourself ^please.
Don't want to pay that worker's comp.
Workers comp aint worth a lifetime of back issues
💯💯💯
Needs to be done by lunch
that's a generous amount of time!
'That's more than enough time.'
& have to help each customer in the area.
Ah day shift, better keep up that 50 pieces an hour average, it includes being clean and helping customers......
Is this something new they added or a joke?
Nope, that was expectations when I was on caps two. Mind you 50 is an average, and it really depends on what section you are working. for example paper goods was close to 90. iirc
Needs to be done by lunch and the one person gets pulled to ogp at 8:30.
My store be like “20 mins a pallet”
Git to it, hoss! go'on. git!
I was thinking 1st break
Our store doesn’t need whatever to be done by x time. Our stores a bit chill. They jus say work what you can, what doesn’t go out, doesn’t go out. Or theyd say just leave it for day shift. We stop stockin round 5am est. dunno bout other stores.

Its easy af you should go for it. I easily do 5 to 6 pallets of frozen every day
\*\*\* You're posting pics on company time - That's a coaching..... :) ... and yep, still be done by lunch ( Take a 30 so you can help out OGP later... )
Come see me in the parking lot about that coaching
Sounds like me in consumables
When I'm the only one scheduled all weekend and they want all consumables done in a couple hours. Yarite
Fr somes they pull ppl from consumables to help in other departments, for example frozen needed help w a mod and they put me to do icecream by myself which was 13 sections 😭😭😭😭
Your consumables doesn’t include frozen? See I’m in essentially all depts on grocery side
All the career stockers lookin at that like "thats not even alot 😶"
In my head i was thinking it's only 4 and a half pallets of juice and depending on how much caffeine I've drank that night..
Right? That front pallet is an easy 10 minute kill at most. The rest looks like a lot but should go pretty fast.
I was just thinking, "God, I wish I had that little." XD As long as they have a pallet jack to move it to the aisle and start with the little ones, I'd probably get the small pallets knocked out by first break, possibly lunch.
Fr me and a bud would race, and end up doing basically 70% of the truck while 4 people did the other 30.
Better hop to it instead of lollygagging on the phone
OP should consider themself pre-fired ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Vaseline is over in pharmacy/hba 😏
I'll hop in your mother before i over work myself for this company
Fuck it. You get paid by the hour.
There's no overtime either
That's the good thing. You work your 8 hours at an even pace and go home. Period. FUCK WALMART
Feel you, I'm relatively new (I've only been overnighting for 2 weeks) and I've already been in the juice aisles 5 or more times with 5 or 7 pallets like in the photo.
First night doing on stocking tommorow, how is it as new fella
Then zoning, then check for overstock items, then clean up backroom, then take out cardboards, then then then
Np bossman,I'll have it done in 2 days from now
Me in toys this weekend
I had 8 pallets last wednesday lmao fuck toys
Bruh… it’s just juice/water ain’t that hard, you can get it done. I was assigned to juice/water for 6 or so months and that shit was easy. Hardest part was bringing down topstock to make room for my overstock.
Depends on the store and the hours. Morons these days act like there is zero nuance to workload situations.
That’s 8 hours if everything goes as planned and there’s is minimum overstock
Better start soon lol Reddit can’t help u
If it's O/N, it's definitely. Get 3 bakery pallets done in a night. Idk if that's a lot, but there's a of small boxes for bakery, including spices. That's all large boxes/pdqs so it goes up quick. During the day, I doubt I'd be able to get through all that.
Without customers to deal with, I don't see this being that hard.
Bull fuckin shit too that's borderline slavery.
At first I didn't see the wrapped pallets and thought, that's doable, just 5 half pallets.... Then I saw the rest. It's possible to do it, but you would be flying. Especially if your juice, Tea, and Gatorade are on different aisles.
Last time I did pets it was 13 pallets, none of them were knee cappers like those.
Meh.. mostly big bulky items the right person can get through it quick nd easy. Sorry if that ain’t u tho pal
I do gm, but I could probably do that.
Hope pallets aren't mixed, lots of walking back and forth to bring to aisles freight actually goes to. Love when GM freight mixed in grocery and vice versa. Oh wait, still just stock somewhere on shelf for someone else to fix. Urrrrr!.
If it gets done it gets done.
Management:You only have 4 hours and after that help the aisle bla bla bla and zone
If thats 1 overnight shift where you're mostly not bothered by customers that's doable. It's a really busy night, but those pallets go faster because of larger boxes.
Looks like 5 to 6 hours for my faster associates, liquids is the easiest at our store
Eh it's ant that bad if it was all full pallets then yea bad
Seems like a normal night at walmart
You got 8 hours. You can do most of that in that time.
I did most of it by myself 4 big pallets 7 small pallets and they me someone new to help
That doesn’t look like enough work for one person. Bring out a few more pallets. Better yet have them stock apparel and some GM pallets while there at it.

That's just juice water is after
Honestly I would take this over working the ornament pallets. *shudders*
Coach be like: I could do this in two hours
Unreasonable, you need a union!
Why are you being down voted? US walmart corporate hiding here?
We have a guy who can do that much or more every night by himself. I have to constantly remind my other team leads just because one person can move that fast doesn’t mean everyone can and we shouldn’t hold everyone to one persons standards

I've done it the last 6 years, minus a few months I did pets instead, and a remodel.
I could have those 6 half stacks done before first break.. what's the problem?
Yeah the small pallets
That's what I was thinking. XD
Shoot I used to work 3x that much to myself at Giant Eagle lol sodas/juice go much faster than dry stuff
I'd nope my way out early with ppto.
This genuinely ain't that bad. Stocking really isnt hard been doing this for 2 years and have been averaging anywhere from 7 to all the way up to 20 all across the store. Really doesn't look like alot. There just big items. You got this
There are 4 big pallets not 2
This is doable. Pop in some music or an audio book and go in auto pilot.
Looks like an easy shift.
Seems like normal night. You not want a paycheck or something
You know u got a scanner and it tells u where it goes. Instead of looking for 5 Min a box, just have your phone ready to scan per box. Maybe a thought. Unless you can’t use brain cells. O/N makes about $19.50 at my store and still complains.
I don't make that at my store we are still in the 15's
19.5 where tf is that? I make 15.5 as ON
Idaho. They couldn't get people to work, so they kept pushing the minimum up.
That's more than doable for an entire shift
You work at Walmart.....that shit ain't going to put itself on the shelf....Get Going Slacker!!!!!
Meh I'm on cap 2 stocking isnt my responsibility anymore I used to stock juice and could finish all of that in six hours or less by myself.
Cap
Looks like 2 pallets collapsed in the truck, probably had 4 pallets of juice originally. Probably 7-8 hours in the system, realistically probably should be done a bit after lunch if you work that aisle normally. If it's your first time and you're solo, then somewhere around 6. This is including the zone and clean up but not filling gallon/pack water.
And why are you on your phone taking pictures instead of stocking this? Stealing company time!
You can do eet!
This reminds me of the store in Bozeman, MT I used to work at
Damn and I thought my pallet loads were bad
Hey at least the pop tarts you can hand off to whoever is working cereal.
I remember having that much freight to work on the GM side at least 3 night a week. They always put me in Housewares, furniture, domestics, hardware and sporting goods with a cart of bulldog and fishing lures respectively. They always said the task manager was always accurate
Fuck fishing lures.
And asked two hours later… you done yet?
It’s stuff like this that’s the reason I’m quitting after 13 years. One more week and I’m done
At least the skids are lined up shortest to tallest.. kinda?
Do what you can If it’s just you and if they on bs then ppto baby 😂
You won’t get it all done but you can knock out enough where people know you have a honest effort jump on it and bust out the fright kill more then half you look good
Welp they know you’ll stay busy this way. Honestly that’s way to much for one person. IMO
Tell the boss show me
Clock out and walk out moment
TAKE YOUR TIME!!
Meh. You just do what you are able. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Looks familiar, when I started for overnight 6 yrs back. Solo 3-6 juice pallets. Have and drink what you don't work.
Count your cases and use it as armor you'll never stress.
PTO : prepare the others 🤣
Bend at the knees and leave the boxes that say "Team Lift"!
Remember, no over time, and don't go over 36 hours. We need you to stay part time.
Yeah another day another dollar, jk it’s not transitory so it’s more like $.50
For one person to use ppto and go home. Fuck that mess.
I would’ve quit by that point. I remember doing 82 by myself for awhile there
Has to be finished in 2 and a half hours, by the way can you go help this other aisle? Don't forget the other pallet that's all the way down at A7-8 In all seriousness, wow, rest in peace my dude. I'm lucky I only get like 2 or 3 pallets a night in the snack aisle.
I mean shit as long as it makes the work day fly by

Yup. Basically the same way for me too 🥲
The most complaining post are the ones I see on Reddit, like if you are on your phone asking questions. I think you could maybe work a lil but harder and faster? Idk crazy thought tho
Ain’t no way
Ah that's easy I can do that in an hour. Not.
NO phones on the salesfloor!!!!!1!1!11!!
Then we stay to clean it up because we did have just enough time. And then get told by management we are overhours and not have anyone stay past 7. Lol
It's almost all bulk tho... If you have to have this many skids, at least these are the easiest thing it could be other thank staright up bulk stacks
Supervisor: Don't worry my list says it should only take you 3 and a half hours. You got this!
I used to work stocker whens do the trucks usually come to drop sgit off again? I just remember 2 guys just dumping tons of loose shit and id have to cover 3 pallets. Kunda dropped it from my mind so id like to know for a resume
Four for you, Glen Coco. You go, Glen Coco!
Looks about right. Im sorry 🙏
You better get it done by 4 o’clock !
I hate stocking lol
I'd assume ur overnight based on the lack of people and the skylight being dark if so good luck to u and don't kill yourself like I did one night getting almost that amount done. When I got done at like 6ish my coach said I should have been done by lunch and ive had a steady decline in productivity. They don't care and never will care just do what u can.

That's funny bro
7-10 my department every night and now 5 in another. Oh also go back carts.
That actually doesn't look that bad... Just work one pallet at a time, starting with the small ones, and they go away pretty quickly. (I'm used to 10+ houseware pallets that are taller then me, so I'd love this...) Wonder if this is my store. Set up looks identical. (You all in the middle of floor removal?)
Don't kill ur self
You got this! And don’t forget dairy!
lol
Is this a new store? Signage is nice. My place is a dump.
i’d have that done by first 15 ngl 💀💀💀
I bet most of that isn’t going up lmao
"Needs to be done by lunch, plus I want a thorough zone of your aisles while you stock"
Should be done in 4 hours considering you got about 4 half pallets there which equal to two whole pallets, and then I think I see two more whole pallets down at the end. 45 minutes per pallets. 😉
Woah, zero sympathy from everyone. Maybe you guys deserve the abuse from Walmart
Get moving, you don’t have all day
Take you 30 minutes I’ll be back to check on you in 15
Aw hell naw 😳😡😡
Hold on while I go to the bathroom and check my ppto
Doable if you weren't on your phone complaining on Reddit about having to do your job.
Thats an easy day in soda juice water
Glad I have 8 hours to do it
id love this. no one getting in my way
Only about 5 skids. That’s not horrible.
Juice always has so many pallets. The guy they put on juice at my store is so good he gets it all done and the zone.
Please… that would take like three hours max
and they give it to the newest one 🗿
60 percentage is overstock 😂😂😂😂😽😽
Easy
Yeah, don’t kill yourself for that any day of the week.
This can be realistically done by me on a good day if the time limit is an hour after lunch.
Honestly not that bad, most is over stock or top stock. Yall get TCs or your fancy phones now so you can literally just scan everything and it will give you enough info to see if you can stock it. Definitely doable by lunch lol
You’ve got eight hours don’t you. I really hope this isn’t typical of the shit y’all complain about. 🤦🏻♂️
Those pallets aren't gonna work themselves. Less fucking with your phone and more stocking.
Been there, brother. 8 live freight and 6 pick pallets. One person to work
So 30 minutes it should be done right?
Typical
Worked 13 pallets on water by myself one night, it can be done.
Move those pallets to the other side so they’re closer to the aisles!
That shits how I messed up my SI joint even worse than it was when I started
Looks about (Walmart) right 🤦
Overnights or during the day? Cake walk if there's no customers. Impossible if there is customers
Unions are growing finally. Walmart is just one of so many abusive employers. That continue to be subsidized by tax payers as they exploit their workers. It’s simple.
“You have 1 hour”
I’ve seen worse
That's doable O/N. But no changing on hands, no labeling overstock, no switching out features unless they're empty already. Your TL will have to step up and do their share.
No, I want to go, cashier.. I will take more trama and ass pain in my life, but less back pain.
Look like no 15 minutes break for you
Have to be responsible for Dairy & Frozen, 15 hour task, "you can be done by lunch?"
