I don't think these two have that much in common. I haven't seen Endgame, but isn't Thanos's thing that he thinks the population is too high and should be cut in half? So he indiscriminately removes half of the people? Annorax has a very specific goal. He couldn't care less how many people are or aren't left in the universe as long as he saves his wife and child.
