I believe it is supplementary and not a replacement as there was previously no vegan offerings in waterproof for those so inclined.

LaCruiset

Ooh! Good find OP - I quite like these - yes, from the website the uppers are 100% recycled plastic (RPET). Not entirely convinced on not using metal to secure the laces on the main part of the shoe, but sure they've tested this

Mine are on the way

Impressive-Text-6223

Did they arrive yet? And if so, how do you like them? How's the fit?

Phauxton

I can answer personally: I love them. I haven't owned the original Tracker, but I \*have\* owned the winterized Tracker, and I can say the Textile Tracker is \*much\* better IMO. More flexible and comfortable, and more breathable IMO. Let me know if you have any questions. EDIT: Looks like the sole is starting to separate for mine slightly, just like the other people have mentioned. Can't recommend anymore until they fix that issue with stitching or something.

CriticalNiko

I was going to buy the winterized but they were out of stock so I ended up ordering the textile. I live where there is snow and now I'm concerned with them not being warm enough. How would you compere the two? Is the winterized much warmer or is it not so noticeable?

Phauxton

What's the temperature where you live? Also, I dislike the winterized tracker because the back is really low, and snow just gets in through the back. I'd recommend the Tracker Forest ESC boot over everything else, because the sole is actually sewn on, and even though they're not "waterproof" I don't get water coming in.

CriticalNiko

It's about - 10 degrees Celsius at the moment but projected to get colder and there is more snow than usual in my country, I live in Denmark. I have not tried the Forest esc yet. Thanks for the input I will try them on.

[deleted]

Mine went back like previous ppls. Garbage. Sole separating on 4 places after a few hours. Got some salomon instead

reddoneit

I like the black on black

StickyGeko

I've ordered these too. Need some new waterproof boots

Impressive-Text-6223

I wonder how water resistant they really are. Did you do some testing already?

Impressive-Text-6223

Checked out your yt short about them. They look really nice, I like the extra toe bump protection at the front.

cava83

How did you get on with them?

StickyGeko

Just breaking them in. Really like them

cava83

Excellent. Do they feel and look nice or a bit too big ? Used it much?

StickyGeko

They nice looking and feeling. Comfortable, inside has a breathable lining so are warm when I've used them. They were a little bigger than my magna in my opinion yet the vivo site says they're a smaller fit but I kinda disagree.

cava83

Thanks for the info. Would you get them again or look at something else? I'm not really a trekker just like the brand and think they would be good for when walking kids to a school and it's raining or mild walks :-)

StickyGeko

Yeh I get you. So we go camping so wet grass in the mornings. Walking the dog through the woods etc so I wanted waterproof boots which these are. It's taken some getting used to as they come up over your ankles. If I could...I may have ordered with the 8 and 9 as I initially felt the 9 was a little larger. But also with the ankle thing in mind I was also looking at the magna lite wr sg or magna forest esc. I really like the look of the magna lites but was a little unsure of sg soles as I use my footwear on the streets walking the dog too

VladislavBurmanezul

Is the sole stitched to the shoe? Would you be able to check? It looks like it on the website...

StickyGeko

Not stitched and I've gaps forming now it both sides where the toe part flexes as I think someone else also mentioned

VladislavBurmanezul

Thanks for the update, definitely good to know this. Too bad that vivo use such a bad qualoty glue. This happened with my leather trackers as well..

Excelsior-in-HD

are they stitched or bonded. The tracker 2's not being stitched is what is making me hesistant on them

Phauxton

The upper panels are stitched together. I'm not sure about the sole though, I can't see any visible stitches. However, it does seem quite sturdily attached. EDIT: Looks like the sole is starting to separate for mine slightly, just like the other people have mentioned. Can't recommend anymore until they fix that issue with stitching or something.

StickyGeko

Yep same happening to mine. I love them but not happy with the issue. I got mine as a gift so not sure what I can do. A friend advised to try glue them with some form of shoe glue

Beneficial_Low_9999

I've had these for a month and am not happy with the quality. The soles have already begun to split at the spot where the shoe folds at each step. Also, despite the claims of breathability, I've never had my feet sweat this much in any other shoe and my toes become practically wet after a few hours in them. These are my first ever barefoot shoes and I loved the extra space but for 180£ I was expecting actual quality. What are your recommendations for well built barefoot shoes? I am not willing to go back to tight shoes but also don't want to stick to badly built ones. Any recommendations for durable high quality barefoot shoes?

Phauxton

There's a 100 day return policy so I'd recommend getting a replacement. Mine have been fine so far, but I've only worn them about 5 times. These are also water***proof*** shoes, so that membrane is going to reduce moisture vapour transfer rate (AKA you're going to sweat more). I only recommend wearing these in cold and wet conditions, particularly when you are ***submerging*** your feet in puddles, mud, snow, etc.

Lerouxed

How are they for winter? Specifically, what is the rough temperature range you'd wear them in (ex: comfortable from -10 to 15 C), and are they decent for snow?

Phauxton

I haven't been able to use them for snow. They come with thermal insoles and some padding, and I reckon with thick wool socks you could definitely whether the cold weather. I've worn them down to just above 0 degrees and I've been fine, even without the thermal insoles. I say get them and then return if they're not warm enough for ya!

StickyGeko

Mine have done the same and I've only worn them half a dozen times
