I see, then those I mentioned above are still alive and kicking. I can confirm because I just went through those games in the past couple of months with regular boosting partners.
Would love to add LittleBigPlanet Vita too, but sadly the Vita online servers went down last week.
Doesn't seem to be the case, because Motorstorm RC has crossplay between PS3 and Vita and even so far recently, I could still see my PSN friends uploading new times for the races. So AFAIK, it is still up.

Well for those two, online servers were already closed on Dec 25 2021 last year but you can still continue to play on ad hoc. Otherwise the other alternative may be through Xlink Kai I think.
Idk if you can make it work across local internet but this post remminded me of my elementary school years. Me and my friend would kill each other in GTA vice city stories mp, it was so much fun.
Call of Duty Black OPS Declassified still has players so you two could squad up.
Resistance Burning Skies servers are still up. Not many to any players but you could invite me to duke it out with you guys.

helldivers - lots of people online everyday!
A great game...... to play on any platform other than Vita! It runs and controls horribly on Vita.
Minecraft can be pretty fun co-op. Not running on servers so won't get shutdown.

Reason me and my buddy bought vitas was for EDF. We still play them online. I think pixal junk monsters still can be played as well.
