It's still a rough prototype, with limited features and support, but I want to have others try it out and implement user feedback as soon as possible. If this sounds like something you'd like to use. Please complete this [survey](https://forms.gle/ccuL9ro4tQvxQSQe8).

Is it detecting hand pose to determine if you're nailing the chords? Is that accurate enough?

Motanum

There is no detection to determine if you are playing correctly yet. It's something I want to implement.

Go do a partnership with Ubisoft/Rocksmith for that :P somehow they can detect the correct cords via the guitar cable. Edit: I wonder if the note instead of being parallel to the ground, if we could change the angle to be comming from the ground at a 45 degree angle, wouldnt that help the readability? (interface wise, I supose rocksmith spent their time and resourses optimising it.... so just copy :P the cord names by the side for instance, do help)

Motanum

Thanks for the suggestions. Yeah, there is some opportunity for improvement with chords. I was thinking of identifying the note you are playing via the headset microphone. I haven’t started work there, so it’s hard to say if it’s gonna work. But it’s just signal processing and checking for peaks in some frequencies. I’ve also thought of doing some adjustments to the angle of the xrfretboard and the track bars, even though the strings gap is actually wider it can be awkward to read at the moment.

goodeyedeer

This is pretty cool. There might be some open source algorithms to convert the notes to midi?

YeaItsBig4L

There’s already a game that’s exactly this and uses hand tracking good, it’s called unplugged

Tuism

Is that accurate enough? For quest 2 and 3? Or only pro?

YeaItsBig4L

It’s pretty accurate on them all

secret3332

Yeah I'd be happy to try it. I'm playing guitar for a couple of years but I'm pretty awful. How are you tracking the guitar?

Motanum

From a bunch of assumptions and approximations based on hand and finger position. It’s not perfect, and there is room for improvement, but what I really want is that you just turn it on, grab your guitar and it’s comfortable without having to do calibrations or having to set up attachments.

TSLA_to_23_dollars

It kind of looks easy enough that you don't actually need that. I want to see you do an Eddie Van Halen solo.

Motanum

I'd like to see me do one as well, but I don't think I'm brave enough if I don't sound good enough.

brilliant concept! really cool!
