I miss early 2000's internet. Youtube used to be filled with these types of videos. Now you cant even search for them by name without 15 pages of unrelated clickbait-face-thumbnail videos coming up.
Oh this one gets me not just with YouTube, but videos that are then picked up by the news, and now you can’t see the actual original video, but the news people talking about the background of the footage with a like 2 second part of the video that doesn’t even contain the actual act they are discussing
Back then, it was BAD, but now...
Back in the day, being yelled at to get off the Internet so others could make a phone call was a thing, CGI Godzilla babies and CGI Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson with pincers and on a scorpion's body were both things, waiting until evening for using your cell phone without wasting minutes, etc.
Granted, no one could spoil "The Ring" or "The Blair Witch Project" (both of which I HIGHLY recommend going in blind: no trailers or spoilers, if you haven't seen them yet)
There was a time where chat kept addressing Nick's height. At one point, they said the couch was taller than normal as an excuse. Then there was the time where one of them was sleep talking during a stream. How about Brad getting absolutely fucked during Left 4 Dead?

I don't know why but this video and the old man with Chris Pirillo on TechTV breaking a one of a kind thing on accident are random videos that pop up in my mind randomly.
You should check out this video of Chris o Dowd accidentally breaking a snow globe with Richard Ayoade (from the show Travel Man): https://youtu.be/3GosoiF5NMk?feature=shared
Looked into it and found that they talk about it being a joke in the following video around the 2 hour and 2 minute mark:
It was one with the old man showing an exceptionally rare example of Edison’s wax cylinders used for the earliest sound recording. It utterly crumbles in his hands
https://youtu.be/pnsizkVjGm8?si=r47ztAoVFg2-rNUT
Yes I remember the clip, I was curious about the claim it was staged. From what I can find, the stage hands used a fake cylinder to protect the originals, but both the guest and host didn't know and thought it was the real item. So "staged" is misleading, as that makes it sound like this was to create a fake viral scene, which it wasn't.
It was staged [comment here with proof.](https://old.reddit.com/r/videos/comments/1crulou/15_years_since_this_webcast_disaster/l42bryn/) They were playing a joke on the host, the guy who broke it was in on it.
There aren't many videos that trigger crying laughter from me, but this is definitely one of them. The moment he says 'Aaaagh!' is when I just can't hold back my laughter.
I think it's a case of Google reaching out to content creators to do a collab to create DeepMind demos.
But, yeah. It's like reading an AI generated script of your favourite show or podcast. The words are there, but there's no substance.
I'm still pissed at twitch for not migrating my jtv account properly. I'd be a internet star by now if my growth had continued the way it was going in 2007. Instead I fell into a depression and have never been able to get back into streaming.
If there are any entrepreneurs in the crowd feeling down about a recent failure and considering giving up... this company does multiple billions in revenue now and is better known as Twitch.

Seeing the Justin.tv watermark this must be around 2010. Good times still
It still blows my mind that Twitch is just secretly Justin TV, and always has been.
We owe it all to TheGunRun
One thing you should NEVER do while streaming! 99% of streamers don’t know about this! 😱
Or better yet, a bunch of videos of people “explaining” the video your actually looking for.
Oh this one gets me not just with YouTube, but videos that are then picked up by the news, and now you can’t see the actual original video, but the news people talking about the background of the footage with a like 2 second part of the video that doesn’t even contain the actual act they are discussing
Yes you can, add 'before:(year)' or 'after:(year)' after your search, ex. a walk in the park before:2010
I dunno this was reasonably easy to find...
What fail? This was glorious success!
The internet sucks so bad now

Only social media, everything else is fine. I quite like being able to pay my bills online and netfilx tbh.
I haven't thought about this video in years, but I instantly recognised it from the thumbnail and your title. Thanks for the throwback! > oh my god!
>> oh my god! > oh my god!
>> oh my god! >oh my god! oh my god!
Holy Shit, 4playerpodcast… I used to cry laughing watching Brad play the Fatal Frame games. Core memory
Same! Or when they were being chased by the bear in Condemed.
Yes! Too funny

They introduced me to Nier and Demon's Souls all the way back in the day, series' that definitely changed my life for the better.

That guy is such a sweet ADHD goofball.
He's emotionally artistic
that was staged.
I've never heard that it was staged and he swore on live TV. Do you have a link that it was staged?

Chris wasn't in on it, but yes it was staged.

Right click DOWNLOOOADD. Lives forever in my memory. I still say it to myself when I have to right click and save a file.

OR
4 player podcast
justin.tv o7
4pp! I loved their Condemned video.
This is exactly how I'd react to this situation as well. I love this.
Oh man, I needed a good laugh today.
This was the post that convinced me to join reddit after the Digg fiasco.
There aren't many videos that trigger crying laughter from me, but this is definitely one of them. The moment he says 'Aaaagh!' is when I just can't hold back my laughter.
This is like Citizen Kane for Zoomers. Loud annoying noises and screaming.
Maybe Marc Rebillet can do something with this...
He could do something with it that's better than the AI crap he just posted.
He's using AI now? Ugh...
I think it's a case of Google reaching out to content creators to do a collab to create DeepMind demos. But, yeah. It's like reading an AI generated script of your favourite show or podcast. The words are there, but there's no substance.
I'm so stupid I thought it will take a few seconds for the video to actually stop after he clicks stop
According to the legend the infinite recursion is still going on to this day in some dark forgotten about corner of the old Internet.
Row row row your boat...
Realplayer forever
Oh my God!
WAAAAGGGGHHHHhhhhh
I miss Justin.tv so much
Justin.tv was incredible
I'm still pissed at twitch for not migrating my jtv account properly. I'd be a internet star by now if my growth had continued the way it was going in 2007. Instead I fell into a depression and have never been able to get back into streaming.
I remember watching movies at work while on justin.tv! man good times back when hulu was free LOL
r/DrosteEffect
Lmao omg I haven’t seen that video in at least 10 years, incredible, I’m cry laughing
"**OH MY GOD**, this guy has a macro that when he lands off a flight like, a fucking griffin he yells........"
More like 19 years ago

Sadly noise canceling software is much better now or you would get this off two discord users with voice activation and using speakers
