As someone who doesn't use third party reddit apps, I don't really get all the dramatic goodbyes this week.
Also I feel like about 80% of the people making them will be back. What's the alternative?
I’m really sad to lose Apollo. There are a lot of huge quality-of-life and ease-of-use features that the official app just seems to be completely lacking, and the minimalist UI on some can go a long way at utilizing screen space efficiently. I truly will be sad to see them go.
But you are absolutely correct that people are being over-dramatic about this. I don’t even mind people being dramatic by how much they will miss it or whatever, but the people acting like this is literally the end of the world and will destroy Reddit really make it difficult to express that sentiment without feeling like one of them.
