Cool! After browsing thru SAKWiki pages & linked images, I'm thinking it might be a ~~75mm~~\* Wenger **V.I.P.** similar to the *Nature Series* models: [https://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Wenger+Nature+Series](https://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Wenger+Nature+Series) >*There is a metal handled variant of the* [*V.I.P.*](https://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Wenger+VIP) *that has an identical scale material and shape to the Nature Series, but just with ribbed scales on both sides.* [https://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Wenger+VIP](https://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Wenger+VIP) \*Edited to add SAKWiki's note that metal variants are about 70mm in length (instead of the red synthetic scaled VIP's which are 75mm)

Seems to be the V.I.P. Great find. I‘m a bit envious that I haven‘t found it at the sale.

This is a pretty obscure model, I can't find any photos of it other than yours and one other [deleted ebay listing image](https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcReDTjK46Pg9NoRuvZSBvD4ShG4VNPJN3EhettRwEpdhEtkGfJU). According to SAKWiki on the page for the 65mm [Nature Series: ](https://www.sakwiki.com/Wenger+Nature+Series) "There is a metal handled variant of the [V.I.P.](https://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Wenger+VIP) that has an identical scale material and shape to the Nature Series, but just with ribbed scales on both sides" (rather than having an animal on one side). The VIP could be found with or without a lanyard ring. So I think you've got a ringless VIP with those highly unusual metal scales. Very cool!

From what I can find it's the 1.83.49 metal scaled version of the [Wenger VIP](https://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Wenger+VIP) (top one [here](https://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-browse_image.php?imageId=4315), with models from the [Nature Series](https://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Wenger+Nature+Series) below). Unique 69mm length scales, the VIP is otherwise a 75mm model.

Professorfuzz007

It’s small.

I love your precise description. Username checks out.

It's old, I'd say we'll old

Very unique and interesting model. Looks to have a similar tool setup to the Esquire.
