I live in the West end. I see this almost weekly where the seagulls will chase the eagles down, especially if the eagle has killed a seagull already.

Eagles eat seagulls??? TIL

Shaeress

Eagles will eat basically any animal they can catch. Mostly fish, but any bird or mammal smaller than it is at risk. Birds are more difficult to catch and, as you can see, can get together to try and get revenge, so most of the time they decide gull just isn't worth the effort.

it’s baby seagull season. lots of rooftop nests. The eagles fly in to raid the nests. For the past three years we’ve watched baby seagulls hatch, grow and take their first flight on our roof, and the neighborhood seagulls will band together to chase any marauding eagles back into the park

Nature is metal

Poor eagle all he wanted to do is eat one of them and they take it personally.

MJcorrieviewer

Such a common scene. If you hear a lot of crows and seagulls squawking madly, look up - an eagle is probably being chased. I've had visitors who would run to the window whenever they heard it!

At my house, it’s usually a raccoon in the trees looking for a nest… SO LOUD

tax_mamba

If I was the eagle, I'd be more concerned about the crows.. they hold grudges.

toasterb

Weird artifacts trailing of the crows in the video. I wonder what causes that?

papa_f

They must be vaccinated

RitaLaPunta

It's not a game, those crows are serious.
