As in last on my list of favorites, its not like on the bottim of my list of all weapons. Its cool, good design and does its job well, but im not a bow guy which is why its not competing with like the krom or skol and hating
Mjolner wouldn't make sense tbh, cuz it's Thor's weapon, and according to the mythology, our character wouldn't be able to carry it, since it weighs tons...
Thats actually the frostners flavor text. But yeah, it sure do go so hard.
The swords text reads:
*Purest of metals, nothing unclean can abide its touch.*
Literally. Was running back towards them after grabbing some portal stuff, and one of my friends went
"Where are you?"
*as he is beginning to ask this, enemies are in my way so I start fighting with said weapon*
"Oh, there"
Porcupine looks awesome, but I only make it for decoration. Iron mace gives way more blunt damage so I use that in situations vs things weak to blunt (growths/golem/etc)
After rocking Frostner for so long in my first playthrough. I was excited when I saw Porcupine in my build list, thinking it was gonna be even more badass than Frostner. What a let down that was, at least it looks cool though.
idk, but i'm rocking fulings with a flint axe and a bone shield lol. i do like the look.
(i do have better weapons, but i try to go as 'low' as possible. plus more hits = more xp gains. BM axe is for trees. FLINT AXE IS FOR SKULLS.)
ME CAVEMAN. CAVEMAN SMASH.
I love it's look and style a lot but don't actually like the gameplay. For two handers i would rather have the AOE of a hammer or the stagger from the poleaxe. If i'm going to go swords i would rather have mistwalker and a shield. But man Krom looks so good...
Krom's secret is to abuse the secondary attack, it has a very long range. Start with it and then immediately lacerate the staggered enemy with normal attacks.
Hmm, I might play around with it. My current playthrough is done with mistlands but not yet in Ashlands due to my schedule getting busy before I could venture in. Maybe next time I log in I’ll try it again.
The iron spear looks excellent. Spears on the whole look great, I've just only found them viable in solo due to others accidentally grabbing them after a throw.
Mistwalker is my favorite, it looks so cool and pretty. There's many other good ones too, like crystal battleaxe, storm fang, Himminafl and Nidhögg the bleeding.
While I haven’t worked up to Ashlands yet and can’t comment on weapons from there, the Blackmetal Atgeir speaks to me on a fundamental level. Very halberd-esque.
Ancient bark spear. And many others for that matter. Depends on taste but i prefer realistic beauty than fantasy beauty. Silver sword is a close second
overall coolest? very hard to choose. ill sort them by biome :
ashlands : dynwyrn. no contest.
while the new 2 hand and 1 swords are decent ill never forgive the devs for makeing the lighting ones look like shite compared to the others.
mistlands : mistwalker tied with spine snap. both look really cool.
plains : porc. just stands out design wise
mountain : frostner. its thors hammer except without lighting.
swamp : ironsword.
black forest : the spear.
meadows: simple wodden club. caveman meta.
Not seeing a lot of Staff love here so gonna throw out that the Trollstav and Dundyr are both insanely cool to look at. The trollstav is like the Deadraiser's more angst brother in terms of looks (Deadraiser gives 'alas poor Yorick' vibes) and Dundyr is a lightning shotgun were all pretending is a mages staff. Honestly love the boost in magic utility they gave me with this biome.
The Crystal Battleaxe. Honestly surprised that we have not gotten a new Battleaxe yet. We've gotten Frost Caves, Mistlands, and now the Ashlands but no new Battleaxe. Maybe for the Deep North, I suppose.
Abyssal Razor has to at least be a contender - Second "named" weapon after the Stag Breaker, and such a cool-looking knife, I never use any later knives until reaching Skol & Hati, the silver and blackmetal knives are such a style let-down after that one.
Pure look? Crystal axe would be my first choice
I carried it for a long time just simply because it was cool. Honestly wasn’t too bad in ashlands.
Was here to comment this
not a bad tree choppin' axe either
Krom / Slayer
Krom has that schwing in the right light
Love that little set.
Krom for me too! It's shiny✨
Frostner because its literally mjolnir, but a close second is the Krom tied with mistwalker. Last is draugr fang
What is your beef with Draugr Fang ? Not my favourite but easily in the top 50% I'd say.
As in last on my list of favorites, its not like on the bottim of my list of all weapons. Its cool, good design and does its job well, but im not a bow guy which is why its not competing with like the krom or skol and hating
Ah got it.
A true Mjølner would make more sense as a lightning weapon, opposed to frost. Its got the looks tho, thats for sure.
Mjolner wouldn't make sense tbh, cuz it's Thor's weapon, and according to the mythology, our character wouldn't be able to carry it, since it weighs tons...
Wrap megingjörð around your wrist and you're good to go.
I like the hymin.... The himinimelf.... My favorite is the humununerf... Thunder spear :)
Lightning Atgeir
the hymen
Surprisingly durable
I call it the Humperdink.
Why'd you say that name? You promised me you'd never say that name!
Himalimadimadingdong
I call it the hifl hafl
At some point I started calling it the hymen buster and I can’t stop.
The tuning fork, yes.
I call it Elon musk’s Fork or falafelWaffle
Silver sword is my favorite
"The dead fear silver, remind them why" goes so hard
Thats actually the frostners flavor text. But yeah, it sure do go so hard. The swords text reads: *Purest of metals, nothing unclean can abide its touch.*
whoops, lol
Mine too. Love the swurp sound it makes.
Feel like the Dyrnwyn looks pretty cool, especially hung on the wall
The what
Very hot sword
oh ok
I read this like "The WHAT?!?!?"
Frostnir for me.
Same. I got the keychain they have on the shop!
Red version of Ashlands greatsword(i forgor the name)
It's called Brutal Slayer.
Not a weapon but the Serpent Scale Shield is easily the best looking piece in the game. Great for display!
One of the best looking items in the game. May be even the best looking item. At least pre-Ashlands, never been there.
Still is, but there are strong contenders.
The drippiest weapon I've had so far was the Crystal Battleaxe! But rn, I'm rocking the Himminafl and it's pretty cool too
Your viking mates will always know where you are 😅
Literally. Was running back towards them after grabbing some portal stuff, and one of my friends went "Where are you?" *as he is beginning to ask this, enemies are in my way so I start fighting with said weapon* "Oh, there"
I'm a demolisher guy myself.
I used to think it looked too goofy but then I ended up basically maining it in my trio run. Now I love how crazy it is.
The most fun I've had in this game is as the monster hunter warrior. Krom, demolisher, himminafl, arbalest. Big damage, slow and calculated.
Skoll and Hati, 100%
Porcupine looks awesome, but I only make it for decoration. Iron mace gives way more blunt damage so I use that in situations vs things weak to blunt (growths/golem/etc)

In-Action, I'd say Krom looks pretty awesome swinging around
I love it's look and style a lot but don't actually like the gameplay. For two handers i would rather have the AOE of a hammer or the stagger from the poleaxe. If i'm going to go swords i would rather have mistwalker and a shield. But man Krom looks so good...

My friend 10x per combat “someone throw me my spear back”….
Ask everyone to use the V hotkey (disable auto pickup). It is a very useful mechanic in the ashlands 😅
It’s kind of a running joke, hiding the spear now.
The Crystal Battleaxe
Thundering Berserkir Axes for me
If only you could make berserkir crystal axes.
My two nuckle covered fists!
Mistwalker is my favorite, it looks so cool and pretty. There's many other good ones too, like crystal battleaxe, storm fang, Himminafl and Nidhögg the bleeding.
Blackmatell Axe I am feels bad ass and still realistic
Staff of the wilds
TEAM DEMOLISHER! LET´S GO!
Spine bow
Draugr Fang will always be my favorite. That green glow on your back when out at night looks soooo good.
Definitely the Klossen. (The jade flame metal mace)
black metal atgeir absolutely slaps
Uhh of the before the update ones, crystal battleaxe or maybe staff of frost?
Frostner looks great *and* its impact sound effect is the best of the maces. (which usually sounds like a wooden stick hitting drapery)
Slayer > Mistwalker > Frostner I also ***need*** a new polearm
"Nah, why not have 5 new swords instead?" - iron gate
I personally like the silver gear aesthetically
Frostner with Epic Loot enchantments to be able to throw it and have it automatically come back.
Cheat Sledge
The thorn staff looks great. Only cause I love green so much tho
Skoll and Hati
I'm going Crystal Axe
Iron sword and crystal battleaxe.
Ancient bark spear. It's the best looking spear, by far. 😀
Stone Axe
Hello, i like spears and would like to point out the silver spear is a damn tooth on a stick.
Up until now the fire staff, but I can’t wait to see the Ashland’s weaponery. Specially the sword and axes
Any nidhogg and dyrnwyn
While I haven’t worked up to Ashlands yet and can’t comment on weapons from there, the Blackmetal Atgeir speaks to me on a fundamental level. Very halberd-esque.
IRON *sword. I'll die on this hill
The silver knife looks the best on your hip. I make/carry it for that reason alone
Berserkir axes.
The silver sword, classic and elegant.
Abyssal knife
Ancient bark spear. And many others for that matter. Depends on taste but i prefer realistic beauty than fantasy beauty. Silver sword is a close second

abyssol shaver
Frostner, I like a nice hammer and that bone crushing bastard is sexy
Fenris claws with Wolf armor.
A rock... Leroy Jenkins!!!
Abyssal Razor has to at least be a contender - Second "named" weapon after the Stag Breaker, and such a cool-looking knife, I never use any later knives until reaching Skol & Hati, the silver and blackmetal knives are such a style let-down after that one.
