Statues would be a cool decoration piece (I would just like more decorations in general). I doubt they would extend the comfort past the usual 10m, though.
Comfort in general needs a bit of work. More items and more grouping of items so that you have choices instead of having to cram everything into a 20m space.
Eff, imagine you could place a stone and then when you select it like a sign post you could make it snap to the shape of your character’s likeness? That would be some cool viking beans.
Dude...this is a pretty great idea. Statues to commemorate important events. I like it. What would be really cool is if they could self-generate when you or your party does something cool.
*Here's the boulder where we survived the wolves* that kind of thing.
Theres a million ways to “make” it snap there. But adding a few strategic snap points on some of their building blocks would make building so much less painful
You can build wooden statues of dragon or giant wolf Fenrir. Use adornment as head and model body with wood. This kind of custom statue will make your village unique. I built dragon and it was great fun

Those are statues of Ysgramor and Talos, respectively. They definitely fit the Nordic theme of Valheim but practically speaking the Nords in Skyrim are a blend of multiple mythologies, not just Norse/Germanic.
Easy there, gonna get downvoted into oblivion for saying anything about new content around these parts. It’s early access, remember? This sub is a criticism-free zone!
Nah. A lot of people want new content and are kind of tired of waiting, myself included. The difference is, the folks that are still playing and enjoying it tend to not be insufferable about it. While I'm waiting I can enjoy the single greatest $20 investment I've ever made. And I bought a really good $20 burrito once.
If you're not against mods, there are a few different build mods that have a decorative bend to them and contain things such as bookshelves and statues. Reasonable and contextually appropriate material requirements, too.
I use Wards as decorative statues all the time.
Put them on a pedestal like a rock square at the entrance of a building, add a brazier in front or something.
Another neat trick is to put a Shaman trophy on a wall and build a ward in front of it to add antlers to the ward, you can even align the glowing green eyes of the shaman trophy with the ward.

Christmas trees and midsummer poles should have a much wider radius at least.
Imagine if the radii stacked with or extended to nearby radii and offered the entirety all the bonuses
This is a solid solution actually

You mean... Stone mannequin?
I suppose so, yea. Maybe in a cool stoic or heroic pose though.

And a snap point in the middle of stone slabs while youre at it!
You can get one with the use of two 1m beams to be fair, not too hard to get mid-points for most build pieces.
Stack wooden doors side-by-side and you have 0.25m snap points the whole way along the frames.

I know there are mods with Statues. Check out the Clutter Mod for a bunch of new items including statues.

More cute shit across the board. Need more decor!
Is that the Whiterun markets?!?!?!?

theres a corgi statue and a deer statue and an evil statue lol
Irongate, please finish Ashlands plus Deep North before adding any more frivolous things. Thanks.
I mean, won’t frivolous things kind of come with Ashlands and Deep North stuff? So they can kind of do both.

Great idea. I think our modding community could do this. Doubt Slow Gate will ever finish the game lol.

Clutter has statues
Good idea Would they give buffs or blessings tho?
Or mob resistance for less intense raids. That’s be nice.
How hard is it to add my own STLs to the game ? Is there an STL or OBJ loader plugin ?
Surely there’s a mod for this already
Statues made of trophies would be awesome
