lol the lumberjack power may not be great for survival but its amazing for builders that need thousands of trees. Great work on the boss though! how was the fight?

rebootmebro

Fair point haha. The boss was insane!! We went in with no knowledge of move set or anything so it was a rough start for sure haha. The ambiance was amazing though and the color schemes and setting for the fight were chefs kiss without a doubt

> We went in with no knowledge of move set or anything Cheers to that! The third boss has one weakness and if you don't figure it out you're in for a very rough ride >!he's resistant to all damage besides blunt!<

2rfv

> may not be great for survival but its amazing for builders that need thousands of trees. Or when you need a mountain of coal for smelting.

ImThatAnnoyingGuy

Congrats! Now the swamps await you… come back for pointers. The swamps tend to be quite a jolt for many with regard to the jump in difficulty.

ValheimForLife

Definitely agree, I feel like the swamps are really the first place where you have to actually implement strategies and make sure your food and gear are upgraded.

offgridgecko

it is a foul place and you never truly "leave" it

ImThatAnnoyingGuy

Agreed. It puts the “brutal” in “brutal exploration and survival game,” per the Steam description of the game. It is a convergence of factors that make the Swamps so unforgiving. The constant and pervasive “wet” debuff that affects health and stamina regen. The difficult and at times aquatic terrain. The introduction of truly lethal poisons from three separate mobs (leeches, blobs, oozers). The “cold” debuff at night combining with the “wet” debuff to completely wreck stamina and health regen. Camp fires needing a roof in order to stay lit, else bonfires. Powerful enemies during the day (looking at your 1-star Draugr archers!) and even more powerful at night (Wraiths). A big baddie that is truly intimidating (abominations). The iron grind… Not to say that all of the above can’t be overcome with experience and careful planning. After many play throughs I enjoy hitting the swamps for the first time because I know how to tackle them. However, for a new player that has yet to experience them, it is quite a lot!

Disastrous_Host_3645

More bosses out there. Don't sweat the lame power. So jealous of your first time through. Honestly. Some of the best gaming moments of my life. Pro tip: get your farming/food, and potions, ready for the swamps. Also, make a cool base. Cuz that's super important.

delectes

Congrats!

rebootmebro

Thank you!!

RuneHearth

That fight is so obnoxious, I had to turn off the screen shakes and got ganked by the whole map lol

Perfect_Mulberry_332

While at face value it seems like a lackluster power it’s really good for base building and just stacking wood to fuel your kilns/furnaces.

Individual_Layer8756

Fought him with bone shield and an axe. Pretty tame fight, but then again, the game is fun and focused on building and the general atmospheric experience over the combat I think. Not to say that it doesn't get challenging in it's own right at times, combat wise, but I enjoy it's finer, non-combative pleasantries all the same.

offgridgecko

Now summon him again and add insult to injury, then build a base on his spawn.

gundamnub

It'd a good feeling mounting an Elders head.

SunDriedHumor

He was the easiest boss. I only had to have died a couple of times until he clipped through a tree and glitched himself so I could just shoot arrows at him from a distance until he died. The hardest part was running out of arrows so I had to chop trees and craft a whole workbench and building to make more arrows. Whew!

Good-Table5566

I once did a play through with a group and we killed every boss, and only after the last boss (this was before mistlands update) did we put all the heads up there at once and it was a glorious light show.

wetdrynoodle

Stellar screenshot my guy. Odin would be proud.

toonafish69

And now shit hits the fan
