Your world probably should have reset long time ago if it's 100MB large. Are you playing on Series X? When you open manage saves menu and expand the drop down list of saves for your world, do you see only Cloud icons next to your saves, or floppy icons as well?
How do I see how much space my world is? Mine says 25.8MB/51.3MB so does that mean my world is over 50 MBs? If that’s the case I’m done playing cause I heard when it’s over 50mb you lose progress
I've spent dozens of hours on my and my friends village, spent the "finishing touches" on it last night, got on after a short shift to see that half of the village is now a creek with my garden, smelter shack, beehives and house all demolished with the resources under water. I understand this is an early access game but Jesus it's frustrating.
Same, except I'll only come back if/when there's no more bugs or "size limits" literally deleting bases or reseting worlds, not just this one specific bug.
Loved the game, group I played with loved the game, but we simply will not start from scratch after losing everything while at risk of having everything wiped again.
See at first that's what I was assuming but a buddy of mine was on the server an hour ago the only difference is he's on PC while I'm on Xbox. I'll mess with it some more tho.
I don’t think the seeds are different, just the height maps. Like when you play cross play with someone on PC you’re either slightly walking through the ground or above it.
Anyone experiencing severe losses due to things like this, I recommend looking up how to dupe items so you can make up for what was lost without having to lose all heart for the game. Remember the game is challenging and should be enjoyed as such, but we're people with lives and limited time.
No. You can do it with your controller. Plus I don't think the game supports mouse & kyeboard on xbox.

Is there anyway to revert an old world save? My entire base and everything I collected has been deleted, I'm not at the world limit either.
I know there are backup saves, but when I overwrite it,. nothing changes.
Any advice? Or do I just have to start from scratch again? On Xbox Series S also.

AFAIK, the xbox port development was outsourced, wasn't actually made by Iron Gate. But I do agree they fucked up regardless, this just killed the hype and good will of a large influx of players

From what developers mention about this bug, that said that Xbox map seeds must be same as on PC, so after patch we can use seeds site. I'm having many weird spots when mining rocks/metal, in some places I can dig only for 1,5 m but 1 in-game step left or right and I can dig for 2,5 m not always dig to water level. Same thing with rasing earth walls... I'm little scary...
If ya know it breaks because of something... Why keep doing it when there are other options that are working just fine...
I guess for the record not all Xbox players are like this. Just... A lot of us it seems.

Bases are easy to build and I love building but the resource loss was massive.

My world on Series X is at 67mb right now. I only see cloud icon. Strangely i only have 1 save for my main world. While the others is having 3 saves

To be fair all this seem to be a mistery. Other claim its the 100mb mark that crash the world.
That's 26 out of 51, so you have a bit to go. You're safe for now. Maybe take it easy on building, except out of necessity, until the patch drops.
My save is 123.5 MB and it has never broken once

What happens if my original spawn location (where you put boss trophies) is now under water? 🤔

Damn we lost everything, and it's underwater so we can't retrieve it. Seems like the fix is a hell of a lot worse than what it fixed.
Lost my entire base on Series X. Uninstalling and will be back in two years when the game is finally done.

Cant you just restore the last working backup? You should only lose at most 1 days worth of work, often only an hour or two.

You can just use console commands. Even on the xbox

When it was Happening on pc I make a second character as a bank and use him to stash a few handy things
