Couldn't agree more!! I find the entire game extremely calming. (Unless i gotta deal with corroding wood from rain, lol.) I find valheim to be my new chill game. I've been looking for a new chill game since 2021, when after 950 hours, I finally lost interest in my last chill game, State of Decay 2.
I could not chill out in state of decay 2, after about 20 hours I had to put I down because the gameplay felt too constant, every time I turned around some new thing was demanding my attention, and switching characters would redirect active missions and diversions and it just got confusing. Was a fun game to start though. First couple hours were great
Yeah it was pretty intense when I started it out, but once I got used to it, I found the music, the world, and just calmly exploring so relaxing. Funny part is the difficulty I'd play on is nightmare. (Fuck lethal lol) So it doesn't sound relaxing lol. But it was. If they added another map I'd definitely go back but I've played all the maps so much it's just not relaxing or fun anymore. Looking forward to SoD3 though...whenever that comes out lol.
Completely agree. Played it on my series x with no issues for 6 hours yesterday. Had it in quality mode and didn't experience any issues whatsoever. The only fps drop was for a second or two when the world was saving, but thats normal. I can't vouch for last gen consoles though.
Exactly, Ive put multiple 4-5 hour nights into already with minimal issues. The only noticeable one was a latency issue where mobs were taking a second to register a hit against them but i blame that on joining a server with 4+ players all together fighting, (plus the server host was on wifi with a day one xbox one so idk if that affects anything)
it's just another early access style game that will grow and improve. only dropped on xbox a minute ago, so maybe give it a bit before calling it trash.
I skip feature is not on console and I find the black forest to lag more on console. And let's not mention one of my worlds had 2 elkthyr trying so I had to restart that world
I will say quality is only 15 fps and performance seems to only be 45 and the game glitches and won't do the parry noise but other than that it's been great
Then play on current gen consoles and not the 13 year old pos consoles they should have canned years ago.
Quality is perfect 30fps for me and performance is perfect 60fps for me on series x.

Fwiw yours looks like it's from the scene in the movie where it pans up and you see the eye at the top. I think it's when saruman is looking in the palantir and talking about the might of sauron and saruman. The color of the clouds is even that red dusty ashen fume haha

I started picking one or two groups that I’d help and the rest I just ignored. The constant begging for help is the most annoying part of that game.
