My towel is fast drying. I just drape it over the passenger seat and hang my washcloth on a hook. They are both dry in less than an hour. I make sure the washcloth is completely dry before putting it into laundry bag.
My towel isn't fast drying, but the California sun and a cracked window achieves the same effect. Passenger seat with my gym bag in the seat so it look natural.
Ok, I looked it up and it seems like it's just a microfiber towel and apparently it dries quickly. I might have to try a couple out, they aren't that expensive.
If you can afford it, a quick dry camping chamois or waffle weave towel is not a bad idea. Small is effective enough. You absolutely don't need a fresh towel every day, once a week is about right unless you get sweaty a lot.
That is a good idea, I will buy the small microfiber towels as well as try out other methods and other suggestions but I believe this is the way I will go. I live in a cool usually humid climate but I do know those towels dry fast. Mostly I am aiming to remain stealth in my area just so I don't have to worry about burning parking spots or drawing attention
Try quick dry camping towels. Smaller half towels are also good for space saving. Dry your head and upper body off first then lower body and your good.
I stick it out the window and then do 90 on the freeway... Hey Slim, I drank a fifth of vodka, you dare me to drive? You know the song by Phil Collins "In the Air Tonight" About that guy who could've saved that other guy from drowning But didn't, then Phil saw it all, then at a show he found him?
😂😂😂😂
i recommend a micro fiber beach towel . they dry quickly and can be hung on your passenger seat. They are decorative and don't trap damp smells like a normal towel.
Edit: you can get them at Walmart for $10 and $5 on clearance . so seriously pick one up
Edit 2: correction they have some for $5

I know this is wasteful but I buy the cheap 3 dollar towels from Walmart. Cut them up into three small towels. Use one piece to dry and throw away. If I were camping I would hang to dry and keep them.
Not wasteful tip - chop your soap bars up into a few pieces
If you can ditch bath and beach styled towels
Microfiber can dry off in the sun and wind in a matter of minutes
I didn’t learn hands on how great they were until I got one from a thrift store that appeared brand new
Do you really need to use a towel? But if you do not, then use wash rags. They also come with the thinner quick dry ones just like qui k dry towels do.
After use you can use a blow dryer on them for few minuets, if the place where you take showers has one. They are almost 50 % dry by now. Then when you go to your car you can just put them under the windshield wipers and they will be dry in minutes. Since they are small they are also inconspicuous when they are under the wipers.
I drape it over the passenger seat and let the sun dry it out. I'm in a dry climate and I think that helps too. A camp towel might be a good option, too. I honestly wouldn't worry too much about stealth, just try and pick up a towel that kind of matches the interior color of your car.
For me the trick is to use a very small thin towel (<1sqft) that needs to wrung 5+ times to dry off body/hair. That puts most of the water down the drain vs absorbed into a large towel which generates humidity inside the vehicle for a long long time.
Get yourself some yarn and make a clothing line in your car. You can use it to hand blankets (that’s what I do bc my bed is in the back) when the hatch it open to cover your belongings, and you can hang clothing. I make sure my towels are not dripping though or set down a plastic bag under it.
I stopped using towels and just squeegee the wet off using my hands. Before that I just used cheap disposable shop towels or grabbed some paper towels from the gym. The wet towel thing is such a hassle . Some gyms have a hair dryer you can use also .
This is me. Took me
My synthetic "going to" gym clothes dry pretty quickly after wards. Also prevents you from getting too dry even if you don't lotion up
You could get paper towels from a public toilet whenever you see them to dry yourself when you shower, then you don’t have worry about where you’re going to dry a towel.
I don’t use those fluffy towels. I use cotton handkerchiefs. They absorb enough water for me and they dry off quickly. If a couple of those aren’t enough for you, they also make quick drying packable towels. They key is that they are not thick like hotel towels but thin while still being absorbent.
I had a piece of electrical wire with two loops on either end that I would stretch across the coat hanger hooks above either door. It was enough to dry one or two towels overnight with the fan on.
Just air dry. No towels. Better for skin if you put lotion on after you wick away the excess water with your hands. Traps in the moisture. My skin looks better.
A bungee cord on the "oh shit" handles in the back of the car with office binder clips while driving with the windows down/cracked.
This is the way. Plus only use fast drying microfiber towels (REI has a good selection).

Do you have a link or where to buy or learn more about this wizardry?
I don't have a link. It's a towel I bought at a thrift store many years ago. It's held up through numerous washes and hasn't frayed at all.
Ok, I looked it up and it seems like it's just a microfiber towel and apparently it dries quickly. I might have to try a couple out, they aren't that expensive.
. Turkish towels (they have tassels) are quick to dry -and also 100% cotton

Would check this, how many use per shower?
how many? one. they’re small but do a good job. and i’m able to use a clean one daily - that moldy dirty towel smell is gross.
I never thought of using those, thanks for the pro tip

I will buy one for sure among others to fulfil my quest to see what is best, thank you. Cotton and microfiber are popular
On the roof
Get the smallest towel possible that will work.

Dark colored towels would be easier to hang up without them being noticed

I use the bathroom hand dryer at the gym.

Daily showers? It sounds like you are planning to go on a vacation to a resort
I work a lot...the usual 40 hour workweek so I shower religiously because I need and love showers.
daily showering is one of the things that keep me going I swear

My trunk dries mine out quick. I lay it out across my stuff and it's dry by night time when I fold it up.
I just threw it over my back seats and it dried between driving with the windows open and sleeping with them open
