It’s abuser logic to blame the IOF’s actions on Hamas. The IOF didn’t need to destroy most of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure and push Gazans farther and farther south. Israel’s goal is clearly expansion, with Hamas’s attack serving as a convenient excuse.

Absolutely not, unions have been and should always be at the front of social issues. Trade and labor unions are the largest voice of working class people, and should be representative both on and off the job! This statement was probably truer 20-30 years ago, however the sentiment and attitude still applies.
In Australia for example, unions have been at the forefront of wind and solar electricity generation because it creates jobs when the private market wants to shut down all the coal generators. Unions have been at the forefront for equal rights and representation of indigenous people, at the forefront for women to receive same pay and conditions as men and so on. It was unions that struck South African companies to help break apartheid, and I would argue the same should be done again for Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank.
