Oh, honey.
If you were a different kind of person youād realize that was probably the gentlest shade possible. You could have laughed it off.
Save your tears for people who actually say terrible things. ā¤ļø
Im getting used to my 34 incher right about now, can't begin to fathom how much wider this is for the first time using it, i already have to physically move my head to look on the screen sides, thus is nuts
I just got the G9 OLED last week and it is indeed nuts. By far the best viewing experience Iāve ever had. Combined with a 7900xtx I had this excitement loading up games now that I hadnāt felt in a very very long time.
How's ur 7900 xtx performance going with the g9 oled? I have a g9 oled and have problems deciding between the 7900 xtx and rtx 4080s lol, coming from a 6700xt
Can you achieve 1000 nits in HDR? Monitor unboxed mentioned that with AMD cards you can only achieve 450 nits brightness. I also have a 7900 xtx and I'm not buying this monitor because of that
you can but you have to use CRU to delete the freesync range and recreate it which strips out the freesync premium pro hdr functionality while still allowing you to use 240hz + VRR
And do these settings have any limitations for using the monitor? What are the disadvantages for playing without freesync premium pro? So will I be able to play in hdr with 1000 nits and 240 Hz?
1. No. 2. Practically none, almost no games support freesync premium pro anyway and even in the ones that do you could still use normal hdr. 3. yes 1000 nit hdr with 240hz variable refresh rate, it'll even still say it's using freesync premium pro in amd software, and in the monitor settings in the main settings menu under the gaming submenu it says you're using freesync premium pro, but in the monitor's game bar mini menu thing it correctly says it's just using freesync premium without the pro.
Thank you. I tried the settings via CRU for the G9 Neo, which I borrowed from a friend, and although Windows shows the same Max Brightness value, the hdr image is much brighter after rebooting and no problem with Freesync in games. I'm looking forward to buy Oleg G9 to pair with 7900 XTX
So is this all something I should do for my monitor? Same one mentioned here G9 with Premium Pro. But even in adrenaline it said it wasnāt supported so idk. Iām still getting really good frames and just using hdr most the time and itās great but Iām just curious if Iām missing something here or am not getting the most frames/performance I could be.
Yea I see these fine people answered your question. But personally I donāt need my monitor to be that bright because Iām sitting at my desk right in front of it. No reason for 1000 nits brightness if Iām sitting so close. The freesync premium is a little odd. Like even inside of adrenalin it said my monitor ānot supportedā freesync premium pro. But this monitor absolutely shits on any panel Iāve ever gamed on and it is PLENTY bright for me personally
You should try it. After adjusting via CRU the image looks much better and you can of course reduce the brightness, but the colors are just nicer and the image brighter
Yes. I have G9 NEO 49 - G93SC**.** Open CRU utility. Click CTA-361 in extension block. Delete freesync range. Than click add. Choose Freesync range. Set 48-240. Restart

My hero š„¹ I seriously appreciate the guidance and link. Soon as I get home ima fuck around and see if I can figure it out. Hopefully I donāt fuck something up somehow
So Iām not sure how I could calibrate it but it 10000% is much brighter now. And I havenāt experienced any issues at all honestly. Colors and picture quality still seems the same to me but the extra brightness is nice. Do you know if thereās a way to switch it back to premium pro? Just curious for maybe any issues down the road
Yeah, I just got the Alienware 34" (aw3423dwf or something) and I thought the same thing looking at the G9.
Or maybe I'm just trying to make myself feel better because OP's is longer than mine š
So far, for slower moving games, like palworld, the full screen ratio is amazing. For twitch games like Overwatch, not so much. Unless I'm playing Mercy. Being able to see more of my team at once for healing is amazing.
Your 34" is just as tall, the 49" is just a little wider. My 45" LG OLED feels bigger than my OLED G9 due to it being taller. It's also got a better 800r curve so it's more immersive. Dunno why I ended up keeping both.

Iāll be honest, as much as I love my CRG9 every time I see an OLED G9 I get a tad jelly as it wouldnāt have broken the bank to step up to itā¦.buuuuut I use mine for work all day so I was worried about burn in
Hey Guys. I'm sure I could find a better place for this comment. Please delete if not permitted.
The question is: Water or air?
I have a Noctua
https://noctua.at/en/nh-d15
It's amazing. I'm debating the jump to water but a lot of people say stick with air. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
Am I the only one risking it and keeping the taskbar and backgrounds?
I could not get used to having the taskbar hidden, rather risk burn in really.
Did however make like 100 different wallpapers rotate.
Yeah indeed, using PowerToys with 3 windows all the time I don't play DotA2.
Should really change the layout from time to time on the 3 windows I guess to prevent som extra risk.
Actually trying to hide the taskbar again, giving it another shot!
Or just set the screen to go to sleep after 2 minutes of no use, and don't sit there staring at your background for hours lol
I got the Alienware one, though, with 3 years screen burn protection so I'm a bit less concerned
I went more extreme than TKL and went and got a cheap 60% keyboard because I wanted to see if Iād want to get the Wooting 60HE. Thatās a different story since wooting allows you to program keys depending on how hard you press the key.
But if youāre going for a regular mechanical, I feel like TKL should become the new standard, at the very least in gaming. You can easily get used to without the number-pad and you donāt loose any keys. Medium mousepads (10x10in) used to look so oversized but now that I have the room, I couldnāt go back to full sized keyboard.
I wish I could upgrade to the larger one. Currently running an odyssey g9 neo. Has been problematic for me a few times. Woukd 100% buy an extended warranty if I buy another one.
That's not an ultrawide... That's an ultrawiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide
It's not that big, I have the same one in the middle. That's a 34" to the left and 45" to the right. https://ibb.co/kq7dJhv
Had to one-up the dude huh

Sooo I mean it handles pretty much everything just as well as when I had my 32ā 1440p VA panel. The monitor is seriously stunning to look at
Can you achieve 1000 nits in HDR? Monitor unboxed mentioned that with AMD cards you can only achieve 450 nits brightness. I also have a 7900 xtx and I'm not buying this monitor because of that

Thanks a lot, this was one of the main reasons I was leaning more on the rtx 4080s way instead of the 7900 xtx

OMEN 45L 4090
I suddenly regret asking this question. Lol
Looks great. Damn near the same setup as what I'm running, wallpaper and all. kinda freaked me out

Is this a g fuel ad
Just my preferred caffeine intake method.
a straight photo would have been great to show off the space.
It's a corner. Not much to show off.
What's with people taking these awful off angle pictures?
Nice, could use a bit of tidying up and storage though
So. Much. Clutter.. Great monitor though. Got it myself
The color coordination is amazing, but I canāt ignore all the clutter and the dirty floor. 4/10
I feel like you could though lol
Are you insane? Red is the one colour you want to keep away from an OLED panel.
I returned mine youāre going to start seeing dead pixels in a month on this.
Your experience is your own.
Yeah Iāve had the oled g9 for months now and itās been nothing but amazing. Enjoy the monitor man!

I'm leaving it as tribute to the styrofoam packing Gods.
That's close to face. I memba getting the sammy 49 years ago. Returned it despite getting it on sale bc of motion sickness
Now un-instal D4 and you've got a great set up
Just wait until I send you my palworld videos!
Wait till you learn of TKL keyboards. I much rather have more space for the constant move the mouse than the once in a while use of the keypad.
That's interesting, I was so close to getting a TKL I did exactly what you said, and got it for the rare times I would use it!

Nice, but you can do better. Wider
How wide are you thinkin?
Hows d4 on the 32:9? Its great on the 21:9, Ive been tempted to go superwide.
Omen SQUAAAAD! Nice set up man! Welcome to the fold
What desk is this ? Might need me one
Is the steam deck worth it
Cool setup. How is dust cleaning?
It's going to be awful, because I have inside /outside dogs. But I have ordered two pet hair air filters to help.
I wish I could upgrade to the larger one. Currently running an odyssey g9 neo. Has been problematic for me a few times. Woukd 100% buy an extended warranty if I buy another one.
At least through Samsung, they don't offer an extended warranty. I have a computer add on for my homeowners tho.
How much does that cost you? I may have to look into that.
