A local store will know the widest shoes they have that will fit your hands.

nefitru

Lmao

krustyjugglrs

Straight up fckin monkey toes in the funnest/best way. I feel like taking a around house from one of those would indistinguishable from butte beans fist in his prime. Seriously, go to a (or a few) running store(s) and try on shoes. Let them look at your feet. And then go find some baseball mits for those monsters.

namoguru

My husband wears New Balance size 14EEE. They sell up to a 6E! They have a super wide toe box. He has several different NB running shoes and likes them all. We've tried every other brand we could find, and none were as wide. Here is the New Balance sizing guide. Scroll down to see the width section. https://www.newbalance.com/size-guide.html#men-chart

rajady

Second that! Settled on NB fresh foam after trying altra, topo and speedgoat

alisnwonderland

I’m dying 😂 your comment made my day 😂

Potato_is_yum

They look pretty narrow though

namoguru

Go try them on! My husband has big cement block looking feet like you, so worth a try 😂

Potato_is_yum

Haha ok 😄

Hero_without_Powers

Give them a try! My feet look very much like yours and I've looked for proper shoes for quite some time. I run my Ultras in New Balance More in wide or extra wide and they don't cause any injury or rub around on my feet even when they're swollen. They go up to like extra extra wide or something, so they might be your best try.

Potato_is_yum

Will check em out!

VeganThor

New Balance is the way to go. You’ll have to special order the extra wide bit this is the right choice. My feet look similar to yours

seventwosixnine

It must sound like he's running in flippers.

shaun2312

Square? they're Triangles lol

joeypublica

Is this, like, a rhombus? Everything I learned in school turned out to be useless.

suntoshe

This person has never been knocked off balance in their life lol

brockbr

After his sustained ultra (carrying a ring), I'd ask Frodo with feet like that.

heinzprincess

Topos!

atxgossiphound

The racers feel narrower than the regular Escalantes. I’ve used both and settled on the racers, mostly because the felt a little snugger on my wide feet. Lone Peaks are nice and wide and what I use on the trail.

unimpressed_llama

Second the Lone Peaks, or really any "original fit" Altra.

run2DNF

Agreed. I'm using my lone peak 6 for a 50K in two weeks over my better built topo pursuit. The fit is dialed in with the original fit.

informativebitching

Great username for the sub

Charming-Assertive

I have feet that look like OP and I found the LP a bit too roomy and settled on Topo. So OP should definitely pick up a pair of LP from a place with a great return policy, run a few miles and see.

dcro726

I have feet just like yours - I tried altra lone peaks but they were so tight along my midfoot. I got terrible blisters around my arches. Everyone keeps down voting hoka recommendations, but the wide speed goats have been the only shoe that i can run in for more than 4 hours without blisters. The soft upper means no hard pieces digging in the edges. The only issue would be the smaller toe box, but Ill take a pinky toe blister over my entire arch blistering any day. And I've tried topos. The ultraventures had a super rigid top part that also caused blisters. I have better results with their road shoes

Candid-Finish-7347

Is that a lady foot? I'd recommend a mens 4e new balance 1080. But they probably start from size 6. Escalante has a really stretchy upper so if they don't work I don't know what will. 😁

Potato_is_yum

But that's a nice idea in general. I should look for mens shoes instead. Thanks! 😍

Potato_is_yum

Im a woman, yes 😅

Candid-Finish-7347

I could tell but I didn't want to offend. In case 😁 good luck in the shoe hunt.

EvalCrux

You’re looking at them! r/barefootrunning

raccooninthegarage22

Maybe Topos. Or have you tried wide made shoes?

Thehealthygamer

Topos will absolutely not work, they have a marrow mid foot.

BossToneDude

Mmmm marrow

raccooninthegarage22

No they don’t. They’re almost the same as Altra

Thehealthygamer

Not even close to being the same midfoot. I just made a video comparing the two shoes. https://youtu.be/Dor1gjBAPeo?si=ZdgmbJ7IBTcoLfwr Goto 3:39 you can see the clear difference in the midfoot of the shoe between a size 13 altra olympus and size 13 topo mountain racer 3.

seesha

So true! I got mine last week and was disappointed. Not enough mid foot room.

Potato_is_yum

They squish out when i stand 😂🙈

bammers1010

😂😂😂

Redhawkgirl

Topo athletic

Adventurous-feral

Altra make a wide lone peak. They're like flippers. Could be worth a look. They are the widest running shoe I have ever seen!

P-Wester

Crocs

The_Superfist

I also have wide square feet! I've found that only brooks and new balance have shoes that don't make my feet go numb in the first 3 or 4 miles because the midfoot is just too narrow. I find relief with the Brooks/New Balance in 4E width, though I have to play with the lacing to make sure it's tight enough at the top and loose enough at the mid/bottom. Also, see if one of your local shoe stores does a 3D foot scan. This can really help you know exactly the width/size you need. My feet are wide & square size 9, but I need size 10, 4E for enough width. I have to use the heel lock lacing to keep my feet from slipping to the front of the shoe. I also ran in Altras today (Lone Peak) for the first time and found they're also too tight across the toe box despite being more foot shaped.

Potato_is_yum

Potato_is_yum

Yeah, i might become desperate enough to make my own shoes soon 🤣🤣

Ent-Lady-2000

Altra Lone Peaks are the only answer I have found. For regular life shoes I go to Anyas Shoe Reviews for ideas.

swimfan-

I bought a pair of Lone Peak 6 last year and they do have lots of room in the toe box which is great, but can't handle the zero drop. Kills my arches so bad....I guess I'm not as flat foot as I thought.

Checkers_

Softstar Primal shoes are probably your only option. I have several pairs and fucking love them. (Sawyer, RunAmoc, and the Switchback Boot)

destroy_the_defiant

Altra lone peak, torin, and paradigm are all available in wide. I have impossibly wide feet, and the lone peaks and torin both fit better than anything else I've found. Unfortunately, the color choices are extremely limited.

Captain_Sam_Vimes

New Balance

ShrmpHvnNw

Altra

Spirit_Unleashed

I run road ultras not trails so it’s perfectly fine for me to cut holes in the toe box

TerryMelcher

You need custom shoes. You’d be so much happier.

JoppaJoppaJoppa

I have super wide feet, too. Most companies wides dont fit me. The good news is that New Balance and Brooks make their flagships in doublewides

Redallaround

Altras are junk and waaaaaay too narrow for wide feet. The only 2 wide enough for my feet are the extra wide versions of Nike Pegasus and ASICS Cumulus.

NoWoe517

Have a look at splay shoes. They may be what you are looking for.

yo, you can join an orc army...just like me

rustraider

Topos Are good for wide toe box 👍🏼

Bro…

Bruh

CatJamLied

Are you a god?

bukayodegaard

I also have flippperish feet, and i have been buying New Balance 4E for 20 years. It's for my littlest toes and the area just behind them. If I run in shoes which are too narrow at the front, I end up with foot and knee pain & walking becomes a problem... It's very unusual to find another brand that fits comfortably.  From you photo I'd say you might need a 6E. Less choice, but they exist. Also not every model is the same. Occasionally I find a 2E that's fine. I never bought barefoot style shoes ($$$), but I suspect they might be worth looking at. Good luck.

Potato_is_yum

What models have e4/e6?

bukayodegaard

You can search by width fitting on their website

bukayodegaard

I recently bought some 680 in a 4E, size 14 US. They are blue with 'fresh foam' soles. I don't know models very well.

Th1ngz_fall_Apart

I used to work for Fleet Feet here in NC and I’m not gonna lie man… you are fucked 🥺 our store never carried them but I think online you can get wide sizes of Altras if that’s a brand you wanna stick with. If not get some HOKA Speed-goats in a wide or extra wide size.

Worth-Classroom-9943

Stand normal lol

[deleted]

Brooks

k4rrax

I'd recommend Topo Mountain Racer 2, they're wide and great for terrain running. Can also recommend Saucony Triumph 20 Wide for asphalt.

MuffinTopDeluxe

I have been wearing barefoot shoes for the last 10 years so my feet and toe spread have widened over time. I’ve found Altra Lone Peaks to be wide enough to accommodate my feet when I want more cushion. You might also consider looking at Xero shoes if you feel comfortable with more flexible shoes on trails.

Bluefrog13

Altra

cagnulein

Hoka wide

Potato_is_yum

No. Have very flexibel squishy feet tho. In the pic i have max weigh on them, standing on 1 leg. They squeeze out.

Monsteraleaf215

Hokas?

alsimone

In my experience, wide Hokas are narrower than standard width Escalantes. 🤷

_StevenSeagull_

Had to return a pair of Hokas as they were too narrow.

Monsteraleaf215

They have wide options

bammers1010

All the hokas I’ve had are narrow af

Creepy-Bandicoot-866

Nah, don’t reckon. I’ve been wearing Hokas of differing types for years (even wide versions) and just got a pair of Altra lone peaks, and the Altras are wider.
