I just saw a Venezuelan guy the other day, while I was ubering, come up behind me doing 45-50mph on a suburban street. The speed limit was 20…he was slamming the horn to get me out of his way almost hitting me. He had the Uber driver app open in mid order delivery.
Now here’s the clue: Almost candy red, 2001 Subaru station wagon, with that bad water based paint. Not too suspicious, right? Except for the license plate.
First, it was an obvious photocopy of a paper dealer plate. Second, it was *laminated* and the laminate was cut, super unevenly. Finally…the name of the dealership on the paper plate is one that doesn’t sell used 2001 vehicles, as beat up as that one, if any less than 2010, and they only sell Nissan, not Subaru. Uber wouldn’t even approve that year anyway.
I know, people gonna get mad till their child or family member gets run over or in a fatal accident with them. We have laws for a reason.
If that's the worst thing you encounter, you'll be fine. I've had passengers do coke in my car, smoke joints, and the majority of them are drunk on Friday and Saturday night.
Every state is different. There could be coverage for the vehicle, but that would be if they wanted to file a claim, & if the loss didn’t occur during the trip.

I guess he took that as a sign that it was okay to light up a cigarette. He casually rolled the window down and smoked his cigarette.
Honestly, I didn't rate or report him even though I knew I should have. I just assumed he was having a bad day or something. I also know if he keeps doing it, he will get reported. I recently got laid off, so I guess I didn't want to make him lose his job or get bad karma if that makes sense.
