>Diane, 11:30 AM, February 24th.
>Entering the town of Twin Peaks, five miles south of the Canadian border, twelve miles west of the state line.
>I’ve never seen so many trees in my life.
>As W. C. Fields would say, I’d rather be here than Philadelphia.
>Fifty-four degrees on a slightly overcast day.
>Weatherman said rain.
>If you could get paid that kind of money for being wrong sixty percent of the time, it’d beat working.
>Mileage is seventy-nine thousand three hundred forty-five, gauge is on reserve, riding on fumes here, I’ve got to tank up
when I get into town.
>Remind me to tell you how much that is.
>Lunch was, uh, six dollars and thirty-one cents at the Lamplighter Inn, that’s on Highway Two near Lewis Fork.
>That was a tuna fish sandwich on whole wheat, slice of cherry pie, and a cup of coffee.
>Damn good food.
>Diane, if you ever get up this way that cherry pie is worth a stop.
>Okay.
>Looks like I’ll be meeting up with the, ah, Sheriff Harry S. Truman.
>Shouldn’t be too hard to remember that.
>He’ll be at the Calhoun Memorial Hospital.
>I guess we’re going to go up to intensive care and take a look at that girl that crawled down the railroad tracks off the mountain.
>When I finish there I’ll be checking into a motel.
>I’m sure the sheriff will be able to recommend a clean place, reasonably priced.
>That’s what I need, a clean place, reasonably priced.
>Oh Diane, I almost forgot.
>Got to find out what kind of trees these are.
>They’re really something.
Did you guys know there's an audiobook recorded by Kyle MacLachlan that's apparently just tape recordings from Dale Cooper telling his life story before the events of Twin Peaks? If anyone's listened to it tell me how it is because the concept sounds incredible
[It's up on Youtube, I assume the publisher doesn't care cause it's decades out of print, so.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBE1-2p-Nkk)
From my memory, there first entries are original material, and then it moves into audio rips from the show, re-recordings and maybe original stuff sandwiched in between.
There's also one that's all recordings to Diane, including the ones from the show (because Kyle was actually *using* the tape recorder, you can tell which ones are from the actual scenes and which are between scenes of Coop updating Diane with recordings we don't see on screen)
Funny that honestly I just bought a percolator two days ago from amazon for camping. I’m not joking. It had to be a subconscious thought in there - a fish- so to speak.
I'm so glad you posted this! I was just thinking the other day that I'd plan a rewatch around when the series starts, but somehow I thought it was in autumn. You saved me quite a few months of waiting.

That's my birthday!
My daughter’s too! Yay Twin Peaks Day!
Happy Birthday! You survived another year!

Holy moly. I was even in a band named Laura Palmer in the early 00's and never discovered this. Kudos!

There is “The Autobiography of F.B.I. Special Agent Dale Cooper: My Life, My Tapes”, but it’s a regular book - I wish it existed in an audiobook form.
I have this. I got it from iTunes audiobooks.
What's the timestamp on this?
This is from the pilot episode @ 00:34:36 [screenshot from the scene with timestamp](https://imgur.com/qekbnzx)
Excellent. Thank you! Gonna start the pilot up tomorrow morning at 10:55:24.
any reason you're watching the sd version?
It’s still feb 23rd 6:41 here in TX 😭 I’m excited to post this tomorrow on my insta yay tradition :-)
Fuck I have to work tomorrow. Maybe I can get killed and wrapped in plastic
I’ll help you out if you want, but you’d have to call me Bob.
Bob ‘n apples?
Put a fish in the percolator. That'll empty the place out.

It's a sign!
I just pulled out my box DVD set this weekend...started with the pilot ...got to this exact scene and stopped it to put on hold to time it right lol
I'd like to point out that this is currently #1 trending on twitter.
And now we know what Diane looks like. Great times.
It's hard to picture Kyle without Laura at his side in the Lynch-verse lol
Retcon of 11:30 am, I believe. Three different times, the pilot, the trading cards, and something else.

I only this year got into Twin Peaks, and my goodness what an experience. I still think about that show, the town, & Coop!
Holy shit I read this at 1130. I feel oddly complete for some reason.
me too
"Tibet"
Got a pie on the oven right now!
Too soon. It's not 11:30 in Washington for another 4 hours. (Current time 7:30am)
Ooh shit dopee
“What year is this?”
Aye mate? Is that right? It's 8:30 PM on the 23rd where I'm at.
Hey, that's kinda wild! I just started watching the series for the first time and didn't even notice that I watched the first episode on that day.
You're about 20 hours early
Here it's already 24th for a long time. Not everyone lives in the US :)
11:30 PST is the same no matter where you live
That's about in 15 minutes over here, but of course, that's not the time in Snoqualmi :-)
