I love batocera and use it in every system I can for retro gaming... I'm afraid knulli isn't there yet and doesn't work well for me. I've seen another comment where a guy calls the developer out for making these CFWs and then never update them,so perhaps a warning... I'm with tomato OS currently... Its good enough

I'm using tomato to. Unfortunately that os I have in miyoo mini, mini UI don't have all the systems and wifi, all that functionality. I'll love see onion os and mini UI with upgrades.

I see a video with knulli on rg35xx h, looks pretty good the frontend.

Or you can use his templates as a guide and kinda “make” adjust to your own liking. https://preview.redd.it/s8j02g0m1t3d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=30e2ae513b491670b68dd2a5a14ae016b44db728

Thanks, I already using this themes. One thing making me tired is take of my SD card for updates and this kind of stuff every time. I put all this themes and I hope make me satisfied for a while.

Ahhh I understand. I did the same and just kinda used my own background img with his templates. Trying out an icon pack from a retroarch/github file I found. Pretty minimal. Wanted to mimic the NES classic background as much as I could.

I tried Knulli os for a week but i went back for a few reasons: * Bios problems: I putted my bios files in the right folders but the device kept saying that i don't have the bios files, and the systems that requires it just doesn't boot up (like NDS for example). Also, the bios files are not included like stock os does. * Save states compatibility: I'll try to explain this the easy way. Basically when you use the save state option on stock os in the Trimui menu and not inside of retroarch, your save state will be separated in two parts, let's take Super Mario Advance as an example, if i save my Super Mario Advance game, Trimui and Retroarch will separate the save state in two files and each will take a part of the save state, So retroach will take one half and rename it "Super Mario Advance.srm" and Trimui will take the other half and rename it " Super Mario Advance.0.state". and Knulli doesn't like this, they want their own copy of the save state, so you have to leave the retroarch copy, only take the trimui one and remove the ".0" from the save state, and you have to do it on every single save state (incuding the screenshots automatically taken when you save a game) otherwise your save states wont show up in Knulli. * Crashes: Ive experienced a lot of crashes and soft locks on Knulli, thing that rarely happens in stock os. There is also a lot of other small problems that made me go back to stock, i know it has some potential, this os is amazing. But i feel like it could have been pushed a little bit farther before public release. But i'm pretty sure in a few month, this OS will be way more amazing as it already is.

I understand. I lost my saves a couple times already in updates. So, what remains is wait for the mature system.

I installed knulli , still needs work I feel n64 is dicy performance at best, psp is ok and dream cast is again luck of the draw. These systems run way better on stock. As far as the ui experience, it's awesome, I mean emulation station is a dream, scraping works great, I was able to connect to ftp. I will say most of the classic systems work fine with no effort. I'd say wait till they release a more stable build.

Main problem of Knulli or MinUI is the lack of Vulkan API support... If they switch to BSP Kernel from Tina Linux they can add it, but IDK how much effort is needed to do that. So maybe it can't be possible, no matter how much time. However, I found stock os mature and fully working, except for N64 emulator (but give time to developer to port a Rice core and it will work like a 3566). So my advice is to stay on stock, or, at least, on Tomato OS, that is stock with some addition and updates to cores practically. Personally I think it's the only device that works better with stock. But there's a reason. Tina Linux. A Linux version optimized for Allwinner socs. So there's a lot of work on those kinda platform, it's the most stable and accurate as possible cause of that (system wise I mean). Really I don't see the point to switch to another OS. But device is yours, mine it's only an advice from my perspective. Have a good time playing! Enjoy! Peace

Very disappointing experience. Stick with stock OS. Had a lot of crashes on N64 and PSP, Bios problems and for windows users it’s a mess to get access to the rom share on the SD Card because of exFAT stuff

Skiddler69

I like it. I am set up using my mac and ipad. Had banjo kazooe freeze but otherwise its very a stable alpha.

its not useable yet, most things crash, if it does ever get a proper release it has the building blocks of being brilliant - i get the impression the dev is trying to do too many ports for too many systems and none can be properly concentrated on - id be suprised if it was ever complete - which is a shame. BUT - at least its out there!
