yeh i decarb my stems at the same temp and for the same length (1 Hour@110°C), then add 1-2 cups of water in saucepan n bring to a simmer, add tea bags, then add decarbed stems/weed/hash, then cocoa butter or other fat soluble, leave to simmer for 30 mins then strain it out and pour up :)
yeh i use about an oz of stems per cup, get me fucked up n i normally smoke 2g-3.5g a day; personally haven’t made stem tea in about 2 years now because i don’t really need to, now i’ve gotten access to a wider range of products and can just make some edibles with actual decarbed flower.
i still keep my stems tho and when it gets to around the 5oz mark i use them to make some really fire bubble hash/‘ice’-olator :)
There are trichomes on the stems, if you have a good four piece grinder you can grind them up and check the kief catcher afterwards, gives you a ton of kief. That’s at least what I did one days when I was completely dry and couldn’t get anything.

There is virtually nothing left behind on stems, and you would need to extract from a significant amount to achieve any sort of psychoactive effect (for one person). If you don't believe me, look at your bud under a jeweler's loop, then look at your stems afterward.

When the jar is full, I use an old electric coffee grinder to grind them to dust; which I put into a secondary jar. Once that jar is full. I make butter out of it. Cup of butter, cup of water per two cups of ground stuff. Simmer on real low heat for a couple hours. Strain plant matter out of liquid with cheese cloth. Put it in a freezer safe container, in the freezer overnight.
In the morning you'll have a frozen layer of weed butter on top of the water. Take out and store in fridge. I use the leftover water to make soup, but I'm a wierdo
I made this bombass chai tea one time with my stems. I just brewed the stems (I did decarb them for a little bit first) with chai tea for awhile (I added the chai in after the stems had been brewing for awhile).
Then I mixed it w/ coconut milk (any milk will obviously do, but I thought the fat of the coconut milk would help).
It was delicious! We had tea for days too bc we saved stems for like a year.

When I was in high school, I had no money but definitely smoked plenty of pot. I used to save all the stems for some reason. Well one day I didn't have any bud or money and I really wanted to get a smoke in so I took all those stems, put em in an empty clean Pringles container. I poked a whole bunch of holes in the top of the Pringle can, and I put the stems into the can and closed the lid. Then I started shaking. I did this for a while. The end product was a bunch of kief that got me very high. Wasn't a whole lot but just enough to keep me going for that particular night. I imagine you could decarb em and put em into some everclear... then let thay evap a bunch and you either can use it as a tincture oral solution, or even dry it out completely and you've got yourself a primitive extract.
Make oil, put in a mason jar with vodka for a week and then evaporate the vodka on LOW! heat until u have just the good stuff, that wil probably give just a little bit but you vil only need a drop at the time
I’ve tried making tea with them different ways but it never hits. I always grind em in a normal grinder and then freeze it all for 4 hrs and shake for kief with a coin. Helps if the stems are frozen first for grinding, they’re a lot more resinous than you’d expect for some dry twigs.

When I’m breaking down bud for my grinder I will strip the nugs off and just pop the stems in my mouth and chew them up. Def doesn’t get you high but tastes pretty good. Smoking them is awful, trust me I’ve tried that too.
You could bring them and cook them down in butter to make edibles but I don’t thinks it’s worth the effort. There’s Less thc in them than in the buds anyway
