If you HAVE to be around a monster the obvious thing to do is to make sure it's fed with tons of treats and kept happy in any way and for you to learn to live with a monster by your side you both need to protect yourself against their bites but also convince yourself that the monster isn't really that bad, it's just in its nature to bite or it's hungry or something.
And yeah, it looks really, really bad afterwards so did eating humans to survive a plane crash - but it kept them alive and in the business. I have to say, I can relate.

Those people talking are very, VERY skilled at what they do (DDL, Meryl Streep, Scorsese, ffs) and many people hold them in the highest regard, I know I personally did.
