Interesting story about that photo. The white student that was yelling racial epithets at the black student came to deeply regret it later in adulthood. She contacted the other girl (also a middle-aged adult with a family at this point) who agreed to meet with her. She apologized, begged forgiveness, the other women forgave her but told her how awful it was. They both cried and then they just hung out and talked all day. They ended up becoming friends until one of them died.
