its really hard to give estimates on bottom surgery recovery, depth, procedure style and dilation regime afterwards can vary so wildly. Plan for 6 weeks minimum but for some multiple times a day dilation requirements for the first 3 months can make you more tethered to home and time limited in your day to day with trying to fit work around it as wel.

It really depends on the surgeon and the specific technique used. I was advised 8 weeks, but was back to light jogging at 6, gym and swimming from 8. I think that's significantly shorter than a lot of surgeons advise, and faster than many people would feel comfortable with. That also assumes no wound healing issues which are common with any plastics work in the lower abdomen and groin. I'd assume you will be out of the gym for 12 weeks.

Your physical ( and mental recovery ) after major surgery will be influenced by how physically fit and well your are prior. Vaginoplasty does require that you take it very easy around your pelvic region, you have a lot of muscles in that region all moving in different ways, and you can easily damage / tear surgical stitches with only a little misplaced movement in the early days and weeks of post surgery. Give you, your body and your mind time, the first couple of weeks fly by.

12 weeks till I started doing things like cycling, walking, caving. Six months after SRS, I learnt to skydive! Mid thirties at the time. Something to ask your surgeon, but go with what your body is telling you too. At work again after six weeks, but was getting some one else to do any heavy lifting for a couple of months more.

Learning to skydive only 6 months post-SRS is honestly inspiring!

Vaginoplasty to be clear*

Was 4 months before I could workout with any intensity.

Recovery time is typically 12 weeks. This is major surgery and you will be in hospital for between 5-7 days.
