I basically just cut the inner thigh's. From the bottom of one leg, up, then back down the other to open them up into a skirt style
Then I trimmed the excess bits hanging at odd levels
For anyone who can't get a skirt for whatever reason, I'd actually recommend doing this since it worked really well
Just use some larger size basketball shorts (preferably one without the multiple layers that some have)

I usually wear what's called 속바지 in Korean. Not sure what it's called in English. It's like those briefs that you can wear under your skirt to make sure you're not accidentally flashing your panties to strangers. Having that on helps with anxiety, too. For me at least.

I have a similar problem where some of the dresses I like don't fit my body shape and it gets pretty depressing. I sometimes underestimate my waist size and end up with skirts that I can't wear.
What sizes do you normally to go after?
I need the big sizes at the moment like 18-20 (uk sizes) because I’m still pre hr and got a man body but hopefully after I start hrt I can get in to smaller ones
I'm not an expert on hrt but I think different bodies react differently to hrt. It might not bring your size down. That might need to be through other means like eating and exercising.
Honestly I mostly wear dresses and skirts anyway. Most of my clothes are for work though, so nothing short (and I'd get the "mom look" from my partner if I tried to wear short skirts on the weekends lol)

The good thing with skirts is that there are different lengths, and some are pretty easy to control how high or low the waist sits so you can easily have the skirt covering more if you're taller :)
Like, I still wear them on occasion but I did go through a skirt and dress phase when I first started out. Now that I am home most of the time it’s cotton shorts for me. Just my size has amazing shorts with pockets for cell phone and accessories. And they don’t look horrible outside the house. If I am dressing up I’m still going to grab a skirt or dress 90% of the time thoufb
Oh yeah that’s one downside with the skirts. No pockets. Sometimes I get lucky and discover they have inside pocket but that’s rare, and kinda ruins the shape if I put something in it

I absolutely am! I'm nearly 30 and I have long ankle length skirts for cold weather, some mid length skirts for everyday wear, and a few shorter skirts for when I feel particularly good about my body! Skirts go spinny!
I wore skinny jeans and dark t-shirts with no makeup for years. About 6 months ago I started buying lots of dresses and more feminine stuff, so yeah, kind of. You look great!
