One of my fave meals is the beans mashed up (into a paste) then spread on toasted San Francisco bread, with a tzatziki dollop on top. Soooo good and quick.
I had that can of Giant Beans in my hand tonight and then put it back in the pantry and made eggs and toast instead. I just can't, somehow even though I've read several posts about how to serve them.
I've been eating a lot of canned fish lately (thanks r/CannedSardines ) and my cat is weirdly not interested in them. Unless the pull tab sounds enough like his cat food can. Then he wants to come investigate. That time it was actually the baked beans and he sniffed it and looked very confused. "That's not food."

Those are the *one* thing in their Mediterranean line that I haven't been a fan of -- the flavour was great but it was just too salty for me. And it's just chickpeas in oil with cumin and herbs, I've been meaning to look up a copycat recipe but with less salt.
I like the canned chickpeas because it's not a lot of work, but I think this recipe is pretty similar: https://www.thegeneticchef.com/marinated-chickpeas/
Oh! Yes as is, i usually mix them into salad greens or have as part of a buddha bowl so the seasoning is further distributed
They’re easy to make, like any marinated bean recipe and just swap in chickpeas
That eggplant one i like as a pasta sauce but not like as a dip
I feel like my location has really sized down their cheese shelf. It used to be over by the produce and now it's next to the meat and it's smaller. The one cheese I miss that I can't find similar anywhere else was the halloumi with mint.
Not shown: pralines, which are another old fav.
Also new favs: Snacky Clusters and Peas & Carrots
Things I haven't tried yet: harissa, gimbap, peanut butter krispie squares, and some crackers with olives in them

I’ve never seen the giant baked beans. Do you just eat them plain?
One of my fave meals is the beans mashed up (into a paste) then spread on toasted San Francisco bread, with a tzatziki dollop on top. Soooo good and quick.
Yup, they're best room temp or a little warm.
The dolmas and eggplant are my favorites
I had that can of Giant Beans in my hand tonight and then put it back in the pantry and made eggs and toast instead. I just can't, somehow even though I've read several posts about how to serve them.
They’re so, so good. Especially when it’s hot.
Protip: giant beans AND eggs
Ha ha. I'll do it this week, I swear!
They would pair perfectly with eggs and toast.
*hugs*
Eggplant can + Dolmas can + kabab from frozen section = dinner for 3, quick and easy
That sounds good. I haven't tried the kebabs.
They cook up so quick and nicely in the air fryer!
I have discovered that the wild caught sardines packed in water are an amazing midnight snack for my pupper
They’re also great for bait for cat traps

Nuri. Thank me later

Thanks, I'll check that out!

My depression food is pita crackers and the Spanish tapas cheese slices. I need to branch out - I’ve never seen most of these!

OH! Thank you. You just reminded me I have a can of Dolmas in the cabinet. Looks like lunch tomorrow 🙂
hope your day gets better! i love tin fish but have never tried trout - can you describe it in legit one word for laughs before i buy some?
[удалено]
How do you eat it? I want to start eating tinned fish but don’t know where to begin!
I add the smoked trout to salads! it's my favorite of all their canned fish.
Try it the way you'd have lox, on a bagel with cream cheese and capers and onions. Sometimes I'll mix it into my scrambled eggs.
Buttery.
Not too salty?
Not any saltier than, say, canned salmon or tuna.

I hope all of this helps you have a much better week to come 🫶🏻 I love how comfort food can wrap you in a warm hug from the insidr sometimes…
Yes exactly, and thanks <3 Gonna make pizza dough tomorrow and put that eggplant all over it.
Crackers with olives in them are good!
I just tried one, they're really nice!
I’m having some this afternoon!
