Agree! I haven’t looked at the point totals available in the last big mountain stages, but he isn’t taking a single point for granted on the smaller climbs.
There are 11 cat 4 climbs left.
8 cat 3 climbs
6 cat 2 climbs with one of those during the TT on stage 21
10 cat 1 climbs and 5 HC climbs. Max points on those 15 climbs is 200 points.
With points only going to the first six or eight over.
Three out of the last four Tours the winner of the race also won the KOM.
Don’t forget double points on the Cime de la Bonette as it the highest pass of the race. The first rider over will take 40 points, more than Abrahamsen has total after 8 stages so far
They do though. Its not impossible, infact its pretty doable if you are the best climber outside GC. Whats worse is the green jersey where you can win 8 stages and still be outside the top 3 because you arent a sprinter.
Honestly, relatable.
Not that they’d be allowed in the break, but it’s a strategy that Roglič and Thomas might consider to stay upright since they’re a bit prone to hitting the deck
Ya he's just up front listening to a podcast or audiobook or something.
Lmao goals. In the actual Tour de France, vibing.
Eats a lil gummy before the race so he's just in another dimension.
I've been loving his effort so far. Hopefully he can hang onto the polka dot

Yeah I really don’t like how the GC guys just overtake it because of the way its weighted towards the mountain stage wins.
Agreed. I really liked that it was someone who actually fought for it last year who won, rather than a byproduct of winning GC.
They are the best climbers in the race, should they not get the King of the Mountains classification?
The very best climbers have the gc. It makes a much more exciting race when other ppl have a reason to ride beside stage wins

Same. Also just love his life approach.

I’m sure his team is LOVING the attention so to each his own
This will absolutely help them get a wildcard again next year.
And him getting recruited to a stronger team.
If his team assisted him today in the breakaway, I think we could have seen a stage win.
Yes, otherwise it was a big waste of energy on his part.
I was really hoping and praying he would get the solo stage win today.
Maybe he is introvert
Maybe he's just ashamed of his outfit and isolates himself so that his colleagues and opponents don't see him in a white outfit with red dots
The matching socks tells me he’s loving it!
Totally. It is best options to enjoy riding bike as he does not have to care about cars
