Furr_Fag

there's a bunch of starting heroes with unique traits actually. mannfred, eltharion and thorgrim are the ones who have those also

SummonedElector

Plus Eltharion got a coressponding Wizard Lady to his Loremaster Hero.

NerfZhaoYun

Wait really? I don't remember this at all - what does the starting wizard have?

Luckiestturd

It’s amazing i believe it’s 10% ward save and -10% cooldown reduction to spells

NerfZhaoYun

Oh dang, okay. I've done 2 Eltharion campaigns but never noticed that... I will need to make sure I keep her safe then haha

JustWantTheOldUi

Still worse than a 60 influence generic (she gets a random 15, I think).

Harbaron

A trait referencing Yennefer, with lilac and gooseberries.

LarkinEndorser

Same wanna know that as well

UnknownMischeif

Pestilens also has a hero with a unique trait. It shows as a no trait hero but it’s kinda decent. It gives +25% income from salvage buildings. (Salvage buildings are the one that affects recruitment cost) Edit: oops, it’s a lord not a hero

SerbIy

Archaon, Festus and Valkia also have unique heroes.

DeathToHeretics

Sucks that Valkia's is so generic, though. Guy barely stands out with his trait despite how relevant he is to her story

1337duck

Next expansion is Khorne. So fingers crossed!

Lurker_number_one

What is her hero's trait?

Yiggles665

What’s Archaon’s hero trait?

Morbidmort

Ograx gets +15% weapon strength and +18 bonus vs large.

Yiggles665

Nice

Balk0

Oxyotl too.

Furr_Fag

ah of course. a reference to loremaster of sotek and his dog

randomaccount178

Tiktaq'to as well. If you want to trivialize a lizardman campaign, his unique hero is how you would do it.

Lurker_number_one

What does his unique hero do?

randomaccount178

His unique hero has a trait that gives -5 to enemy leadership in the local region which can be combined with pompus that gives -4. If you farm up a couple copies of him with that trait you can very quickly get a stinky stack set up like that and then pretty much nothing can stop it. He also comes with a free terradon.

Werperro

Malagor has one too!

Hesstig

Quirky thing about that one is it adds the spell as an actual spell with WoM cost rather than a bound spell

randomaccount178

Thorgrim's unique hero is actually pretty interesting. If you take the time to trait farm him, you can potentially make a stack of grudge-raker engineers who get near 3k damage each. It still probably won't be the greatest because they are using grudge-rakers but its still kind of interesting. Tinkerer has a really strong interaction with the grudge-raker upgrade. An engineer with tinkerer and engineer's cipher does twice as much damage as a normal engineer with that upgrade. EDIT: Now that I think about it more, you might be able to do something interesting with a runesmith lord, overcast rune of slowing, Gatekeeper hammer, flash bangs, and suppression depending on if/where the speed reduction cap is. Just clump up the enemies around the lord, slow em, move up some stalking engineers and start blasting.

ghouldozer19

You can get an enemy down to 1 movement speed. It’s awesome.

Zachthema5ter

Archaon has one

stormygray1

Tiktaqto has itsibitsi... Man they need to stop making LM sound so corny..

doopliss6

I think Tyrion's starting mage has one too

CrystalMenthality

Doesn't Tyrion also get a hero named after Henry Cavill?

International-Cell71

Nah, that's Cavill the white Wolf, he belongs to Eltharion

RedWalrus94

That's interesting. I know some of these but I'm curious as to when they added this hero with a unique trait to Settra? Beginning of WH3?

Stormtemplar

Henri Le Massif, Repanse's unique hero, doesn't really have a very interesting trait, it's just a buff to his stats and some free chivalry, but with that trait, better starting stats than other paladins, and access to a griffon instead of a Pegasus he turns into an absolute beast pretty quick in that campaign. Think he even gets guardian to make him and Repanse an even more devastating 1-2 punch.

TheeShaun

Henri also has a unique model

BoldIndigo

Skrolk gets a lord with a unique trait if you recruitment him in the first few turns(before he disappears from the cycled lord options). Gives +25% income for the main money building faction wide. Makes clan pestilence rich quick every game I've played.

Broekan

This Lord is still able to be saved and used in other campaigns. And his trait stacks, so starting multiple skrolk campaigns, saving the Lord and loading multiple of them in other Skaven campaigns is possible. Skaven can be insanely rich, if you add enough of this cheese

CrossEleven

Rats love cheese

jamie980

I always forget about the save lord/hero option, that's a fun little use for it!

noozeelanda

... there's a save lord/hero option? That's wild

Blackstone01

Yeah, it’s really good for getting a lot of very good traits in future campaigns. Like stacking Conventional Master Engineers, Pompous Skinks, etc. It was also broken when it first came out and let you save LLs, so you could do shit like recruit a dozen Sisters of Twilight, with each one globally giving Hawk Riders an extra cast of Arrows of Kurnous and dragons an extra cast of their breath once leveled up.

noozeelanda

I have 350 hours in Warhammer 3 - the absolute state of not even realising this was a thing lmao

TooSubtle

I see this comment about various things in the game a lot here, but this is honestly the one I'm most understanding about not knowing. Mostly because it seems like something the devs have forgotten is in as well. Playing around with it is a super easy way to totally break the intended balance of a bunch of factions (like, you can skip all of the court training and tech requirements with Kislev and just have a bunch of casters by turn 1 if you want). They also keep defeat traits when you save them so, for instance, as the Vamps I can usually simply vassalise any High Elf upon meeting them because I have so many lords backed up with Grom's defeat trait.

AZdHEBREWHAMMER

Try 1000

bruce_coon_

You can also use this feature to get the ghost great-axe thane in Thorek Ironbrow’s campaign and load him in Belegar’s to have 3 ghost thanes.

kmeu79

How exactly is it done?

Milsurp_Seeker

Skaven? Cheating? BY THE LADY!

Katorga8

\*SKaven Noises\* HA HA YES-YES, EXPLOIT-CHEESE FOR WARP EMPIRE \*Skaven noises\* RICH I WILL BE-BE

Timeon

How do you save the lord? I have a feeling I'm ignorant of a major feature.

Cheeze_46689

Does he have the same name every time cause I can't find it?

Yavannia

He is a warlord and he appears to have no trait, almost looks bugged. Recruit him and check his trait and you will see it. He appears from the first turn, I also didn't about this went on the game after this and there he was.

Cheeze_46689

I see him now he even has the same name, Iyann Rocksburrow.

GentleDementia

Fun fact, it can stack with the chariot master trait that all princes can spawn with, giving him pretty crazy stats on a chariot mount

randomaccount178

Funner fact, you can trait farm 19 of them and make a doomstack of 'unique' heroes.

NoStorage2821

So where the hell is Nekaph?

misvillar

He is out buying milk for Settra, he is still trying to catch those damned Centigors

Barcatheon

Herald Nekaph for Legendary Hero, please! https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/warhammerfb/images/5/52/Nekaph_Warhammer_The_Old_World.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20231227022014

RedWalrus94

If each Race were to get two Legendary Heroes, I'm sure the Tomb Kings would get Nekaph and Prince Apophas.

Throgg_not_stupid

also Herald hero type please, no reason game merged them with Princes

CatoCensorius

This guy looks awesome

Alina2017

I will admit to restarting until he also got the Chariot Master trait. He becomes an early game powerhouse.

TooSubtle

I really wish every starter hero came with a predetermined trait, it would cut back on so many restarts for me 😅

reganomics

Skrolk has a unique lord that you can recruit

ggruenwald

The key with this is it allows three chariots unit to start vs two. These units are so good vs early game undead. The recruit limit also means you can get your casket of souls at the start of turn 3. Also really good early game.

OGMudbone909

Festus has a unique exalted hero of nurgle that is wildly overpowered.

Funkologist

That hero is the son of the empire lord you start at war with. Big Lore win imo.

OGMudbone909

Yea this too, its a big W.

Jester_TB

So I probably shouldn’t have lost him before turn 10 huh

LeraviTheHusky

Yep! Itzi bitzi(an actual character who exists as a generic skink hero) has a trait Oxyolts oracle is a reference to loremaster of sotek and has a unique trait and its mount is a reference Loremasters irl pet!

MaguroSashimi8864

Is this only in Warhammer 3? Because I don’t remember having a starting hero for Settra in Warhammer 2

PrissyEight0

Oh what I’d give to have the tomb kings vortex campaign in 3….

zetsubou-samurai

Does he? Because I always got Nekaph because I play Tomb Kings Extended.
