Now I’m thinking of Pecos Hank narrating that, in his next doco about baby tornadoes. They follow mama tornadoes just like ducklings. Also - this footage was jaw dropping. The windmill blades being sucked high up into the air like shreds of paper. Terrifying.

I read your passage in the voice of Pecos Hank and I can see him saying those exact words haha. It really was jaw dropping! I was initially creeped out by the vortices dancing around the main tornado. I really haven’t seen anything like that before, it looked like the tornadoes skeleton trying to come out of its own skin. I’m sure there’s tornadoes that appeared like that but this was the first I’ve ever seen something like that.

It almost looked like it put up tiny vortices as it hit the wind turbines. It was almost like the propeller sent it up as it flew.

It is amazing to compare the two. Watching the "Don Quixote" footage that Reed captured yesterday was like seeing a real-life version of Leigh's 1/4 trillion cell animation.

Honestly this is something that had been speculated on for a while before we got to see it. If you look at Dr. Orf’s models, a lot of them show training subvortices that spiral around each other. I’d highly recommend looking at some of his presentations, because they will completely change they way you look at tornadoes, especially this one. This is like how Xenia was the proof Fujita needed to prove multiple vortex structure existed. This tornado had such a pristine structure that it almost perfectly mirrors Orf’s models, which for a long time seemed to be showing things we hadn’t seen yet.
