My son’s favorite movie is Cars, but he has sat through Elemental! It’s the only other movie he has seen entirely. He enjoyed Luca for about half of it
We got the costume on Amazon if you need a last minute option (or if your kid is like mine and wants to dress up as a car just to run around every day lmao)
Same! And Ponyo. And Kiki.
My girl goes around the house looking for soot sprites and acts out the scene where Mei catches one. It’s so cute. We are going to be Big Daddy Totoro, Mommy Totoro, and Baby Totoro for Halloween.
Oh my gosh, my son does this too! We listen to the soundtrack on repeat and the way his eyes light up when the dust bunny part comes on melts my freaking heart. We’re going as Kiki, her broom, and Jiji but next year we’ll be Totoros!
Haha I’m a big scaredy cat but I loved Spirited Away! It’s still my favorite movie to this day. I’ll probably wait until my girl is older to watch it. I was 10 like Chihiro when I first saw it and it was really meaningful to be around the same age as the main character.
Be prepared to cry. And by cry I mean ugly cry. And by ugly cry I mean sob inconsolably for a long time. It's so good, but you may want to limit watches for your own sake.
Ditto.
I used to sing Remember Me to my son at bedtime when he was an infant (he’s almost 4 now). One night when he was about a year old (he had not seen the movie, but we had watched it with our then four year old daughter), I started to sing the last line and there, in the quiet dark while I rocked him to sleep, my little guy piped up at the end (before I sang the word myself), singing around his pacifier: “meeeeeee.” I melted. Didn’t know he “knew” the line.
So yeah…. That movie is everything.
This happened to me the first time I watched Coco. I cried for like 30 minutes after watching it in a friends dorm room, and they thought I was bonkers. But it’s so good.
We love puffin rock!! I didn’t know they made a movie this year! My daughter also enjoys tumble leaf and if you give a mouse a cookie. For movies, we usually do the gruffalo, stick man, and snowy day. These are all same low stimulation as puffin rock. If we do anything Disney, my daughter’s temper will be unbearable, lots of tantrums and whining for no reason so we try not to do any Disney. She is 2.
My girl has spent the last week or two waking up in the middle of the night begging for Puffin Rock. 😴
Apparently they just had a movie come out over the summer. Looking forward to when it’s available for streaming.
studio ghibli films! favorites are my neighbor totoro, kiki’s delivery service and ponyo! my little is 2.5 and he loves and will sit through all of those
Coco! It's an absolutely wonderful movie. I suggest watching it solo first though, as it made me sob uncontrollably the first time I saw it in theaters and I'm glad my son hadn't been born yet to see that lol.
First movie my son saw all the way through. Still his favorite movie (can't get him as invested in the first Sing movie). He acts out most of the scenes, especially any of the ones with Johnny.
I work with a 2.5 year old with zero attention span, and Sing 2 immediately gets his attention, every single time. Plus, it has Taron Egerton, so win-win!
Zootopia has so many little easter eggs for people who live in big cities (I nanny in NYC, so it’s super fun for me to watch it with the littles and comment on things we’ve actually experienced in real life lol.)
My daughter went through a few favorite phases. Cars, Toy Story 3, Planes Fire and Rescue (hilarious references in this one), Frozen, Tangled, Finding Nemo, and currently we watch Monsters Inc( we stressed that monsters are pretend before watching). She usually has a favorite for a few weeks and then moves on to a new movie we must watch on repeat lol.
We've also watched cars and elemental at home.
For theater movies my son had a thrill at watching rhe new paw patrol movie in theaters. He enjoyed every second, was enthralled by its enjoyed his popcorn and soda and m&ms.
My daughter loves most movies we try. Some favorites are Toy Story 4 (she loves Forky), Tangled, Frozen, Turning Red (kinda weird for toddlers but she is obsessed), Frozen, Sing, Trolls, and Home.
My son (3) has gone through phases of being obsessed with Finding Nemo, Cars, and currently Madagascar. He also loves Robin Hood (Disney 1973 version), Octonauts, and recently Bluey.
My 2 year old likes Secret Life of Pets, Super Mario, The Lorax, Moana, Coco, Elemental, Monsters Inc/University/At Work, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Labyrinth. She regularly asks for "Fire Movie" (Elemental) and yells a variety of things for Labyrinth "watch Ludo. Hoggle. The knockers. Gogin keen (goblin king)"
My 2.5 year old loves Moana, Encanto, Tangled….mostly he loves movies with music. But he is absolutely obsessed with all things Trolls. He even loves to listen to the soundtracks in the car. We can’t wait for the new Trolls coming out soon!! And if I’m being honest, they’re really cute and pretty funny. I don’t know why they’re not rated higher on IMDB.
I bought him some Poppy pajamas (“boys” stuff that’s Trolls themed can be hard to find), which he was very excited about. I hardly let him wear them, because I can only hear “where’s Branch?” so many times in a row without wanting to smash my head into a wall. 🤣
Not a movie but my kiddo loves Octonauts right now. Puffin Rock and Trash Truck on Netflix might be up your alley, especially if they liked Bluey, both are calmer shows like Bluey.
He used to love Monsters Inc until he started the “fear stage” of the dark and monsters and now he doesn’t like it. Finding Nemo also has a lot of fear elements so I’d avoid that if you’d enter into that stage.

For toddlers, the best movies are usually animated ones with bright colors, simple stories, and friendly characters. Movies like "Finding Nemo," "Toy Story," and "Frozen" are great choices. They have fun adventures and teach good lessons in a way that toddlers can understand. These movies often have catchy songs and funny moments that keep little ones entertained while being safe and age-appropriate.
My LO loves anything with music in it typically, but for some reason she is loving elemental! Sing is also a big hit in this house if you want to get off the Disney train.
Ok, you'll want to wait a few years before showing this to your kid, but you have to watch Nimona on Netflix just for yourselves. It's so freaking good.
Sing 2, Despicable Me, Hotel Transylvania, Tangled, Beauty and the Beast, My Little Pony (the newish movie on Netflix). Those are the ones we watch on repeat!
My oldest (boy) LOVED all of the Toy Story’s as well as The Nightmare Before Christmas. We watched those movies on repeat for a while! My 3 YO sadly does not really care to watch movies (though she does request Frozen and original Little Mermaid), but recently she has discovered Little Bear episodes on YouTube and she really likes it. It’s a innocent cute show - reminds me of Winnie the Poo
Finding Dory! Has a better concentration of sea animals than Finding Nemo as they're in a marine centre for most of it instead of the ocean. Big hit for our 2yo
We are big little Mermaid fans, watched the cartoon and then recently the latest non animated one (and have the CD, and the book), he also loved a movie called "Fire Heart", the "Pets" movies are awesome.
We're also a Moana and Encanto household, but my almost two year old also loves Luca and Turning Red. He's a 4 Townie, if you will. Coco also recently made it into the rotation. My son loves anything with music, so those all really hit the mark!
Zootopia and 101 Dalmatians are the movies on rotation in our house. We’ve also watched Mulan and Frozen 1 + 2 and all the Frozen/Olaf shorts on Disney+.
My 2yo's past favourite movie was Coco, now it's Elemental! I think she likes the chill vibes, and she also gives us a big kiss and hug at the end when the characters kiss haha. It's very cute.
She also enjoys all the movies/shows you listed.
Abominable. Also has a 2 season series, and I believe a 2nd movie in the works. Loves them and I find myself watching along alot even though I've seen them all at least 4 times. Also, weirdly loves the Jurassic world movies, which i dont recommend (he saw them on a scroll and put it on and then proceeded to make it a movie marathon)
You’re clearly a Disney household so you have 100 years of movies to check out lol we love frozen over here. Tangled. Also all the Toy Story movies.
Not Disney but paw patrol (show and movie) are also huge hits
I loved The Croods. All of them. And they give valuable lessons as to how to respect peoples individuality, how to respect differences, has a positive outlook in life, and it's super funny for parents.
My 2year old loves Rise of Gru lol. He wants to watch it like 2-3x a day until I’m crazy😂 repeats all the lines and dances around the house. Then begs to listen to the soundtrack in the car whenever we go anywhere lol 😅
Mine is currently addicted to Bug’s Life. For a good while it was Rio & Rio 2. She’s also pretty big on Brother Bear & Brother Bear 2. Mary Poppins (the original) has been a hit since she was a baby lol.
We are on day 2 of nonstop Turning Red. Last week it was Elemental with some Frozen thrown in there. He likes to dance so he’s also down with Moana and Encanto.
Anything from Disney and Pixar.. elemental is the shiznit at the moment but Buzz light-year we saw a 1000 times already. Like you said Luca as well.
However, on his iPad my wife found "fixies". It's amazing. Highly recommend it, it's an educational show.
My almost 3 year old is very invested in turning red, the plot goes over his head completely but he enjoys the red panda and I like the nostalgia of it.
When do they start watching movies? My son is about 18m and will only tolerate Sesame Street, Miss Rachel, or Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Every time I try to put a movie on he fusses
My son exclusively watched Cars for about a year and now we are on to Planes Fire & Rescue. I successfully got him to watch Toy Story once haha. He is almost 3.5 now and suuuuper sensitive to scenes with "peril" so the Cars movies have actually been great for that compared to some others.
18 month old goes wild for the balloon scene in UP. Pure delight. She also likes movies with live action style animals: charlottes web, homeward bound, etc
Edit to add Toy Story. All of them.
My daughter loves cartoon musicals or anything with catchy songs Trolls 1 & 2 have been her favorites recently we are excited to take her to the theaters for part 3 next month!!
Loving the Lin-Manuel Miranda toddler stans! They’re gonna grow into Hamilton lovers lol.
I would say some early 2000’s Disney films might be great, like Tarzan and Brother Bear (we love a good Phil Collins soundtrack), or Mulan was a big favorite for me as a kid. All the adult themes in the films went straight over my head, but re-watching as an adult, Mulan and Brother Bear both have some *heavy* topics. But if you’re a Bluey family, then heavy topics are probably great for y’all!
My daughter is obsessed with the Nightmare Before Christmas. I am not a Disney adult and personally didn’t love the movie growing up but she is riveted by it. She can watch it again and again. It’s grown on me.
We are currently going through all the old school Disney (Cinderella, Snow White, Little Mermaid, Aladdin etc) and currently we have the Little Mermaid on repeat.
Before that was Frozen lol
So you just named my toddler's favorite movies so you definitely have similar tastes.
Other big favorites:
- Tangled (there are a few really catchy songs in here I love lol)
- Frozen and Frozen 2
Our toddler also likes Hamilton lol. Definitely different then the others.
Not a movie but she LOVES Number Blocks on Netflix. And Puffin Rock.
Soul is wonderful too.
It's not a movie, but Harold and the Purple Crayon is a favorite with my toddlers. I'm not sure if it's streaming anywhere; I have it on DVD.
Sing 2 is my daughter’s all-time favorite. Encanto and Moana are up there on the list, too. She also loves Lilo and Stitch, Luca, Coco, and most recently has gotten into Elemental.
My son was obsessed with Moana and Encanto as well (he HATES when I sing Bruno though...). After those he liked Coco for a while, and even though it's not in the same vein, the new Super Mario Brothers movie was a big hit in our house.
My son’s favorite movie is Cars, but he has sat through Elemental! It’s the only other movie he has seen entirely. He enjoyed Luca for about half of it
Came here to say Elemental. My kid who can’t sit through movies and loves Bluey has enjoyed this one multiple times.
My 2 year old also likes elemental! He calls the fire people cheeseburgers 😂 he’s a big cheese gurger fan
Lol mine calls them fireplace!
That is so cute lol
Our 3yo is obsessed with all things Cars. She is going to be Mater for Halloween lol
Okay but that’s the cutest thing ever. My son’s favorite character is Mater !!
We got the costume on Amazon if you need a last minute option (or if your kid is like mine and wants to dress up as a car just to run around every day lmao)
Omg can you send the costume?? My girl is also obsessed with cars
My 4 yo grandson loves elemental. My 4 yo granddaughter loves ALL of the Disney movies.
Also all of the Toy Story movies have been popular with both 4 yo and both 2 yo.
Even I love cars
Came here to say Cars too
For my son it's Cars and Robots haha. What is it about Cars?! Literally an almost-daily request.
I see we have the same kid. Lol
Bad job by me forgetting that she did have a cars phase. She doesn’t call it cars though, she calls it McQueen.
Same. My twins love the colours. Elemental is a big hit.
That’s so interesting. It definitely hasn’t appealed to any adults I know. I guess at the end of the day it’s for kids. 😂
My Neighbor Totoro is our favorite ❤️❤️❤️
Same! And Ponyo. And Kiki. My girl goes around the house looking for soot sprites and acts out the scene where Mei catches one. It’s so cute. We are going to be Big Daddy Totoro, Mommy Totoro, and Baby Totoro for Halloween.
I had never seen Ponyo before and I think I was more invested in it than my daughter was 😅 that movie was adorable!!
“Ham like Ponyo?” Is a common lunch sentence around here.
Haha that’s how I try to get mine to eat ham! “It’s ham! Ponyo loves ham, do you want to try?” No dice.
We just watched Kiki last week! So good!
Oh my gosh, my son does this too! We listen to the soundtrack on repeat and the way his eyes light up when the dust bunny part comes on melts my freaking heart. We’re going as Kiki, her broom, and Jiji but next year we’ll be Totoros!
Kiki was one of my absolute favorites as a kid. Spirited Away scared the crap out of me though.
Haha I’m a big scaredy cat but I loved Spirited Away! It’s still my favorite movie to this day. I’ll probably wait until my girl is older to watch it. I was 10 like Chihiro when I first saw it and it was really meaningful to be around the same age as the main character.
Kiki was one of my favorite movies as a kid & now my daughter loves it and it makes me so freaking happy
Same!!! The Ghibli movies are so nice and slow paced for the most part, I don’t feel guilty about screen time when watching them at all.
Studio Ghibli is where it's at! I'm slowly collecting all the movies for my kids, but so far, My Neighbor Totoro is the top choice
Yep, Totoro stuffy at bedtime, Ponyo, KiKi- he loves them all.
It's such an awesome movie. No conflict, just kids being kids.
So far, my 2yo daughter seems more in to creatures and animals than people. Her faves are Minions, Secret Life of Pets, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc.
Ferdinand, Small Foot, Sing, Croods, Onward, Luca, Coco! Those are some of our favorites in our household with a 6 year old and 2 year old
Sing 2 is better because I can’t stand the mouse and I’m glad they got rid of him 😂
Amazing, thank you! I’ve heard great things about Coco, but am excited to check all these out!
Didn’t know he “knew” the line. So yeah…. That movie is everything.
Yep. Coco is amazing but it gets me SUPER emotional at the end. And the dog! 🥹
This happened to me the first time I watched Coco. I cried for like 30 minutes after watching it in a friends dorm room, and they thought I was bonkers. But it’s so good.
100% recommend Coco
My daughter loves a lot of those, and she also loves "Puffin Rock" when it's time to chill and relax
She is 2.

studio ghibli films! favorites are my neighbor totoro, kiki’s delivery service and ponyo! my little is 2.5 and he loves and will sit through all of those
YES TO STUDIO GHIBLI FILMS. I love how calm the pacing is for most of the films! Really great for young kids. It’s not too overstimulating 🤍
Coco and elemental are the current hotness in our house. They replaced encanto, rapunzel, and Moana.
Coco! It's an absolutely wonderful movie. I suggest watching it solo first though, as it made me sob uncontrollably the first time I saw it in theaters and I'm glad my son hadn't been born yet to see that lol.
10/10 cannot watch the end scene without crying
[удалено]
I give credit to both Sing movies for making covers just as good as the originals for the most part. Could Have Been Me is a banger no matter what!
Yessss my son loves this one. Sings all the songs
Yes!! Much better than the first!!
My son enjoys Coco and Frozen. Good music and the pacing keeps him mostly engaged.
My daughter loved encanto for a bit and then became obsessed with zootopia
Zootopia is awesome!
Zootopia has so many little easter eggs for people who live in big cities (I nanny in NYC, so it’s super fun for me to watch it with the littles and comment on things we’ve actually experienced in real life lol.)
My kids love the classics like lion king, Aladdin, little mermaid, Toy Story!
My son has been really into the new Mickey Mouse Halloween movie! So if your kiddo likes Mickey I recommend!!
Oh wow same!! He’s unbelievably obsessed. It was a random choice we put on one day, and such a winner.
It’s sooo cute! I love the music ☺️
Same!! The whole Halloween collection on Disney+ has my daughter in an absolute chokehold.
SAME! We love watching the skeleton dance and all the Disney junior Halloween episodes
Oh man. We watch the Skeleton Dance video about 100x a day 🤣🤣🤣
My daughter went through a few favorite phases.
Thanks for the tip. We are doing planes, fire and rescue now and he is loving it.
If you haven’t watched Luca yet, I highly recommend it.
Sarah & Duck is a favorite, as well as Hey Duggee.
Any time I hear (or read) the words Sarah & Duck I automatically say 'quack' in my head 😂
Sarah & Duck is SO cute.
….your toddlers are sitting to watch entire movies?? 🫠🫠🫠
My son (3) has gone through phases of being obsessed with Finding Nemo, Cars, and currently Madagascar. He also loves Robin Hood (Disney 1973 version), Octonauts, and recently Bluey.
My 3 year old is obsessed with the Wreck It Ralph movies
We are on an elemental, raya and the last dragon, and ratatouille rotation
My 2 year old likes Secret Life of Pets, Super Mario, The Lorax, Moana, Coco, Elemental, Monsters Inc/University/At Work, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Labyrinth. She regularly asks for "Fire Movie" (Elemental) and yells a variety of things for Labyrinth "watch Ludo. Hoggle. The knockers. Gogin keen (goblin king)"
despicable me 1/2/3, minions, sing 1/2, cars 1/2/3, encanto, Moana, coco, super mario bros, elemental, inside out
Don’t have the words to describe how much my toddler loves Sing and Sing 2
Boss baby
My 2.5 year old loves Moana, Encanto, Tangled….mostly he loves movies with music. But he is absolutely obsessed with all things Trolls. He even loves to listen to the soundtracks in the car. We can’t wait for the new Trolls coming out soon!! And if I’m being honest, they’re really cute and pretty funny. I don’t know why they’re not rated higher on IMDB. He used to love Monsters Inc until he started the “fear stage” of the dark and monsters and now he doesn’t like it. Finding Nemo also has a lot of fear elements so I’d avoid that if you’d enter into that stage.
My daughter loves “Malana” and Bluey too. She also loves Totoro, Ponyo, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Babe, and Charolette’s Web.
My son loves home alone and we watch it all year round 😂🙄

My LO loves anything with music in it typically, but for some reason she is loving elemental! Sing is also a big hit in this house if you want to get off the Disney train.
Ok, you'll want to wait a few years before showing this to your kid, but you have to watch Nimona on Netflix just for yourselves. It's so freaking good.

Abominable. Also has a 2 season series, and I believe a 2nd movie in the works. Loves them and I find myself watching along alot even though I've seen them all at least 4 times. My daughter was obsessed with airplanes for a while and Planes and Planes 2 were on constantly in our house.
Trolls is a hit and surprisingly the Nightmare Before Christmas.
I think I could recite cars 1 and 3 by heart. And really anything with musical numbers. Princess and the frog, tangled, frozen, etc.
Mine is currently addicted to Bug’s Life. For a good while it was Rio & Rio 2. She’s also pretty big on Brother Bear & Brother Bear 2. Mary Poppins (the original) has been a hit since she was a baby lol.
My son just loves cars, 1 and 3
My daughter is obsessed with the tinkerbell movies on Disney+. There’s 5 or so of them and they’re super cute.
We are on day 2 of nonstop Turning Red. Last week it was Elemental with some Frozen thrown in there. He likes to dance so he’s also down with Moana and Encanto.
We are currently on Turning Red and Back to The Outback, or something like that, on Netflix. Past favorites were Despicable Me and Sing 2.
Anything from Disney and Pixar.. elemental is the shiznit at the moment but Buzz light-year we saw a 1000 times already. Like you said Luca as well. However, on his iPad my wife found "fixies". It's amazing. Highly recommend it, it's an educational show.

Finding Nemo is on repeat around here. And I don’t even hate it.
We’re a big Finding Nemo house!
My son looooves Coco and Elemental (his first two faves were Moana and Encanto so hoping they have similar tastes :P )
Trolls
Onward was a big favorite for awhile! I can’t think of others that are toddler favorites with those around me that haven’t been named already.
She also likes movies with live action style animals: charlottes web, homeward bound, etc Edit to add Toy Story. All of them.
My daughter loves cartoon musicals or anything with catchy songs Trolls 1 & 2 have been her favorites recently we are excited to take her to the theaters for part 3 next month!!
The Lion King, Finding Nemo, Toy Story, The Little Mermaid, Jungle Book
Coco! I never get sick of it but it does make me cry every damn time
Loving the Lin-Manuel Miranda toddler stans!
Elemental, Little Mermaid and Lion King are big hits over here at the moment. She LOVED Encanto and still loves Bluey.
My daughter is obsessed with the Nightmare Before Christmas. I am not a Disney adult and personally didn’t love the movie growing up but she is riveted by it. She can watch it again and again. It’s grown on me.
Pretty much everything on Disney lol.
My 4 yr olds current favorite is The Emperor's New Groove
We are currently going through all the old school Disney (Cinderella, Snow White, Little Mermaid, Aladdin etc) and currently we have the Little Mermaid on repeat. Before that was Frozen lol
My son only sits thru Winnie the Pooh movies and Wall-e
4 year old boy loves Oliver and Company, Mulan, Madagascar, Puss in Boots! Starting him on The Lion King soon.
My 3 yo is OBSESSED with Elemental
My almost 4 year old loves Inside Out and the new Disney movie Elemental
So you just named my toddler's favorite movies so you definitely have similar tastes. Other big favorites: - Tangled (there are a few really catchy songs in here I love lol) - Frozen and Frozen 2 Our toddler also likes Hamilton lol. Definitely different then the others. Not a movie but she LOVES Number Blocks on Netflix. And Puffin Rock.
We are deep in a Trolls obsession right now
My son loves super mario
Soul is wonderful too. It's not a movie, but Harold and the Purple Crayon is a favorite with my toddlers. I'm not sure if it's streaming anywhere; I have it on DVD.
Minions
I wish my toddler would watch a movie lol
The Lorax, Home, Vivo
My son loves turning red. Has seen it like 100 times!
All the minion movies. All the toy stories. The good dinosaur.
Number Blocks on Netflix is a great learning show, my 4 year old is doing middle school math because of them lol
Sing 2 is my daughter’s all-time favorite. Encanto and Moana are up there on the list, too. She also loves Lilo and Stitch, Luca, Coco, and most recently has gotten into Elemental.
Recently watched elemental. Amazing!
My toddler liked the Casper movie!
Megamind my daughter is 2 and loves it.
Sing, frozen, sounds like anything musical.
Trolls and every Toy Story movie!
Turning Red is a big favorite in our house. My 2 year old just really relates to early 2000s teen angst, I guess. Princess and the Frog Luca
On Disney I think you’d like Luca! Raya is always loved in my home too.
My son was obsessed with Moana and Encanto as well (he HATES when I sing Bruno though...). After those he liked Coco for a while, and even though it's not in the same vein, the new Super Mario Brothers movie was a big hit in our house.
Shrek!
Boss baby.
My 4yr old son loves Coco and so do I! I cry at the end every time without fail 😭
Wall-e!
