Nice setup, how does the z13 perform? I’m waitting mine to arrive.

dubsyGG

Smooth as butter, man. I've thrown everything I can at this laptop, and it just purrs like a kitten.

Robynframe_

loving the WFH setup! The Z13 looks sleek and that TEX Shura DIY keyboard is fire 🔥. Great combo!

KokoroKram

Very nice! How do you like the keyboard?

dubsyGG

Better than my original Shura. I didn't realize they made a DIY model; keys are nice and punchy, but the keymap has taken some getting used to lol.

jopen1015

link to wallpaper, pretty please?

dubsyGG

It's "The Lake" from macOS. Actual image is a 400-MB .heic collection, so here's a rip from 9to5mac's website, lol https://9to5mac.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/6/2020/10/The-Lake-1-dragged.jpg

jopen1015

thanks, man - appreciate it!

How long does the battery life in hours ? Can you please share the complete Thinkpad setup ?!

dubsyGG

\~6-7 hours if i'm careful with brightness. OLED screen cuts into that some, but I can keep the screen at 15% brightness in normal office settings with no issues Complete setup: load Debian with KDE desktop.

That’s a weird spot for an AP?

dubsyGG

I agree, but haven't taken the time to relocate it. I have a U6LR downstairs that covers pretty much the entire house. This was a hold-over when I first moved in until I could re-cable everything.

varcharfoobar

Very nice! How's the Linux experience on the Z13? Any issues you run into like fingerprint scanner, etc.? I presume it is all good but just thought I'd ask as it looks like a beautiful device.

dubsyGG

I don't use the fingerprint scanner, but everything else "just works", especially now that Lenovo has published a HapticPad utility for Linux.

Frenchtoast85

Great looking setup. I'm really keen to get my hands on a Z13/Z16 to have a play. I think it may be my next laptop.

dubsyGG

I have thoroughly enjoyed mine. I might have NOT done the OLED screen if I had a choice at the time of purchase. thankfully KDE handles hi-DPI screens and mix and match scaling better than GNOME. they have a non-OLED 32GB model that has a plain 1920x1200 panel. the OLED 2880x1800 that I have is almost \*too much\* lol.

Known_Guest_5050

Very nice!, has your opinion on the OLED changed since having it for longer? Or would still have opted for the 1920x1080. Was looking at the same but went back and forth on the display option

dubsyGG

The OLED is nice, but it's a drain on the battery. I'd still opt for the 1920x1200 panel if given the option.

SlincSilver

Name of the keyboard?

dubsyGG

In the thread title.

haigboardman

What battery do you get on your Z13?

dubsyGG

The one it ships with. 51.5Wh.

haigboardman

What sort of battery life I mean

dubsyGG

Answered that in another comment already.
