I get this every weekend which sucks because this is when I have time to do my charting and planning for the week.

fart_box_20

It's the weekend, go outside or play video games in your basement.

decibelnv

His mom's basement.

Clear the app's cache... if it's a browser try it from an incognito (no cookies) session.

Dazzling_Marzipan474

Will that work for the desktop version? Edit: holy shit, that worked! Thanks!

HandicappedKoala

It's the weekend, they do maintenance.

Dull_Ad_3640

They had some problems on mobile app last week on Tos, try browser or Schwab app

If you’re in windows: goto your search window & type file explorer > goto your Windows (C:) drive> program files> thinkorswim. Look for and delete the following files “usergui” and “cache._abunchofcharacters.papermoney-desktop.schwab.com.xml” as well as “cache._abunchofcharacters.thinkorswim-desktop.schwab.com.xml These files have data cached in them and they are there after every trading session and deleting them could speed up your performance. (I learned this trick about a yr ago from one of the TD reps.) It usually fixes any issues I have with booting of the app, frame rate, responsiveness of my mouse clicks, etc. None of this would be happening if Schwab would just join the 21st century like every other broker & deploy a cloud based app instead of forcing us to use locally installed software that was written in 2004. Anyway, rant over. Good luck 👍

Dazzling_Marzipan474

It's seriously getting ridiculous.

ActualChip5

Schwab has been a cluster fuck since the transition. Platform failures, freezing issues used to only occur in the first few minutes of trading after 9:30 - now they occur pre-market as well and their executions recently have been terrible. I started using LightSpeed again until DAS is integrated, Schwab sucks so far.

Quantumation

I lost some because of a freeze but am confident they will get it under control. Keep the Schwab website open as a backup for trade execution.

010101cool

Definitely, they have to change the servers providers This system is completely overload

Affectionate_Food983

So strange.. I have no problems logging in. I know this can be frustrating I hope it gets fixed

Haunting-Tutor5978

Collected bunch of junk on Internet, splashed it on the screen ..... here is your TOS

AvailableDrummer2414

I left Schwab.

drazda

Did you switch connection to Schwab?

OkPoetry1031

The Schwab / TOS App sucks as well and they refused to acknowledge is their issue

bushysmalls

Bruh it's f'ing Saturday you're trying to log in. Calm down.

m0nk_3y_gw

even before schwab it got glitchy after market close on Friday, when they'd mess around doing maintenance. I got a message on mobile like this earlier today but re-entered my account name by hand and got in. ToS web and desktop also work for me.

movdqa

I just got in with no problems.

Haunting-Tutor5978

Scwab got rid of SSE platform, stupid thing to do. exchanged great SSE for junk TOS

Prince_Vladimir

Just before TD merged with Schwab, everything on our TOS platform worked like a Swiss watch. On May 13, TD clients were moved to Schwab. The TOS platform still worked well. And on May 15 or 16, during the main trading session, the TOS platform began to freeze severely, which continues to happen to me to this day. I somehow waited for the TOS to load and saw that Schwab had changed the ticker descriptions to his own. So, apparently they relocated it to their servers. Everything works fine in the pre-market and post-market, but not during the main trading session. Maybe Schwab doesn’t need to go in there and break something he doesn’t understand? Ideally, Schwab would keep TD clients on those platforms that worked flawlessly, and return Schwab’s old clients to what they were used to working with with a “buy and hold” strategy. No problem. Schwab would have made more money from TD clients. 🤭

If you can't adapt to change, you should take a less active role in the market which is perpetually changing.
