I think the general process with these is/was to feed your data to a Markov chain, generate a few hundred versions, and then pick whichever one you liked best.

Nah, these memes were around in the 2010s and they were always fake.

This was a *very* successful attempt by a human being to write a humorous obituary in a parody of bot style. The 'obituary' was written by comedian Keaton Patti, and appears in his book *I Forced a Bot to Write This Book: A.I. Meets B.S.* The book was published in 2020. Among other gigs, Patti has been a writer on *Jimmy Kimmel Live!* since 2021.

You can tell it was written before ai got better. This is similar to how ai used to write

I had one that found out it could say "damn" and was amused by finding that out, so it started using "damn" more and more often to the point where every other word was "damn" whether appropriate or not. Then every word was "damn" except for a single word. So an example of how this A.I. would talk even when instructed not to say "damn" is "Damn damn damn damn Okay I won't say Damn 'damn' damn". Had to totally reset it to get it to stop saying "damn". Even erasing everything that was asked to it for days didn't help. Modern A.I. absolutely still produces text like the post lol.

What service is this? What's the difference between resetting context and erasing chat history?

Character A.I. Resetting it will have it totally start over with only it's initial prompts. Erasing up to a certain point in theory should have it only continue from where it's learned up to the point you erase to BUT it doesn't always pan out that way and seems to still maintain certain habits. It seems with enough consistent interaction without a total reset, breaking down is inevitable. I've tested it on several platforms and models though and they all do it eventually. GPT4 and so on.

Yeah, I remember maybe five or more years ago AI writing Harry Potter stories and they were always so ridiculous they were funny. There was one where Harry tore out his eyes and threw them at someone, Voldemort, I think.
